Your video was very helpful. I've been researching the D7100 and D610 and so conflicted on which one to buy. Also do you know if there's a difference between the Nikon's made in the USA vs the $400 cheaper ones made in Japan? Some sites say it only has to do with the warranty but then why would the D7100 kits be a few hundred dollars cheaper? Just wanted to see if you had any advice on this. Thank you! Donna

very good your video ... thanks for sharing! need help with configuring video bought a D7100 and was wondering if anyone knows tell if this camera does videos without interruption for example: it records videos without breaking the frame for 20 minutes, but she does not open a new frame and automatically continues recording I have to do it manually?

Thanks for getting back to me on my last question. I set my camera on raw and have shot photos using auto focus; My question today is being that the camera is not a full sensor, can I still correct and enhance colors. I heard because it's not full sensered, it won't work well. Thanks again!

Great video...When going to CUSTOM SETTING MENU it wouldn't let me adjust any of the autofocus settings because "this option is not available at current setting or in cameras current state". Any ideas on how I can fix that?

Thanks for your tutorial. Can you help with a question please? I have recently bought a D7100 and when I take a photo using multiple focus points, the resultant image when reviewed for quality is mostly obscured by the overlaid multiple focus points. I thought those points would only be visible during the process of viewing the subject at the time of taking the photo, and not be visible on the taken image when reviewed on the live view screen. I can honestly say that I did learn a lot about the camera but I need to know the difference between lenses, what 70-300 mm means or 1:4-5.6 and stuff like that. If you could make a video about lenses and how to chose them in different situations it would be great. Thanks

How do I get all the options of the > (playback menu) to come up and be changable...I'm only able to adjust 'playback display options, After delete and rotate tall...I've watched your videos twice now! Thank you!

On my previous Nikon D5300, I could browse images using the wheel, along with the navipad, in the playback view. And this seemed to be practical sometimes However, on my Nikon 7100 this option does not seem to be the default setting. How can I get the camera to use the back wheel for browsing the images?

Hi, thanks for getting right back to me. I have a bit of a problem; as you can imagine, I'm new at using a DSLR camera. I was trying to set my camera for video, but when I went back to taking photos, the auto focus stopped working. No damage to the camera to; I treat it gently. What can I have done with the settings to cause this? Everything is set to AF, e.g. lens, Camera, etc. I just purchased the camera, so I can still return it; I have 90 days. Hope u can help me. Actually I'm totally new to DSLR camera and my starting is D7100, so the best way to start is set to MANUAL and follow your steps? Can? My second question is, is the 4-way button on the camera a bit loose? I mean it's a bit soft so that it can be move easily? I think other Nikon cameras has a fixed position of the 4-way button.

Actually I follow your step but I didn't realize that I set it to the Auto mode instead of U1 / U2. So just click reset on Auto mode then it comes back to normal settings? And actually is your settings is suitable for U1 / U2 settings ? Sorry for the broken english. Hope to hear from you soon thanks mate !

I am going through the D7100 with you and some of my options are not available to change. Camera tells me this option is not available. Is there an upgrade or something I need to add?

Pretty sure you are wrong about the Mup shutter release, you use mirror lock up to clean the sensor. It keeps the mirror up to help you blow the air on the sensor,or wipe it, whatever you are doing. Leaving the mirror up for that's
