Ninja Gaiden II Master Ninja is finally complete! I said I would do it.. it took a while. Ninja Gaiden II Boss Fights (Master Ninja): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O97NLPUH5to.html
It's the insanely expensve level 7 upgrade of the previously useless wooden sword. When at low health it glows red and gains some nonsense damage multiplier
Played again after many years. And people think Dark Souls is the hardest game. The first few bosses give you cheap shots and you can get help from spirits. Ninja Gaiden Black gives you nothing but pain and suffering.
Dark souls is hard in the way that you need patience where here is more of a high skill requirement. Dark souls was just alot of peoples first experience with a game focusing on its difficulty
Only zoomers, normies or casual gamers think that Dark Souls is hard. I'd like to see them beat SMT III, that game is crazy hard. By the way, I know many millennials who couldn't make it through SMT III.
Ninja gadien black is the hardest game I ever played. Shit dont make no dam sense. Every boss fight was like life or death. My first time playing it was 2 years ago. I put all my friends on that game, no one beat it. I'm the only one came close Lol I will finish it this year tho. Just beat ninja gadien 2 after 18 years. Lmao I'm 29 now I was 16 when first played 2. Dont judge me Lmao
@@sephangelo4603 Bullshit. Dark souls is ridiculously hard, just ask anyone. Sure, maybe you didn't have too hard of a time because you're great at games, and that's fine, but the entire souls series is hard as hell.
I never knew the wooden sword would get such an upgrade. I was at chapter 17 with all other weapons fully upgraded, and a lot of essence left, so I decided to upgrade the sword and cursed the game for not showing me this erlier
Demon's Souls for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. Demon's Souls was followed by Dark Souls in 2011 try not to talk out of your ass and if you don't beleave me look it up like I did
Kids and noobs nowadays don't know what difficulty means. When noobs who have never touched anything older than 5 or 10 years call some game "most difficult" "best" "classic", it just makes me facepalm
If you were born in the early 90's you witness the difficult but amazingness this game offered. This is by far one of the best action/adventure games ever made.
DarkEndDragon_- This game is demonstrably harder than the soul games because of Rank alone. If you want to get a perfect rank in every chapter of this game. Or even one rank below, good luck.
Honestly, neither game is hard once you get past the learning curve. Having played every Souls games, even new installments aren't that difficult as I'm already aware of how the games work. Ninja Gaiden is pretty much the same. Difficult until you get used to it and understand how to play. I'd say they are both equally difficult in different ways.
I remember getting my ass kicked by pretty much every single boss, but the first Alma, holy shit, that was on another level of suffering. It took me like a month to beat the entire game. Funny thing is that after I finished it, I immediately started another game and completed in that same day, and it felt it so easy. Masterpiece of a game.
@@SixZeus5 I literally started the game over and played to Alma again making sure I had full potions and at least one talisman of rebirth. She was a menace that first time.
There's something magical about watching a version of this game where bosses don't just auto block 90% of your attacks and counter before you can block/evade. I love NGB so much.
Yeah.. Sigma 2 bosses actually seem fine. They actually feels a bit too easy now, they at least had some punishable attacks before they sometimes refused to use them. The Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 bosses and enemies are pretty broken though. I had some fights where things like Alma and Gamov are just completely impossible to hit. A real shame they included inferior versions in the collections.
Adrian Arshad I guess because dark souls looked more pretty the characters were pretty good, it gave you the chance to kill them and you can do stuff your way, for example you can kill bosses by using bombs swords spells or bows
@Win From Within agreed, Alma doesnt have a combo. She will hit you and you have no idea what she is gonna do next, she might do the same thing or start throwing the columns at you. It is literally impossible to predict her next move you just gotta be fast and be prepared
What i loved about this game is that the first time you play it feels soo hard even in normal then, you notice there are a lot of other difficulties, and when you scale and then return to an easier difficulty it feels soo easy and getting your revenge on those enemies that annoyed the shit out of you is sooo soo satisfying
43:42 This was one of the best fights. I am a sucker for amazing Boss Soundtracks. But just the cricket chirps as background noise while two Ninja's just go at it with some of the coolest sound effects being used, damn. SOMETIMES, no BGM is an amazing thing.
