Adam, you might have misophonia like me where you can’t tolerate sounds of some everyday things that other people finds normal. Chewing sounds irritate me so much that I avoid eating with other people who I know I can’t just say ‘close your mouth’ to multiple times.

He isn't some super smart person who's "two steps ahead." He just gained a ton of weight, potentially lost weight privately, and now he's profiting off of this also. This isn't a social experiment regardless. He really gained weight and acted erratic, was terrible to certain people (Stephanie in particular), received a public response to all that and then lost weight. What is he two steps ahead of? What is the social experiment?
I mean he did play a character this whole time so I can believe it was more to gain attention rather than being an experiment. Still, I wouldn't say he was very aware of what he was doing and exaggerating his videos a loot

I'm sorry, but what did he actually win? What's so innovative in his social experiment? He didn't prove anything that we already didn't know. umm what made me incredibly uncomfortable was the way he was talking to his bird and the way he was petting it im pretty sure ur not supposed to pet them anywhere blow the neck because it basically stimulates sex hormones or something and makes the birds to think ur trying to mate with it he’s basically sexually touching his bird that’s why “he gets so excited when i pet his back” really grossed me out he might not know but i don’t even own birds and i know so i feel like bird owners should know that

I just did a quick google and apparently, you're only supposed to pet a bird around their head. Elsewhere causes uhhhh inapropriate stimulation. I feel grossed out bc it feels like nik always does subtle fetish content.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I have never liked Nikocado Avocado. He just seems too manipulative and creepy for me. I have never watched him and won't do so now. I am happy that he has lost so much weight. It is much healthier for him. Now, hopefully, he will maintain this healthy lifestyle for a brighter future.

I just have to mention this because it bothered me every single time Nikocado touched that bird. The bird is not just "happy to be pet" lmao he's freaking out getting so "excited" because Nik is literally turning the bird on. Stroking their feathers like that is very stimulating and essentially gets them horny and sometimes very frustrated/worked up. For that reason you're really only supposed to "pet" most birds from the neck up. This alone just tells me Nikocado is not as smart as he wants the public to believe because most educated bird owners are aware of this. And while I appreciate his performance, this video did not serve in the way he thought it did. It's giving serial killer, it's giving God complex.

I'm in recovery from an ED. Some days I feel like what's the point of recovery when it feels like society is pushing us all towards disordered eating and extreme weight loss??? All of this weight loss stuff in our faces(ozempic, this weird ass cringey video of his, ) has all been very hard on my 11 year recovery and I imagine I'm not the only one. Even the stuff like this that is... just so stupid. Also, i'm pretty sure he just has an eating disorder and he is using "social experiment" as an excuse to not recover, but i guess with ozempic we can all have EDs now and ppl will keep excusing it.
no i totally agree. diet culture has always been a sickness but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better no matter how much ED is talked about. add ozempic and other weight-loss trends into that conversation and everything has just gone to hell. as someone also in recovery it’s incredibly hard to watch people do things like this to themselves and be celebrated for it. it just continues to promote that unhealthy narrative. at this point i won’t even entertain a conversation with someone if it becomes a discussion on weight or diet. both for personal health reasons and also just because why tf are we even talking about this you guys, let’s all take care of our bodies properly, privately, and move on.

The experiment was he started his weight loss journey two years ago. Within those two years, he was uploading pre-recorded videos.. he fooled people into thinking he was still obese making mukbang videos, and of course viewers were eating it up and making fun of him, while the whole time he was working to lose the weight. Other RU-vidrs like Sunnyv2 would post videos on Nick pretty much laughing at him and calling him a disgrace and yet he didn’t have a single clue lol. Meanwhile, the only people who knew he was losing weight was his family, production crew, and his dietitian and fitness coach. And the fact they kept it all a secret is commendable. He gave us a hint in his older video that once he turned 30, he would lose weight. He turned 30 two years ago.

I truly think that his "new" videos are the ones that are backfilmed from probably years ago. I don't know, everything about it...the way he looks, talks, his general demeanor, Mr. Noodle being there, his skin not sagging or aging, his referring to an uncertain amount of time ("8 years...or more"), his reaction to heavy food. Either way, he's pretty smart for this one, I'll give him that.
If anyone watches stephanie soo it seems kinda strange that he wore the panda head in the beginning… knowing that her husband does that to hide his identity.. and they had beef a few years back where she called him out for being a manipulator. strange.

I remember that at the time, he had a different, shittier looking panda head that he used in videos immediately after Stephanie called him out which means he bought a new one that is the exact same model as the one mistermangobutt uses. It’s basically like nick is saying “Fuck you. I did nothing wrong and I don’t regret my actions” to Stephanie and all of her viewers because anyone who was a viewer of hers at the same would not believe this bs. This just shows that he feels zero remorse and has not changed as a person. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
I feel him saying "it feels like a bad dream" is really telling. It wasn't a social experiment but I do think he learned a lot about society through it, I think he ended up in a dark place in life. Food and RU-vid was his coping mechanism, imo, I genuinely hope he is doing better mentally and physically. I hope he opens up to us a bit more about his experiences with food and taking control of his life again, I feel it could help a lot of people who feel stuck in that loop he seemed to be in.
While I agree and I definitely think it could help people I don’t think he’s the right person to be talking about it. Just because he comes across as manipulative to me. No one is thinking about how maybe he pre filmed since the beginning of last year and he just got gastric bypass surgery and was super strict with how he ate (clean/vegan) so he lost even more weight quickly. Then the excess skin removal came after obviously.

Whether people would somehow magically intuit that he was losing weight behind the scenes? I don't get it. Whether people would watch content that has no true value? @elizabethb1096 it really depends on the the rate that he lost the weight. I lost 136lbs in a year and had no excess/hanging skin. It's not a reach to think that he could lose 250 in 2 years with no hanging skin

The weight loss is great, and impressive sure (that’s incredibly difficult, I won’t fault him that)…. HOWEVER! Let’s not forget the other stuff he’s done and the absolute shit he’s pulled. And this whole monologue is lowkey unsettling. He’s the villain overseeing our internet ant farm or whatever…. by his own design….. Wild. He had the bird when he first did videos. Then he said it died and was sobbing all through a video. Then later on he admitted to leaving it with friends in Columbia when they moved back to the states. He loves to put on a show. I saw him as a young teenager....he went to school with my kids. My daughter was good friends with his sister. He was always bizarre and loved to be over the top/all eyes on me. His violin playing at school concerts was SO amazing.
I definitely believe it’s recycled content while he was actively loosing weight. The voice gives me shivers tho at the beginning actually made me so uncomfortable. I will say tho that him eating all that food in his 2 comeback videos (1 on each channel) is really really toxic. To say that he’s been fooling us all and not some obese sick person. He’s making it clear he is still VERY sick. He needs therapy. The way he eats is a mental illness. It feels like watching someone self harm. I can’t participate. The ASMR while he’s eating makes me nauseous too. I’m a big girl so this isn’t a fatphobic issue, it’s watching someone harm themselves for views. I watched this video cuz I love Adam but I have to fast forward his parts.
