@@HiddenHunterSeven Yeah I fully agree with you on that. Its such a pity he had to leave the company because if he didn't we might would've seen Niko Bellic making a return in GTA 5 as an unplayable side Character, who knows? Since Niko is my favorite protagonist in the series, a GTA without Niko bellic in it just doesn't feel so right to me. Btw I still play GTA IV till this day xD
@@CelestialWolf246 Niko's character was so amazing and deep, it was RDR2 level I think. Also my favorite protagonist, obviously. I wish I could play IV. Whenever I try to start it, I get some green letters and it crashes. Been trying for a week to fix it. Nothing works.
@@HiddenHunterSeven Oh, I am sorry to hear about that. I myself played GTA IV on various other platforms in different times. My first interaction with the game began with my old Xbox 360 console. That was the first ever gameplay that made me an IV fan and made me enjoy every minute of the game. Years later in 2020 we bought a new Gaming PC so I finally got the chance to re-enjoy the good old memories I had with the game. I bought the latest version on steam for sale and have been playing on the latest version until I made the decision to downgrade it to the 2008 disc version just to get back the classic songs of the old Vladivostok FM and in order to mod the game (which doesnt work on the newest steam patch)
Maybe the most under-appreciated video game character performance ever. People love Niko, but it seems as though this guy is never talked about or credited enough in comparison to Steven Ogg, etc. The performance of Niko Bellic is stunning. The writing is obviously a huge part of it, but man I love that character, he had more depth to him than any GTA character before or after him.
It’s so sad seeing him like this when everyone knows he was underpaid for the role. Take 2 Interactive and rockstar are so greedy they can’t even give him a decent enough pay out for one of the greatest portrayals for video games.
Isaac Jaay in my opinion it would all depend on how they went about it and definitely not a whole game dedicated to him but him appearing in a future gta would be awesome but that’d go for any former gta protagonist lol 😂 most of them at least
3:16 throughout the video, the voice doesn't sound like Niko but at the end he brought Niko out. It would be funny if his brother calls him every now and then and asks him if he wants to go bowling.
I'll admit he had the benefit of the best GTA script and overall story but frankly Niko is the Tony Soprano of games and this dude nailed it. Such a character.
@@mercilessghostx7344 rockstar made a mistake with him he is one of the best voice actor they ever work with, his work was too good to be paid like that.
1: He won't be in gta 6. Hes not on good terms of rockstar anymore. Because, after seeing the gta 4 trailer success he wanted more money but rockstar didn't give him the money. 2: there will not be a gta 6 for 3 reasons 1: the guy that produced gta died in 2014 2: they would need another Protagonist. 3: they would need to write a whole other storyline, that's hard to make *Sorry but it's true* Edit: since people hate my comment I'm deleting it in 5 days. Welp people can argue with me but that's what I heard. So doesn't make it a joke, doesn't make me a liar, and doesn't make me dumb
Unfortunately Rockstar really screwed this guy over. He was paid $100k and then the gamed grossed well over $2 billion. Then they made the expansions and wanted him back, so he asked to be compensated appropriately, Rockstar told him to fuck off. The few Niko lines in the expansions were recordinga cut from the main game.
It sucks that the guy here who played Niko Bellic isn't on good terms with Rockstar anymore (as far as we know), after the game was released and it got super popular, he expected Rockstar to pay him extra for how well the game performed, but Rockstar didn't. I hope at some point they resolve their issues and we can maybe see Niko return, they've hinted at him lots of times.
God I miss her! She was one of the first RU-vidrs on the platform in 2007, and yeah, she was a gamer. Probably she would be the youtuber with the most subscribers in the world if only she hadn't left RU-vid without a trace. Ultraneko lost but not forgotten! ♥️😪
@@denlillavatten.67yearsago82 Cj was the best and its not my opinion its a fact. Cj was a real gangster who actually did gang activities in the hood. Niko was just some dude trying to get money and tommy is just a fake scarface character and scarface was never real anyway. It's a fake movie lol fuck tommy and niko cj was the real g. Every other gta character is a joke and thats a fact
@@CLK944 it was a joke sir. I think Rockstar should had given Michael Hollick atleast more money. Liotta was a whiner if I have to believe the developers
He deserves a spotlike like the voice actors of gta 5. Shame Rockstar underpaid him. They treated gta 4 like shit. Nico Bellic is my favorite charakter. Thanks to this guy.
GTA IV is one or the most underrated and under-appreciated game in the franchise in my opinion. I wish I could meet the voice actors in 2028 for a 20 year anniversary.
You guys are lame bro cj waz a real gangster from the hood and was the best. At least he wasn't some 90 year old man from another country lmao wtf? Just no
@@verno836 bruh he couldn't even fight properly whatt? Niko was soft. Cj can learn 3 different fighting styles. And can stomp on people. Niko cant do nothin but throw soft jabs he aint tougher than cj
Keep in mind, Rockstar or Take Two fucked over this guy. That's why We barely see Niko Bellic now. Shame that GTA IV didn't get any ports or remasters. Basically nothing when the 10 years anniversary came and went.
@@shadow_is_weird8991 Don't sign a contract without reading them! It had $100.000 on paper and if he wanted more money from Rockstar to provide the voice acting of Niko, he could've just be brave enough to say "You gonna need to give me more money than just $100.000" before signing. If only that shit it's legitimate.
@@vicvega24 I'm pretty sure that no-one on Earth knows whether a game will be good or not before it's released to the public. You make it seem like he knew the game was a success before it came out, but didn't ask for a pay raise. He requested more money following the success of the game and Rockstar denied his request. If he was as ballsy asking for a higher pay as you said he should have been, he would've most definitely would've been denied a contract and replaced by some other guy.
Wait, so instead of hiring a Serbian or other slavic actor they coached an American to learn Eastern European english accent? wtf lol wow. Reminds me of NASA spending tons of money to make a pen write in zero gravity while russians used pencil.
No. 1 Gaming Protagonist imo. My personal favorite. Niko is the only guy in gaming who has a realistically depressed dark tone, and touched the heart with story of life. Most of the gaming protagonist has out of touch heroic story, but Niko Bellic's story is the most depressing and realistic, He was not doing a Hero shit, He was just a hired gun who had tough backstory and trying to do ok with his life and trying to get out of this criminal world. We dont have easy relatable guy in Gaming or Movies anymore. Most of gaming and movies nowadays are out of range Hero Shit. GTA IV shaped and motivated me a lot irl. Thanks so much to "Michael Hollick" for protraying this character as it is.