Remember the Samurai Jack episode where Jack fought a dark ninja. Jack using light to camouflage and the ninja using shadows and darkness. That was a great fight.
1:04:57 I've always liked this little part because it's like "yeah, after everything he's been through you can be certain Ryu's had enough of this shit."
That slow mo shot towards the end of Ryu smashing the Dark Dragon Blade into pieces was so fucking bad ass. God I hope Xbox puts out another Ninja Gaiden for the Series X.
"Someday you will come to understand the pursuit of power. Perhaps beginning with your training here." This quote resonated through my head as I played 2 and Razor's edge. I never like looking at my old game play, but sometimes returning to the basics can teach you more than any degree, even in something as simple as a video game.
I bought it when it came out. I was 14 and damn, it gave me an unforgettable run for my money. It defined my teenage years so much that my father kept my copy intact in his belongings. I'll pass it on to my child one day.
The Vigoorian Emperor was one of the crazier boss fights in this Ninja Gaiden game just because of what you had to do against him, plus his having a second form made things even more nuts! Murai corrupted by the Dark Dragon Blade is also insane too! Overall, a fun game, with some crazy bosses!
Ninja Gaiden was and still remains one of the greatest action games of all time. Grossly underrated for this generation though. It also has some of the most riveting soundtracks and hardest bosses in videogame history. For 2004, it was ahead of its time and even 18 years after, it matured handsomely. Still holds a candle in the action genre of gaming. Everyone has bowed down to Alma more than once. This game is one of those who defined my teenage years.
@@uafc1 Souls is hard because the combat can be clunky. Ninja Gaiden is hard because the combat is pitch perfect but the difficulty and enemy AI will murder you in the first level.
Spider Alma is the only reason I never completed Master Ninja Mode. She is broken and if you manage to defeat her the next checkpoint is far beyond. Any error and you must start the boss battle again.
omar yorke hope I’m early even tho it’s been 7 months. U can go back to magma cavern and save there , it’s faster and life relief to save after her damn fight. I promise u will thank me for this.
She's actually pretty simple. What you do is you equip celerity and charge ETs to kill her minions (her attacks have huge charge times) Then, you dodge her attacks until she gets onto the ground. You charge a UT, release it when she runs at you. She will block it. Then you do a charge Y attack, which will always hit. Then Flying Swallow. Then she'll be stunned for a Gleaming Blade. Almost guaranteed to hit. TDS btw
Did the Alma Awakened boss foght make no sense to anyone else? Not the difficulty so much (although she was a lot harder than even the later bosses), but the fact that some of your attacks were blocked and some weren't seemingly at random? Like she didn't have a blocking animation or anything but a lot of attacks just simply made that clinging noise and there was no damage done.
One of my favorite games of all time and my favorite character in video games, Ryu Hayabusa. Also Rachel became my favorite female video game character ever since she debuted back in Ninja Gaiden. I finished master ninja 11 times. Thanks for the memories of this masterpiece of a game.
46:00 - 47:40 one of the best boss intros ever. Got me so fired up to fight. Both Alma battles were epic fights that really made you earn your victory. This game is still my favorite ever. I wish they still made them like this. I hope Nioh 2 and Sekiro will be similarly good...I hope.
It took me a very long time to figure out the bosses attack patterns but when I did if was a breeze. But for the first time I remember my controller traveling at warp speed in the air and connecting with the walls in my room. Iv never played a game that demand so much skill and patience in a battle all at once. My fingers got super fast dealing with this damn game back in the days omg.
I remember using all my potions right before the final boss battle and having only 15% hp left I somehow managed to beat the last boss without getting hit once.
