No, actually. I always preferred using Masamune, Mitsunari and Mitsuhide. In 3 Ultimate, Xu Shu/Sterkenberg in replace for Mitsuhide. Though, the current file I'm playing now, I considered it.

Ryu Hayabusa MUST be a DLC in Super Smash bros Ultimate. the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the NES is a classic, like the Castlevania trilogy. As a character, he is so iconic, being the protagonist AND a playable character in Dead or Alive. IMO, he is the last iconic hero from the NES era who isn't in the game. And this music must play in his reveal trailer

Considering that Hayabusa is the last OG NES rep NOT in Ultimate and how Koei Tecmo has supported Nintendo for ages, (DOA: Dimensions on 3DS, same for Ninja Gaiden 1,2 & 3 on 3DS, and the Samus and Ridley cameos in Dimensions, and the spirit events for Ultimate and the fact that they developed all of the Hyrule Warriors games,) I feel like he's one of the three remaining slots, especially since apparently, the talks between Nintendo and Koei haven't fallen apart from what we heard.
If Hayabusa is a dlc character in ultimate, this NEEDS to be the song he comes out to. I can already picture it in my head: Setting: Sky City Tokyo Scenario: Incineroar, Wario and Bowser are all beating up the other ninja characters in the game in Greninja and Shiek. You see a silhouette standing atop a building with its arms folded and a scarf blows in the wind. The 3 bad guys are all posing and mocking the fallen ninjas. Just then, 4 ninja stars rain down, narrowly missing them, then the figure jumps down and says "such selfish arrogance...I cannot allow this!" then the silhouette lifts and this theme starts up with the tagline: Hayabusa makes the cut!
And allow me to continue with my dream echo fighter for him: During the fight, Zero Suit Samus and Bayonetta jump in to support the three heavyweights, with Bayo shooting at him to throw him off as Samus runs in for melee attacks. Slowly but surely, he starts to be overwhelmed, until, as Samus prepares another kick... Two hands catch her leg, and Samus gets kicked instead by an unidentified character wearing white leggings. Being sent flying back, the bounty hunter slides across the ground and looks up at the offscreen attacker. Hayabusa is also seen crossing his arms, as the scene shows a woman with brown hair tied in a ponytail wearing a blue gi embroided with a golden Japanese symbol on the back. "It seems I have no choice but to fight..." As she says this, the camera pans up to her face as she brings her hand up to her chest. *Kasumi feels alive!* (Because I have gotten questioned about this idea before, here are some reasons for wanting this/thinking this would be a good idea: -It'd be the best way to represent the two series' that Hayabusa plays a major role in. -Even though she'd still be an echo, she has potential to have some unique moves (similar to how Chrom has Ike up-b) such as a hold as her down-b or Oboro-Gake (her running throw) as side-b -We still don't have a 3D Fighter rep playable in Smash And since this fact isn't widely known, before you say "echoes must be from the same series," both Ninja Gaiden and DOA are in the exact same universe, just at different parts of the timeline, so I think it'd still work. Edit:Because of the recent "Smash is for good boys and girls" stuff, they'd probably have to go with either her DOA6 default or her Ninja Gaiden 3 armor
I've never played Ninja Gaiden, but Ryu is still a pleasure to play as. Knowing he's a crossover character thrown into the universe by Orochi's dimension bending just makes it better.
In ninja gaiden 3: Ancient Ship of Doom, one of your allies reveals himself as the mastermind behind a plan to bring a powerful warship from another dimension, bringing with it energy that would be used to rebuild the world according to his view.
Even though I knew he was in the game, Ryu's entrance cutscene and this song made me lose my mind with hype. Couldn't wait to play as him. Unbreakable determination indeed. 🙂

I searched it and listened that osr for weeks. Then youtube recommended me this video. Now i am here.
This is actually a remix ofstage 4-2 and 1 or 2 others in the original NES Ninja Gaiden called "Unbreakable Determination." By far the best track from the series
At first I was rather hesitant of Ryu being in this game, but after watching gameplay of him and listening to this, I'm pretty convinced. Great job to the Koei composers for making this theme even better.
Ryu Hayabusa is number 1. he fought thousands of enemies. not to mention in NG3 he still fought even though he had the Grip Of Murder. yeah hes a badass
Somewhere, in another timeline, in another universe the battletoads, crash bandicoot, Spyro, Dr eggman, Waluigi, and Ryu hyabusa are added to smash and best of all ryu hyabusa has this as his main theme song in smash bros ultimate
I'm starting to think I buy games from the Warriors series for the music JUST as much as the gameplay. Very well done remixes here, this being one of the top of my list.
This is amazing. You have no idea how satisfying it feels to not have played the recent Ninja Gaiden games, but to listen to this song, and immediately recognize this theme.
I voted for his inclusion on the Smash Bros Character Ballot recently. A Nintendo representative did say it was fine to suggest a third-party character based on recent articles I've read. The ballot will ask for a voter's reason for choosing their character;therefore, my reasoning included the following: He would serve as Koei Tecmo's representative Has been an extremely popular character, especially among similar ninja type characters. Like Mario, Hayabusa is an iconic video game character. I'm well aware that it won't guarantee anything, but I think it's worth a shot. If any Ryu Hayabusa fan is interested, they could go to the ballot at the Smash Bros site.

Venecity Kalissto I am a huge fan of Smash and MG myself and to say that in general is a pretty bad statement. Ike, Link, Ganon for crying out oud Mac himself are all serious characters because I have actually played all these franchises in one way or another.

I always play this! That intro gets me amped up. Currently playing warriors orochi 4. Not as good as 3 so far. Damn shame. But it's got this song and that does help make the game better 🤣

NEO Nate Point was made that Hiryu is not his name. Strider isn't his name either, but he is a Strider so he can rightfully be referred to as one. Any Strider can be called 'Strider' by outsiders.

What the hell does Strider have to do with Ryu and Warriors Orochi? Strider fans coming here to just say Strider is better are mad the only recent Strider game is a forgettable remake for Xbox Arcade, while Ryu has been with sexy babes like Ayane, Rachel, Momiji, and Kasumi in his 3D hack n slash Ninja Gaiden Trilogy and Dead or Alive games, and guest appearing in Warriors Orochi and Musou Stars.
Welp, that was all folks, Ryu didn't join Smash. I just hope they add his spirit in some event, for him to have some sort of representation in that game.
