If it’s of help to anyone, I’ve just measured mine. Width including handles 60cm -front to back closed 50cm. - front to back open 58cm. - bottom to top closed 40cm. - Bottom to top open 55cm. Hope that’s helpful
When I have gone to large BBQ, the food is usually done IN aluminum trays, and they're working on the next batch. Also, there is a rack you get more than two slabs. I have the larger one that fits two slabs if ribs.
Picked up one for $200. It works. Just learn to dial in the settings to your likings. I’m going to try cheaper pellets which some channels have compared and recommended.
Just bought one from Donaghy Bros based in NI. Free delivery to Anywhere in the U.K. £271.12. Ordered it 2 hours ago 3rd Aug 2023 and just received an email that it’s been dispatched. I’ve bought before from this company and their very very good. I paid with PayPal and got 4 months interest free credit.
@@WanderFeetChronicles It is real and not an advertisement, and I’ve the receipt to prove it. Just go on line to see for yourself, but then what would I expect from a Scouser.
Just saw this review, I have to say, your analysis of whether one should buy it was very good, used your own experience etc. great to see on a YT video.
Hi Andy. Great stuff! Quick question: Do you think you can use this inside (when not using the smoking function)? I'd love to bring this inside for winter and use it as an indoor grill/air fryer.
There’s no reason not too so long as you don’t use the smoker although even that wouldn’t matter if under a kitchen extractor. As it’s all electric, no gas it’s just brilliant and safe. Bought mine from Donaghy Bros in NI. Great company and their price is £271.12 delivered anywhere in U.K.
You mentioned that you've had this unit for a long time.. Do you cover it and leave it outside during winter? Or store it inside?. I'm rather worried as the humid weather can spoil it. Grateful for your response
I'm considering getting this, it seems like to be the only electric grill that will give you a true BBQ taste thanks to the smoker function. Is that a fair assessment? I'm worried to get disappointed as it's awfully expensive here in my country. When opening the lid, is there a catch for the dripping? Or does it drip onto the table?
Used mine for the second time yesterday. Didn’t burn hardly any of the pellets and food wasn’t very smoky. Filled them to top. Maybe they had got damp? I’m sure the fan wasn’t as loud this time . Is there a way to tell if fan is working ?
@@BackpackingUK hi Andy I agree I’ve used this for the past few days doing different foods , I paid £290 for it which was a bargain as my son used his student discount , thanks again for a great video 😊😊
I do like the idea, especially with the other functions it has, but for me it takes the fun out of a BBQ. Especially at how expensive they are if you already have a BBQ setup. Doesn't take much to light some coals really, and an extra 20/30mins? Not the end of the world against a £350 machine that takes power... Better things to spend/save my money for.
Thats my gripe too mate - i do like the idea of it - but then its the ballache of having to take a power supply everywhere too, that anker power supply hes got it rigged upto isnt exactly small and portable is it when your lugging that AND the ninja about.
In my experience, anything you cook on a Ninja will always be the best version you've tasted. Barbecuing is so hit and miss, and honestly pretty stressful. I'm not proud, this would suit me down to the ground!
Can this he used in the rain? The specs and other reviews say it can be kept outdoors in the rain but want to check if anyone has actually run one when. Its been raining.
Wondering about dimensions when the lid is open. Have considered buying one plus a stainless cabinet for it to sit on, but concerned about how much the measurement is from front feet to the back if the lid is completely open. Want to snug it up to an exterior wall, but also wan to get a cabinet deep enough to handle it. Any idea? thanks.
@@BackpackingUK Not on their specs or website anywhere, that's why I asked. Another RU-vid video contributor answered my question, measured with lid open. Thanks for your response.
@@thymewithfriends hi just measured mine. Width including handles 60cm -front to back closed 50cm. - front to back open 58cm. - bottom to top closed 40cm. - Bottom to top open 55cm. Hope that’s helpful
@@BackpackingUK I am tempted to buy it, as I can't imagine it smoking too much unless you really ramp the temp up with a fatty item like a steak or pork chop. Ahh decisions decisions! Thanks bud, really enjoy your videos.
thank you , eeeeee ive just bought one from ninja..... i got the stand and cover ., they have dropped in price . thanks for your recommendation cheers stu
Hi. Thanks for posting the video. I have a question. Can you slow cook on these? Say for example I wanted to do a pulled pork (whilst smoking) could this be done say over like a few hour period whilst topping up the pellets? Hope this makes sense. Cheers
Andy, great review and thank you, certainly worth a thought. As an alternative for family camps did you give any thought to using a Traeger Ranger (North of £500 however) see Riverside BBQ centre is a great place to buy it too, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, also the Weber Go-anywhere is a great little portable too, Cheers.
I was looking at the gas Go Anywhere’s to take to parks, the beach, holidays, etc. Sometimes you just want quick and easy hence why I was looking at them. Might still get one, we bbq a fair bit.
@BackpackingUK I brim mine and it still only burns a few at the top. Might be storage issues where I store them in my shed, they might be a little bit damp 🫤
@@BackpackingUK trust me I did that, I even watched a video on RU-vid which was very simple &it still didn’t work. The smoker sign shows but the wood chips never burnt. It’s also full.
I was going to buy one for the caravan... but I'm glad I saw this review as I don't want it cooking fast ... so I won't be buying one ... I love ninja but I don't think this is for me ... thanks for saving me £300 charcoal all the way
Just made the purchase - they are chucking in a free stand and cover at the minute on the website - and you get 10% off first purchase - brilliant video bud which sold it to us 🤙🏻 just got the bbq stand and cover with 10% off for £251 - £499 if purchased separately
If you only have a balcony then a regular BBQ with an open flame would likely be prohibited. Electric grills would be fine though, so maybe this is a good option to get that smokey BBQ flavour.
This appears to be some other cooking gimmick that makes no difference at all, just like the Ooni. Unnecessary, but flashy looking paired with marketing for sales. No one will be talking about this next year.
When a large gathering i precook all on bbq, then when it’s time pop all back in the basket to reheat, works a treat. We use do do this a the kids school bazar when we ran a bbq, all be it that the food was precooked in the oven at home. Had too or land up poisoning the parents. 😂 some might think that wasn’t a bad idea. 🙄🙄🙄

Garbage. Buy a PK 300AF. It will blow the Ninja away. It’s an expensive gimmick like Their other products that claim to be economical. Reality is is they cost a fortune in electricity.