It’s crazy to think that the higher difficulties add new bosses, aside from just new normal enemies too. Usually games just opt for stat increases or higher aggression (which in fairness the original 2004 release did) but with NGB they really went all out on making the higher difficulties more interesting and challenging.
I played dark souls (1 and 2) and ninja gaiden in master ninja (1 and 2), both games is so so hard and amazing, and are the correct games to break out your joystick and goes crazy jaajaja
The awakening is one of the most Iconic pieces of animation in history. The first time i watched that I just thought ... shiitttt .... this game just got next level.
Nostalgia. Talk about this game being the hardest, for the whole week struggling where am i supposed to go, i almost lost interest in the game and then wandering here there somehow it jumped off the wall and boy...did it unlock the entire world of entertainment. Fun, pain, suffering and great storlyline...it was my all times fav game with so many stages to conquer. WoW...grrst memories.
I played this game and I can safely say. This game would eat Souls players alive. Edit: Thanks for the likes and comments dude. Fuck Alma, fighting Alma is like fighting an invisible slapper who sometimes mixes it up with a kick to the balls.
Would you believe me if I said I beat this game around the same time I beat dark souls (age 13) I disagree If theres one thing souls players have its MOTHERFUCKERING PRESERVERANCE (Master ninja did kick my ass too many times tho)
George Washington Entertainment Lmao yes sir. I beat this back in high school 2004, so glad it made its way back to current consoles. They NEED to make a next gen version
@George Washington Entertainment All the best! Took me about 7 solid months to finish the entire game! (i know i kinda sucked and took me so long to finish) But the experience is worth it, I tell you!
@George Washington Entertainment wow nice Alma is broken af I remember myself getting killed at first combo. Also use kitetsu its fun to use. Kind of ..
I personaly think the hardest challenge in this game is not story in master ninja mode. It's the missions (like bloody palace) in which you have to fight 3 bosses at the same time
First - thanks for this delicious video! Second - if there will be a Ninja Gaiden 4, they should let Rachel shine again and bring back those CGI movies.
My favorite game growing up, the bosses and sword ere so amazing and this game was ahead of it's time. Amazing, the graphics were so much better then anything at the time too.
The dragon sword has the most combo's. It does not do the most damage. Its a balanced medium weapon were its only benfits are its range and crowd control
@Path Finder Neither did i with my first playthrought. Not just crowd control, but insane damage to bosses, plus hyper armor. Its what you wanna do to alma, Doku spirit doku, Fiend Murai. Crab fiends. Most things. Check out joe0button's boss guide vids or just gameplay to see how effective it is
I remember crying like a little bitch when I couldn't defeat Alma on her first appearance.... But then again I was a dumb 12 year old back then. Ninja Gaiden was the first game that gave me an ass whooping! It's still one of my favorites
This is one of my biggest accomplishments back in the day of beating very hard difficulty. Intried to beat master ninja back then but i couldnt do it. Though i beat all the ninja gaiden black challenges on normal. The last mission was hella freaking hard.
Gamov’s death becomes more pathetic when you realize that this guy was the younger brother of a guy on Ryu’s level and failed to predict the world’s most obvious betrayal.
Haha Chapter 1 and 2 are actually pretty tough. I died quite a few times on every difficulty at the start. Once you get past Chapter 3 you start getting a lot more options and it's more of an open map so you can just run around practicing against respawning enemies.
Yo who still Remembers having to fight the Resetsu in ninja gaiden 2 in chapter 11 before upgrading ur health fully and the aggravation it took to get passed having to fight countless amounts of them along with those ninjas that throw the bomb shurikens in master ninja level could u imagine how many times we had to jump across the Screen To Avoid Getting Hit With Those Stupid Bombs
God damn, as if this game wasn't hard enough. I got this when it came out on the original Xbox and managed to beat it, but all the additions on this version especially the first Alma encounter, fuck. I'm impressed with your skills.
