The level of skating from the pros down to skatepark local grommies, so freaken high,to have tricks and style stand out from the ocean of skateboard content, must be so daunting. But if you ever go skating, and you’re not having fun, you’re doing something wrong
it does look shit tbh and not grippy by the looks of it in this footage. u could say its like a nyjah 2 apparently which is less grippy than nyjah 1. im all about cupsole and dunks and not slim footed and not like denis buznits low flat sole at the front and higher at the heel. i skate many SB dunks and love them forever. i like Emerica Tilts too and had many pairs when younger. i also love ES Accel slims but find the structure to be more flimsy than say a dunk.
I always opted for SB Blazers instead of SB Bruins. Not sure why the Bruin is seemingly re-tooled every few years with minimal success, but i actually dig this version. Forest Gump colorway and black suede look sick.
The Forest Gump colorway? It’s based on the Cortez, which is a timeless design. Not sure Nike SB will ever release an original, new design with massive success in and outside of skateboarding. At least, not as big as the Janoski was.
@@ianturnbow7011 No you did get me wrong, what I was saying is that the Gump color way is so good looking that could be a new timeless piece, like the Janoski. Does that make sense? I know is based on the Cortez, I just wish that in the future they'll keep making the BRSB along with the others, like Blazers, Dunks etc
@@foamy_things nah, you’re getting me wrong, Giovanni. The Cortez already exists. Nike borrowing the colorway isn’t exactly revolutionary, especially because the Bruin has seen pretty shit sales. Nike SB continues to create an alternate version of the Bruin every few years. The changes are never well received. Sales are historically low. It doesn’t matter how the technology changes, which tech is used, which colorways drop, whoever is skating them on the team, or anything else. The Bruin returns every few years and slowly disappears because of historically low sales. Demand is low and sales are low.
@@ianturnbow7011 Yes now I get it, thank you for the reply! Well then I'll just have to say that I really really like the silhouette and the color way of the BRSB, wish that the sales go well so I can keep buying and skating my favorite looking shoe right now ahahah Have a nice one!
@@2TrainWakefield for the record i am Mexican so there’s no need to pull the “racist” card out when I’m just making a joke about the shoe. It’s facts that you can get jumped/killed for wearing an OG Cortez. But these yeah I don’t think any harm would be done so imo cholos would look at those say “those sum weird ass shoes foo”
@@deathwish133 man, people can still be racist towards their own race. I feel you though. I’m multiracial, but predominantly Latino. My non-Latino friends don’t usually feel comfortable when I make jokes about my people and culture, especially my White friends.
