Ridley is in the game, remember what Sakurai did when we said to much fire emblem characters, here, take Corrin, what did he did when we said Ridley is too big, here have Ridley. Nobody tells Sakurai what to do, except Nintendo... that's why we got 4 sequels.

Going by your logic, it's safe to say that even though Waluigi appeared as an assist trophy in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate E3 reveal, Sakurai might change his mind and make him a playable fighter, and remove him from assist trophy status!

Yo Luke, do me and every other smash bros fan a favour. Don’t spoil one of the biggest parts of the direct with the thumbnail for your video. I went to watch the direct, excited to see all the announcements, only to have your video come up on my home page with Ridley on the thumbnail. Completely spoiled that. :/

6PathsGoku there's a difference between getting to sit down and watch the Nintendo presentation for yourself, and logging into RU-vid to watch it, only to be immediately spoiled because one of the first thumbnails the site throws at you is some dude making a gaping expression with a big fat "RIDLEY IN SMASH?!?" on it

6PathsGoku as I said, people have lives. In my timezone Nintendo's show was at noon. On a Tuesday. People have jobs. I myself usually sleep at that time for my overnight shift, but I had the luxury of being able to watch it live. Many others wont ne able to though. Sorry to see that you cant seem to fathom the concept of being considerate. Sad.

Daedric Halberd If they were gonna be excited about it from the direct then they can be excited to see it immediately and not have to sit through a 40 minute video to see it. I don't think most people actually care all that much because it's not like Ridley isn't actually in the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC is looking so fucking goooooooood! Im dying to get my hands on it. Smash as well. Nintendo, all though very little, did very very good with what they had. And as a dedicated fan of the game and the series, i would definitely give it a recommendation. I do not own a single person who has not become extremely invested in the game after playing it for a while. Its really immersive and VERY VERY touching. The game had me tearing up several times, and its a game you easily hit 100-150 hours on. Definitely give it a go.

There is still hope for some new characters and maybe subspace because sakurai said in the smash invitational that it was halfway through development so there is hope. But don't count on it though. Just a tiny bit of hope.

why would you be happy about wave dashing being back? it's a glitch that makes melee un fun. Glad directional air dodges are back WITHOUT wave dashing (confirmed by Nintendo)

I just wanna point out that people say that waluigi isn't in smash because "he hasn't been in a main series Mario game" which is fair but I don't think captain falcon was even visible in the original F-Zero and Nintendo had nothing to go off when making a moveset for him, yet he is one of the most beloved characters, but waluigi could have a moveset based around attacking with a tennis racket or even using the racket as a reflector (considering he was created so Wario could have a partner in Mario tennis) also saying he "doesn't deserve to be in smash" is true, but if that is the case why are olimar, duck hunt duo and R.O.B in smash? Of course it's still all up to Sakurai if he wants waluigi to be a playable character which he doesn't. But I wish people would at least see that other characters had the same problems as waluigi but still got in

Piplup1704 The difference is that Captain Falcon was simply the closest manly man character they could fund to match the basic models they already had. His moves are based off his personality and lets be honest here, waluigi doesn’t really have a distinguishable personality. And giving him a bunch of sports/party moves shows he has no identity of his own.

Masahiro Sakurai is completely aware of the high demand for Waluigi as a playable fighter in Super Smash Brothers, there's proof out there, but he just keeps ignoring making him a playable fighter. He works in customer service and one of the purposes of a customer service representative is to make customers happy. Customers here are the people who buy his games, and he keeps not adhering to this one particular request. The only thing he has been gaining out of this and is going to continue gaining out of it is a lot of upset customers and dislike, and even hate. Why does he want the dislike and hate? I cannot fathom why!
