i just bought a nikon d5200 and theres one single stuck pixel (shines white) is this nortorious with these or shoud i go back to future shop and exchang it for another?

Interesting points. In my personal experience of using both Nikon and Canon DSLRs is that Nikon images are sharper where as Canon images are warmer and more vibrant. Personally I prefer the sharper image quality of Nikon, and I can always tweak the colour in post.

All 9 are cross-type, it specifically details this on their website "9 cross-type AF points (f/2.8 at centre)". I think you may be confusing it with another model.

Well I have tested the D5200 and it also wasn't great tbh, after about 5-6 shots it did start slowing way down. Granted I was shooting at full res in RAW but need to test the Canon buffer.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but if you are familiar with a Nikon it may be worth sticking with it.

i didnt know this but i just googled 'interlacing' and see your point. i really want an slr with 60fps at 1080p for slow motion video effects, and thought i had found the answer! but now i am back to the start... do you know any cameras that can do this within the same price range as the nikon? thanks

Saf,did you spend more time using the Canon 650D? I live in Thailand and the Nikon are well pricey. Canon are cheaper for some reason. I want a camera that i can use in the future as i get more experienced at taking pictures.what i want is a camera that a beginner can use, but maybe also a expert would consider using too. Really confused about what to buy. Any advice?

I bought this camera and I really enjoyed it. This camera has got nice dynamic range and produce very good pictures. It has got great software with a sleek UI. I found the position of the buttons on the Canon a bit awkward. Nikon all the way. Great review Saf

thanks for making this video, literally has helped me a lot. I whatched till the end and for my perception I think that it's better the nikon 5200 but if you don't have a lot of money or you only want a basic camera it's better the Canon 650 because with the touch screen It's easier 😝

Well, i have a 650D and it doesn't have a built in motor focus. in addition of it does have a wireless connection, you can use an Eye-fi memory card on it and it does the same as th WU-1a except using the phone as a viewfinder.

Watched video till the end and would like to thank You. Checked out a lot of imformation but still cant decide. I'm hesitating between Canon 60d/ Canon 650d/ Nikon D5300 (almost the same as D5200). Had a job where i got a chance to try out Canon 5d mark III. Tried myself a little bit in wedding photography, a little bit in videography. Decided, that im insterested in the last one more. But still looking for a quite budget camera for videography as a primary function, but dont want to sacrifice photography option a lot, cause if i would get an interesting opportunity to try myself in it - i would (especially for the money:)). Looking for a camera i could take with me everywhere. I saw all pros and cons, the main PRO for Nikon D5300 for me is about 1080p/60fps, better image quality and cheap/good quality 35mm lense (not impressioned with Canon slowpock autofocus and touchscreen). But though im a little bit scared of Nikon cause i had no experience with it. So want some help to choose a camera.

No! 650d does not have built in focus motor ,Canon provides motors in all of their EF-S lenses.

I have the nikon d5200 and the photo's are great for the camera price, I love the fact of all the focus points in the camera it does do a lot and the extra pixels are great if you do want to change light and stuff in lightroom and photoshop.

I had an Olympus DSLR a few years ago. I am a little near-sighted or -3.0, without glasses, I can compensate through the view finder. But not the current Nikon D5000. Great inconvenience. I think Canon is like Olympus when I check out the store displays.

You forgot to mention that it has a viewfinder with LCD overlay allowing viewfinder grid viewing. Or the built in introvelometer for time lapse. And the fact that you can manually control volume in video mode....and how you can name you folders what you want as opposed to canon making the names for you permanently.

I believe the Canon 650D is better for us beginner, because of the touch screen which makes navigation on features more easier, the motorized auto-focus is also very helpful, and the price. If you don't mind the price difference and you think you can easily learn all the manual settings by playing on the buttons, you may want to go with Nikon 5200.

If you are really that worried about cosmetic stuff like camera body color or the touchscreen, I really recommend you stick with a compact camera like the Canon Powershot or the Nikon Coolpix.
