Thanks for the great video. Seem poor in wet conditions, but how is the grip on wet pavements? I tried the Saucony endorphin edge which were great on trails but lethal on wet pavements. Hoping the Nikes are better on wet pavements (to get to the trails)?
Older trail Nikes I have were outright dangerous on wet, slick city surfaces. I have a piece of skin missing from my hand due to how bad they are on the wet. I say if you encounter any moisture at all look for another brand. I went for the Speedgoat 5 next just for the vibram outsole.
Ah yes, Nike's infamous wet grip. I loved the Kiger 4 and 5 in terms of fit and feel but I just got so sick of wiping out on slightly moist leaves that I switched to Inov-8's Trailfly 270 and haven't looked back.
Just watching the highlights of the Golden Trail Series race in Flagstaff and I spy Nienke Brinkman is in a ZoomX trail shoe that isn't the Zegama. Hopefully there is better to come
@@dan-zo4eb - I hadn’t seen those before but I’ve found a pic and can confirm they were the shoes she was wearing. She Won. Francesco was using the Zegama in the same race, he did well but didn’t make top 5.
Also saw sally mcrae in something really compact and nimble looking that i can t find on Nike roster so far, maybe the Ultra Fly. To Me the idea of having zoomx on trails feels like a wonderful idea but Ben Parkes almost broke his neck in them(Zegama) at UTMB 2022 and pulled out of the race so it was barely a promo for the shoe :)))). Currently running in the Peg Trail 4 and it s a pretty fast cool shoe with decent ground feel but wouldn t take them over 50k on the trail.
