Nike Vomero 17 | Watch Before You Buy 

This is one great shoe (IMHO). This is what the 40th Anniversary of the Pegasus should've been. So smooth and comfortable on those long runs.That Zoom X midsole foam on top with the Cushlon 3.0 on the bottom is 🔥.

Thanks Emily. At last someone calling Nike out about constantly designing shoes for heel strikers only. Nike not everyone heel strikes. I’m not talking about zero drop shoes but look at 5 to 8mm drop shoes particularly max cushion shoes. I love the Invincible, three pairs but Nike should shift 2mm of cushion from the rear to forefoot. Same with the Vomero 15 which would have been a great shoe with a lower drop.

Good review Emily! I have been running for over 40 years and Nike shoes are not the shoe for me. Sometimes I think they focus more on looks than practicality. Hi Ruby......you are sooooo cute and precious 💕 🐕

Great review and hi ruby for me Nike has always felt narrow its been a long while since I used Nike I tend to stick with new balence which fit me well mostly and hoka

I have a pair and it’s so nice and comfortable the weight in the heel make it feel heavier in the heel for sure. The very inflexible shoe actually if something I love otherwise I think this would be a super unstable shoe. Especially with the zoomX. I think not everything has to be crazy soft.. I think it’s well thought on tbf, definitely more stable, cushioned and responsive underfoot for daily training. The heel counter bothers me a bit no blister or anything but just felt like it tight weirdly tight.

I also felt that it has a lot of upper materials making the laces slip a bit.

Sagusa running had some of the same problems, and another major one. Retired the shoe at 100 miles.

This was my experience with the 16. From slappy midsole to over dressed outsole. It’s the 2017 max cushion shoe of the year. It’s a 2023 plush yet firm daily trainer. Pass for me. Thanks for the review

This Vomero is wide for Nike shoes. Good for me but not if you have narrow foot.

Love my Vomeros

I would love to see how this shoe stacks up against the Infinity Run 4. I kind of test ran them both at Dick's Sporting Goods and seem to like the Infinity Run 4 better when most people don't seem to.

I In terms of "breathable," how would you rank these three Nike's shoes for you : Nike Vomero 17 ,ReactX Infinity Run 4 and the Invincible Run 3 ? Thanks.

Great analysis, and you are spot on with your area "refinements" of shoe!! FYI: regarding longevity of bottom sole, it looks exactly like the sole of the Vamero 16 and if it is, it does wear down somewhat quickly. I had the 16 for everyday walking around (no fast walking exercise) and after about 45 days there was a good wearing of bottom, I was disappointed because I thought like how you are thinking.. Conversely, I have Nimbus 25 and after a month of daily use which includes a daily "4 mile fast pace walking", those bottoms LMAO are bullet proof 😂😂😂, barely anything.. .. Nike doesnt make good running shoes for mid entry and their top end (expensive 1) is good. Everything else is mid and other brands like asics and hoka are way better.
