Z6 live view, D750 mp, D850 buttons, this camera is best of both world.

Still using the D700 and D750. Other than eye focus, and real-time preview through the the electronic viewfinder, ML still doesn’t do anything my DSLRs don’t. And since the product of great images is more in the lens than the camera, technologically speaking, I see no reason to upgrade. When I do upgrade, Nikon probably won’t make DSLRs anymore and I’ll probably get the D780 at a steal.

Big omission for me is - no in camera image stabilisation. Which is a massive plus for the Z6. Also, the Z mount gives much straighter lines, essential for architectural photography. All in addition to lighter gear, etc

I'm very intrigued, Nikon has made a lot of progress in terms of video. I plan to compare the D780 and Z6 in more detail in the future.

You need to enable the extended shutter speeds in the settings for them to show up.

Hi, I found the shutter rotate really slow in live view mode on D750. Is this still the case on D780?

2nd that and hope the video + lv works or doesn't work with various AF-S & AF-P lenses to see how they cope, e.g., 70-200 F4, 70-200 F2.8 MK 2 & FL.

d780 or d850 which one u would pick for cityscapes portrait and landcapes?Tnx for ur help....i dont do weddings a lot...

If you don't need the video/live view AF I would say go for the D850. The added resolution would help a lot especially for your landscape images. Plus you would get better AF in the viewfinder, better controls, etc.

how is the continuous autofocus on video does f lens sound noisy?

From what I have seen so far it is very heavily dependent on the lens you are using. While AF was fast and not too loud there was definitively audible focusing noise with the AF-S 24-70 f/2.8E I did initial testing with.

I am torn between the D780 and adding more lenses to my Z system. I have plenty of F mount glass and a decent collection of Z glass. I do very little video so the live view functions aren't of much interest to me. I prefer the EVFs over the optical viewfinder. The image quality should be stellar if it has the same sensor as the Z6.

See whether you can wait on D780 - possibly in the summer be about £/$400 knocked off the RRP or use the ££/$$ to pick up some more Z glass like the new 70-200 F2.8 S in Z mount

JS, How well does the SnapBridge WiFi work vs the D750 Bluetooth?

While none of the wireless solutions are perfect the Snapbridge app does allow for more control vs the WMU app on the D750. Snapbridge now allows you to change camera exposure settings which gives the remote shooting far more versatility.
