@@xshikittyShe may be Ballister's sidekick but he treats her more as a friend or younger sister (despite her being far older, she's got the maturity of a 12 year old) so it really worked out in the end for her. The people see the truth, Nimona and Ballister are heroes to them now. That said, Nimona still is a chaos gremlin and I love it.

@@kuroiphox989 yup! it's also important to note that she ALWAYS had the ability to cause chaos, destruction, and perhaps obliterate the entire kingdom with relative ease, but the fact she is "enjoying" chaos here seems mostly be linked to the reason that it's making her closer to Ballister.

1:40 When Nimona shape-shift into her kid form, I am surprised that not only she can change into many different animals and a phoenix. She can also morph herself into different ages like her kid self, teenage self and even an adult self.

***Spoilers*** Think the title described it from the "shapeshifts..." but Nimona is actually always in her shapeshift form, even her "9" year old self and little girl form, the movie essentially just depicts her as a being that has access to whatever form she decides upon.

I think phrasing it as having a "true" form is missing the point. The movie is obviously allegorical, and Nimona is very clearly representative of trans people. She isn't a girl, or a shark, or a void dragon, she's just Nimona.

I think the implication is that she doesn’t have a “real form,” because they’re all her. In the backstory, she only shifts into a little girl because she met a young Gloreth and wanted to befriend her (she previously shifted to various animals depending on which she was with)

It’s never explained what Nimona is, and maybe that’s the point, but I see hints that she’s a real dragon. The preference for fangs and wings, and the fiery breath. Plus dragons are ultra magical.

2 things bad about the movie is that it tells you that asking questions about something is small minded and that Nimona gets offended by being thought of as a monster after destroying things and shapeshifting into a monster

Liked the movie, but I'm getting really tried of this trope where the clearly dangerous character starts wigging out and then gets mad when the person they're yelling at gets nervous... Like no kidding the guy has a hand on his sword, you just turned into a 8 foot hunchback muscled out freak with glowing eyes and a scary voice.
