After 8 years this trailer is still the best way to describe Majora's Mask. It's crazy how well achieves to capture the game's mood.

Bruh. I remember watching this trailer the day it came out and I STILL get goosebumps watching it again even though I already have it. It's just THAT GOOD.

Watching this trailer again, I really love how they perfectly captured and rendered the weird, dark and disturbing atmosphere of the game in a 2min video. This is a pretty unusual way to make a trailer, but we're talking about such an unusual, mysterious yet awesome Zelda game and this trailer completely does justice to it.

This trailer is very surreal. A bunch of out of context images played alongside the odd music, and all of those foreboding shots of the Moon. (It's also coincidence that I started looking back on NintendoCaprisun's LP of this game a few days before.)

I think the original moon is slightly more creepier than the new one because the old one seemed to be staring into nothing while the new one looks like it just WANTS to die lol

I bought a 3DS just to play the zelda games :)

The moon got a nose job

This trailer was my introduction into the legend of zelda series, and will always hold a special place in my heart

First we get Hoenn remakes and now a MM remake. Seems like Nintendo really does listen to their fans from time to time. Although there will still be complainers of those who wished for a Wii U remake. What they don't know is that the 3DS didn't get many games this year due to how many Wii U games we're getting we around this year's E3. I mean, the 3DS needs some love too.

3ds purchase: justified

Nintendo should make a Legend of Zelda Collection (Ocarina and Majora) for the Wii U like what Microsoft did with the Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One.

Zelda's darkest title remastered.., yes!! Can't wait to pick this up.

Majora's Mask is one of the strangest and most bizarre games I have ever played. Definitely a stand out in the Zelda franchise. The music is excellent. It sets the eccentric, mysterious and Twilight Zone-ish atmosphere of the game.

People, stop complaining that you want it on the Wii U, it was OBVIOUS it was going to be for the 3DS, and that's what everyone's been begging for. You got what you wanted, and continue complaining. It is apparently LITERALLY impossible to satisfy everyone.

You know what would be scary? If Nintendo references the Ben Drowned creepypasta in this game... think about it, Nintendo references memes in social media posts, in their games and sometimes during Directs/trailers.

Hard to imagine how this was 2015...

Playing this as a child, on my Grandmother's N64.... A few years back, my little sister got a 3DS. I'm disappointed to say, she didn't want this great game.

Nintendo re-used the game engine from Ocarina of Time to make Majora's Mask back in the N64 days so it only makes sense for Nintendo to release Majora's Mask to the 3DS/2DS since Ocarina of Time is also on the 3DS (assuming the same technique was used on these remakes).

Stop bitching about how it's not on Wii U. 3DS is the best possible choice Nintendo could have made because the portable aspect draws in a lot of people, including me. And to the people assaulting Nintendo for just selling out their old games- some people (such as myself) never had a Nintendo 64 and was extremely happy about this remake and Ocarina of Time.

One of my favorite games I 100% this game on the 3ds I'm going to do it again on the Wii VC.

This is one of the better Nintendo trailers I've seen and this alone actually made me buy the game. I don't regret doing so at all and this has since become my favorite Zelda game just because of how unique and weird it is.

The Elegy of Emptiness got a sick tan 1:16

Now we just need to add an "Real time mode", where you only get 3 actual days to save Termina. No warp backs, and time will continue even if you save and quit.

I see a lot of people saying "the graphics don't look too different" besides the fact that they have months before finishing so this is still in development, if you actually compared this footage to the same things on an emulator, you'd notice how much better the textures are. Don't have to compare it to the rom on an emulator, but you'd have a much easier time seeing the differences. Some of the character models were obviously ported from OoT3D (just like the original ported OoT models) and some of the OoT3D characters were just rounder but still looked about the same texture-wise, so some of these characters will look very similar to their N64 counter-parts except rounder. I'm pretty sure the main focus with updating the graphics here is to keep it in the same style as OoT3D since the original was in the same style as OoT, so just compare OoT3D to OoT, and we should expect the same amount of differences visually with this remake. Personally I would've loved this to be on the Wii U, but I'm all down for this on the 3ds if they change the Owl Statues to be actual saves, or change it so you can save whenever because the current saving mechanic is not ideal for the 3ds, especially if you only get to play for like 10 minutes at a time.

