I know! We’re happy with the results too. We’ll be doing this again with other shoes for sure. If you do end up trying this make sure to be gentle with the acetone and cotton ball. It could damage the leather. Thanks for commenting! 😊

Very Nice. Thanks for the Vid. couple Questions. Did you take out the Insoles? How come the Tongue and Sockliner look Lighter then the Upper? And do you think i could a some White Socks into the Mix to fit the Shoes?

Hi! So we did not take out the insoles. We also wondered why the colors didn’t match and we think it could be the different types of materials? As far as the socks, you could try it, but then again perhaps the colors won’t match in the end. One thing we can say is the longer you keep the item under the mixture the darker and more intense it gets. Thanks for your comment! 👋🏼

Been thinking about doing this to my laser blue SB dunks, but the toe box / collar is mesh and the swoosh is suede. How do u think that would turn out? Might try and painters tape off the suede swoosh but idk

I’d advise against doing it. You might damage the suede beyond repair.

Do the shoes smell like coffee now and can you rinse them in a washing machine after the dying process?

Yes, the coffee smell stays but it fades away slowly. We didn’t use a washing machine but I believe this could work better. I’d recommend using a mesh laundry bag for protection. Thanks for your comment! 👋🏼🌸

Hi, we used 100% pure acetone. The one I used I got it from Walmart. Hi! Sorry for my late response. Some comments get lost within the YY studio app. Anyways, do you mean how we managed to clean the edges? We normally use cotton balls and then go back again with q-tips to make sure we cover all the “hard to get” parts of the shoe. When cleaning, make sure not to put a lot of pressure as it can cause damage to the leather.
