Hi everyone,
we did a comparison between Nikon P1000 and Canon SX60HS, it was shot at Maldives on a cloudy and windy day. Sorry for the shakey video, the wind was just to strong. Hope you like the video, leave a comment below and don't forget to subscribe to the channel.

I have a Canon SX60hs, thanks for this compare! In my opinion it is not much diffrenz between the zoom on this two cameras, the Zoom on the P1000 is a bit more, but the quality on the last more zoom on the P1000 goes down and without a Tripod i think you get no stable pictures here anymore. When i see the size diffrenz between this two cameras, than i'm very lucky with my SX60hs! For me was a big reason to buy the Canon while it has a "Microphone IN jack". Thx for that Video.

Add zoom in 4K in P1000 - you'll see the difference.

Hi MorioThank you for the comparison really nice to see someone is comparing the P1000 vs Canon SX60.I have a SX60 since end of 2014 and still performs great.Still after the Canon SX70 release in November can't find any comparison or test between the P1000 vs SX70 on the web, only tech specs, would like to see how the 20 mega pixel affect the maximum zoom quality between the 2.At least the SX70 has now Panoramic but still no Star Mode.

If you have the SX60 there's not point in changing to SX70 until it 'dies'. Unless you are desperate for 4K video. Better panoramas are done by having the camera vertical and rotating about the nodal point, rather than using any inbuilt facility. Vastly better evf on the '70.

the canon is more stabile and focus faster in zoom.

Thank you for the comparison. The Nikon is more capable but it's twice as much as the Canon. I know the Nikon can shoot in 4K but I don't know many people who have 4K TVs or computer monitors (including myself). Still, better zoom on the Nikon which I think would be the one to go with if you can get it for a decent price.

True, except the difference is not all that big, insignificant to be honest, you could buy two canon cameras for the price of the Coolpix P1000, and the canon image quality and IS are superior to those of the P1000. It's nice to have both. I use the SX40 and SX60, they are amazing cameras, my P950 is also a great camera but not as good as the Canon to be honest except for the Zoom. A slight difference. It's not all that important to me.

I think that it's not the best way to test the cameras zoom with the point of view over the water because the aberration produced at that distance.

This feature was 1 reason for me to buy that cam, with the Rode Videomicro without battery, you have very good sound quality!

I don't see much difference! $1000$nikon vs Cannon $400$. Nikon extra zoom is useless! Not clear ! I wish you never had that background music so we can test the mic on windy day! I know nikon has bad mic!!!!! Coming soon Cannon sx70 or kodak az1000 Great review!!

@Fd World you have no idea on what you're talking about. The P1000 is leap and bound better then the lowly SX60. This video comparison is compressed into 720p, the P1000 can do 4K and the sx60 can NOT...big difference. Now go learn something.

@@kaox44 But the SX60 can Rec Video with 60Frames, that is a amazing Video Quality in Full HD, half 4K …it is not that difference! This old canon is a very good one, …the extern Mic in is awesome too, the most cams don’t have that.

Can’t look thru the eyepiece in video mode killed it for me. The screen is an option not the only way to use video. The thru the lenses comes first . Peace Christo

Wrong comparison, it should be with P900 not p1000 as there is huge difference in price. And what is the benefit of such a zoom when there is no good quality image, we are not spy

I didn't enough of a difference for the extra money. The extreme zoom on the P1000 seems to be harder to hold steady. I have the SX60 and think I'll hang on to it for awhile.

This video is in 720P The nikon p1000 can do 4k video and has not been shown well enough Yes is can be harder to hold steady at large amount of zoom but that's because of its lens making it heavy

Bee Klemzak I have seen packages for the SX60 that include a 2.2x telephoto lens that you can put on. How do you think that would work? Would like the opinion of someone who has experience with the SX60.

@@montyziebell1077 I use the extra lens, DCR250, I also use a telephoto, and it does make a difference, I use it both on my sx40 and sx60, I also compare it with my P950, and to be honest there is not much difference. In fact, the sx has the better image quality and IS. I also hacked the SX40 and installed an external mic, I converted the internal mic into an external one, it's easily done. The reason I kept both cameras, is because the sx60 doesn't have the feature where you can shoot a video and take pictures at the same time, the SX40 does.

@@montyziebell1077 That is interesting, I have a SX60 to, I buy some filters. And after that I think, mmh is there maybe the option to Put a other zoom lens on that filter mount? Have you a link for that Gadget for the SX60, you talking about?
