CJ is my fav protagonist but i gotta give papa Niko the W too. He's much more of a threat than the other characters, since he was a soldier and actually went to war in his past. He has much more experience than all the other protagonists. Sorry CJ fans, but he cant beat Niko.
The other protagonists are no match to Niko cause he's the most trained and accurate when it comes to fighting and shooting. Though CJ can improve his abilities even learning kick boxing and Kung fu and to use weapons better so he can match Niko for the abilities (Niko is trained in Krav Maga and kick boxing and in shooting from the militaries) but Carl still won't match his experience since Niko fought in the war. Same goes with Vic Vance he should have Niko's same abilities since he's a soldier too but he lacks Niko's experience in fighting in a war.
Plus remember he has been killing WAR SOLDIERS since he was 13 keep that in mind he wasn't even in high school yet and he already was bombing and murdering.

@@bladerunner2182 Air force, not army. Trevor had 4 year of ACADEMY TRAINING and was later removed because he failed the psych exams. So it doesnt really mean anything to Niko who was a Teenage Soldier who fought since he was 13 years old, Niko had more experience than Trevor.
To me Luis feels like a more fleshed out character due to relatability. Sure Niko is great with a great story but he feels more like a device to move the plot forward whereas Luis feels like a friend or maybe even yourself and acts like a person you’d meet irl
Idk mike is just a low level gang banger and niko has military training haung knows some martial arts so he might be good in a fight with hands but I still think niko wins
I think CJ, Trevor, Tommy and Claude could make a 1v1 dificult for Nico. CJ because he infiltraded a military base by himself and he stole a jet from the military as well. Trevor because he is Trevor. Tommy because of his nickname the hardwood butcher. Tommy killed 11 hitmen who ambushed him. Claude because he made dangerous enemies and still was able to survive. Atleast it is unknown if Claude survived long after the events of gta 3.
If Rockstar would kill Niko like they killed Johnny the people would go MAD, they'd protest against this and not accept, but we hope this will never happen
Niko is hands down the most dangerous open world crime protagonist, followed by Trevor, Arthur Morgan and Lincoln Clay. The only OWC character who could possibly beat him is "the boss" from the saints row series but only due to quite frankly, ridiculous feats

Trevor would be one of the few protagonists who would last long with Niko. Maybe he would give Niko a hard time. But the ones that can be a threat to Niko for sure are Arthur Morgan/John Marston and Max Payne

He also raided naval base and stole a fighter jet He went against US government twice and came back alive No feat of niko is comparable to these feats. Character wise niko ain't decimating no one. Cj is great in character wise too.
Finally someone who is not overhyping trevor for no reason. Sure trevor is a maniac but he is on michael level. Niko is way above those. You can argue about his rampage ability that allows him to tank nukes, explosive, bullets, punches and such, but niko is not a maniac. He is a professional, he will understand that the ability wouldn't last forever and there is weakness in the ability because probably met and killed a more psycho maniac than trevor. Basically Brain > muscle

trevor has a high iq he was at some point a part of the airforce he was a gifted pilot and to be in the aiforce even training level you have to be very smart trevor is also the best with numbers and math which was mentioned in game and by the time trevors ability runs out he wouldve already mingunned niko with the damage boost so by the time it runs out niko is already dead
Trevor can give Niko a problem due to him being former Special Air Force. Sure, they don't do much fist fight since... They fly plane, but I'm sure they done some cqc
Niko and CJ would be the ultimate duo, these guys together could do some heavy serious damage to about every opponent. They're one of the best fighters, they can shoot very well, are both very smart and they are very determined fighters with great willpower. These two as a team would be like this duo from Army of Two.
From the appearance and age gap - I don't think he'll be able to Face Niko and Other Old Protagonist like Tommy and CJ. - But who knows , maybe he is a Hidden Psychopath .
Vercetti has a whole city and each of them fought an army at once or twice. Tommy fought armies nearly every day. Niko escaped from the police at public enemy rank, Trevor&Michael fought against them in armor and Tommy did it without that. Tommy 🗿🐐
