Hello, sorry for the inconvenience. I have a Nikkon d90 that had a similar problem. They repaired the mirror mechanism. Now it works fine when it is in manual and video, but when it is in full automatic the photos come out dark
Don't buy the D80, it is poorly constructed,with way to many plastic-parts internally. It is simply not worth the cost of repair. Get a D200 instead if you want the CCD-sensor, it is a professional-grade camera construction-wise. Really a shame that Nikon cheaped out that much...
