Going to a Job Interview "So what did you do before?" "I beat Ninja Gaiden." "Anyone can beat it with enough skill and unlimi-" "Without dying." _"Welcome aboard."_
"Before you leap you must look. I LOOKED I LOOKED. Before you LOOK YOU MUST THINK ! (Looking back at the ninja) Before you THINK YOU MUST FEEL ! Auuuugh ! Before you feel you must.. I had enough. (Quits)
I remember story there was someone who uses Game-Genie so he wont get a time-over death on 4-2 just to enjoy the music in infinite loop. What a luxurious jukebox. Nowdays, i would simply get the .nsf files from Zophar Domain site, and uses the corresponding music player to play it in infinite loop.
I beat this game once, never picked it up again because it was difficult enough to drive people insane with anger and frustration. You don't finish ninja gaiden -Ninja gaiden finishes you!
I once beat Ninja Gaiden 1,2, and 3 in succession with no deaths. Unfortunately, this was well before the days of RU-vid. I'm probably too old and slow to do it now.
+Leo Susunkewa Contra's easy compared to Ninja Gaiden, IMO. At least Contra gives you a code, and when you die, you respawn right where you left off. Ninja Gaiden could give you 100 lives, and it wouldn't make the game any easier.
These games, though limited in the possible architecture of their time, had soul developed within them. Other than game leading titles like God of War, some Final Fantasy games, and such of the like, has there really been something unique and interesting brought to today's table in the last 5 years? Nope. Another Call of Duty remake? WOW! So original. Please release Ninja Gaiden 4, some day....
These composers were so good at capturing the perfect feeling in their music, and they did it with the limited number of NES sounds as well. Fantastic.
Contra is actually pretty easy, enemies are rather predictable. As for Battletoads and Ghost & Goblins however... Totally agree. I beat all 3 Ninja Gaiden games on NES, but never could beat more than 75% of those two others. Someday, maybe, someday...
I've beaten Ghosts and Goblins and it's not worth it my friend. The final level is designed to troll you and is frustrating as hell. Requires a near perfect run. Then, the game has the audacity to tell you to do the whole game over again.
I played this as a kid many times, I devoted an entire weekend to it never shutting the game off and managed to beat it and I still consider it one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. I repeated stage 6 so many times I still have muscle memory of it
Awesome! For me it was Zelda 2s final palace, the Great Palace. Dang, that thing was huuuge .. and dangerous af! Not to speak of even reaching it through that deathly cave system with all those red, axe-throwing lizard men. Yikes. And the original Shadow Link ... smh.
@@dennisweiss6621 I absolutely loved Zelda 2! I liked that Castle-vania style going on with it, if remade today, things could be really cool. The final palace theme smacks!
Song title litterally sums up the game in general, without determination you wouldn't be able to finish it. Not the type of game where you can just mash buttons and hope to just past the stage. Getting good on it's mechanics, learn enemy's pattern, and willingly to start over with new strategy. It might frustrating but I miss when game isn't just about finishing storyline, but testing your skill and reflect.
This Theme was so awesome and catchy it was remade a million times. 😂 And it's no surprise that this Stage Theme was considered now as Ryu Hayabusa's own Theme because his *"Determination is Unbreakable"* which actually fits him well when you think about it. 😉
This song is so underrated. This is like 1 of the best technos ive ever heard since that ninja gaiden game. I cant even remember how many years have passed.
well. indeed,,,, there are a lot of good soundtrack on the NES.. every megaman song, FF1, Castlvania, Contra.... i miss that a lot in these days games...
@@ericchampagne4771 Megaman 6 was okay at best, forgettable at worst. Only tunes that stood out to me were Centaurman's stage and the intro to title screen (especially considering that the Megaman 6 version is a slightly different arrangement of the Rockman 6 version...kinda like the US & Japanese versions of the intro theme from Zelda 2.)
@Conkergox 98 That's not true. Master System SN76489: 3 square waves, 1 noise generator. NES sound chip: 2 pulse waves (Can be made square), 1 triangle wave, 1 noise generator, 1 sample channel. Also AFAIK the NES sound chip can play lower octaves than the Master System one.