1:17 - 1:26 Favorite part. All the randomness in this trailer shows how crazy this game truly is. Postman fallen into despair, A crazy salesman shaking the crap out of a child, and a moon crashing into Termina and Link being engulfed by its force.

So many 12-year-olds shoving that terrible creepypasta in a game that has no relations to it. No kiddies, the statue is not Ben, it's actually a part of the game called the Elegy of Emptiness. Look up the game's information before you bring that shitpasta here.

I'm actually mid way thru the game. My first playthru. I thought I wouldn't like it because of the lack of Zelda, Ganon, tri force, master sword etc... BUT this is rlly fun. It feels exactly like a Zelda game should.

The statue isn’t some kid named Ben. The creator literally said it was fake. It’s the elegy of emptiness.

*sigh* I'm getting REAL tired of all you guys saying, "OMG they put BEN in the remake!" You guys clearly know nothing about this game or the CreepyPasta even. BEN is made up and is a supposed "spirit" who haunts the game via the Elegy of Emptiness Statue (The statue that you guys see in the video.) This statue has been in the game since the original Majora's Mask was released guys. It was not created for a CreepyPasta, but was merely used in one.

It's a shame how so many people were begging for this game to happen, and now that it is happening 80 percent of these comments are premature nitpicking about graphics...

I come back to this trailer since the game has been released, and I made the horrible mistake to read every. single. comment in here. So many Creepypastas... So much ignorance....

I replayed this for this 3ds and kids today will never realise the struggle of the first cycle of trying to get all the stuff done (finding the kid's during hide and seek and getting the bombers code and moon tear) before the cycle ends and having the start the game from the beginning if you run out of time. Luckily they let you save on the first cycle on the 3ds so you don't have to be paranoid about time if you run out of it.

I don't know how you did it Nintendo but you made the moon scarier.

And with that, every Zelda fan creamed their pants simultaneously

I remember seeing the trailer for this and I thought it was so cool. It just seemed like a wacky dark but humorous adventure all at the same time. So I got the game and I liked it a lot. It is definitely one of my favorite Zelda games of all time. Seeing this trailer again is like a big nostalgia trip for me.

Majora's Mask is such an amazing game. As a kid it seems like a happy game (besides the moon) with the happy carnival music and the happy sidequests. But when you realize what the game is actually about, it's definitely not a happy game. It's a very dark game. And I love it! Can't wait! My N64 died so I can't play this but I am glad it's coming out for the 3ds.

This literally brings a tear to my eye whenever I watch it. This is one of my favorite games of all time, and seeing its bizarre nature revived for future generations makes me so happy.

I've never played Majora's Mask in my life and so it's always been a game that I wished would make it to the DS or 3DS and so this is marvelous news for people like me. I certainly hope that the graphics will be sharpened and look even better on the 3DS did then they do in the above announcement trailer. BTW, that wicked Moon is epic!

I hope they finally get to include "Lord Jabu Jabu fishing" into the game, like they were meant to, years ago. It would be hilarious to watch that deity screw with reality i.e. stopping the moon/freezing time, or having money randomly rain from the sky.

This trailer couldn't have been done any better this flawlessly sums up this game. It's unlike any other..

Now...if Skull Kid could be DLC for Smash or Warriors, everything would be set to make the train run off tracks and smash straight through canyons from all the hype.

playing majora's mask was amazing on the nintendo 64, the gamecube, and the wii and now it's on the 3ds, even better! cause now we all get to play a really great game without the struggle of wires or a memory card, we can all play anywhere we go and any time we want. this is so exciting!