It took me 3 yrs when I was a kid to finish this hard ass game. On weekends, after school, holidays or any other free time I got. How's that for unbreakable determination.
Its a life goal of mine to beat every Ninja Gaiden game, and on their most difficult settings. I've done NG Black and NG2 for Xbox. About to head to this classic...
Casian Lionheart Holy fuck. I never realized just how fucked up I am for be confused with your comment. When I read your comment, I read "getting his fingers caught in a fan" as well, one of his viewers... ;^}
Having finally conquered this game a few days ago and having listened to the songs many times... I can definitely say this song is absolutely amazing. It gives you that drive to just kick it in the ass.
I downloaded this game around 2010 on the wii shop channel. I beat it after much hardship. This game taught me about never giving up. If you keep banging your head against a wall, that wall will eventually crack
Ninja Gaiden really hits the spot when it comes to hard but not frustrating. I could play this game for hours, and get nowhere, but I’d still have loads of fun.
Here's some more good ones! Blaster Master Journey To Sillius Gradius Bionic Commando Lifeforce Ducktales Contra Mega Man 2 Mega Man 3 Gun Nac Bubble Bobble Battletoads Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 Ninja Gaiden 2 Castlevania Burai Fighter Shatterhand Dragon Warrior 3 Bucky O Hare Snake Rattle n Roll Marble Madness I could go on and on and on!!!
Cool I don't know what the heck happened to my original nes. Finally tried out a nes clone from a company called gamerztek. Its top loading and seems to work better than my original console. Its nice being able to play nes games on a physical console and finish them without the console resetting or cutting off.
I have this game, the original box Nintendo right alongside an original box tv, I truly think it’s the best way to play most classic games like this, it rly is something else
Yeah, it still sounds great even at half speed. I think its because the music is so fast paced that it doesn't leave lulls in the beat from being too slow.
I love the quality and length. This is longer, so you don't need to keep going to YT to replay the video, or right-click and put "Loop". This is overall a great OST, and I would like to thank you for making/uploading this.
You know you love NES when you listen to this song while doing chores, have the 1 up sound as your text tone, and have the dr. Wily castle theme as your ringtone.
Im training in smash melee with this song on in order to defeat my teacher. For last time we sparred i fell in defeat. I WILL NOT LOSE TO HIM FOR I SHALL PROVE MY WORTH TO HIM. I will have an Unbreakable Determination.
I'm playing this game on the Switch with the NES classic service and even with quick save and instant time reversal it's hard as heck. Those poor kids who had to play it on a real NES.
My style of games are games with, action, platforming, awesome music, reflexes, awesome music, fast pacing, and a great touch of awesome music to make an amazing game
Im going through ninja gaiden 2 (xbox 360) on master ninja and the only thing thats bringing me the determination to finish it is this song!!! Awesome and full of thrill
To be fair it works well with certain games, it really depends how and when you use it. One track in the JJBA's anime was dubstep and it fitted the moment and atmosphere perfectly.
Francis Farterburger A lot of JJBA's soundtrack was excellent. They put a lot of thought into it, and that song really worked for the character, much to my surprise.
Though you and I have not lived the same life, I am glad to know there is another Ryu who will not let anything stop him from achieving his ultimate goal.
Unbreakable Determination is my all-time favorite NES soundtrack. I own the Ninja Gaiden CD soundtrack with this on it. I also own all the classic Ninja Gaiden games. It's the kind of music that makes you really rev up! Haha. Thank you so much for uploading this extended version. Love it!
My favorites are also Mighty Final Fight - Riverside (check it, if you haven't heard, it's really great!), Chip and Dale - Zone J, Chip and Dale 2 - Cutscene 8, Kunio-Kun no Nekketsu Soccer League - Staff Roll and Title NFC Theme. That's first few I could remember!
I remember being in my teens playing this game after school for a day then getting so mad at it I would rather do my homework than play it. haha I finally got through it, and part 2 after memorizing all enemy locations, jumps, etc. Gaming sure has changed.
