Hey Bob, I passed by you and Wood while you were taking pictures on the sidewalk at TMG. I was thinking about getting a picture with you both, but I didn’t want to extend the line while you were standing there in the stifling heat.
For those that didn't know, the MIG Switch allowed you to exploit the golden coin program by changing the key file. Not that I ever did it to buy SMT5 Vengeance 😅
If you're using the Mig switch and you get banned, it's kinda your fault. But it feels unfair to ban people that buy a used game without knowing that someone else is using the backup of it.
I mounted a strong MagSafe magnet to a flat slab of a joycon mount. It works great for the vertical positioning. A great experience with DS emulation. All copies that I legally own and ripped myself.
Hey Bob, after watching your Summer Showcase podcast; I have a reccomendation for Tactical FPS like that new Bodycam game. The game is called Ready or Not and is a spiritual successor to the SWAT series (or Police Quest if your old enough)
1:44:45 Spider-Man Life Story has pretty much become my "This is the story of Spiderman" book. There is so much shenanigans and status quo resets in the comics. Life story just finally lets Peter have a complete story from beginning to end. I don't want anymore Spiderman that does not fit in the framework of that book after that book.
I’ll have to check out Chip Zdarsky’s Life Story - hadn’t heard of that one. Personally I think Ultimate Spider-Man is a great read, whether it’s Peter Parker’s or Miles Morales’s run. The Peter Parker Ultimate Spider-Man run is fun to me because it’s the origin story but with twists. It’s fun to see how they changed things. Miles Morales’s is great because he is perfect and it’s an origin story - super easy entry point to the lore.
Will, I have comic book questions for you. I’ve recently been reading some of Image and Boom studios’ new stuff and it’s all been pretty good.. 1. What have you been reading? 2. Is it worth it for me to get into Spawn? 3. Thoughts on buying digital comics?
Bob mentioning companies should not give games away for free because it screws over everyone else, does this include Anbernic? They include games pre-downloaded on their devices most notably the RG35XX.
Yes it is, but done poorly. It needs a physical button to change between games. Otherwise it will wear down hardware. It is also highly overpriced. If you want functionality of mig, then it is better and cheaper to just use modded switch. Unless you are a masochist and play on crappy Nintendo online servers
The thing I don't like about Xbox controllers is how easily the bumper buttons break. Some or all of the 8bitdo controllers have the same issue as well, while I haven't had any issues with a Playstation controller (or Nintendo, but I haven't used my Pro controller as much). I don't really like how "sharp" the grip feels on the Series controllers either, but that's more of a personal thing.
1:33:13 my obvious PS2 game that I love is MGS3 but that is a somewhat popular title. My other pick is crazy frog racer 2 lol. I didnt have mario kart so this is all i had 🤣
On steam deck get the XBPlay app on steam for gamepass with less steps for now. Mac support for games will never get big as long as you need to do a bunch of extra shit that costs money especially for smaller devs. For PC you just compile it on your PC. For Mac, you gotta get mac hardware, which is like $900 ish. Then you have to get a license key thats $100 a year, then compile in XCode which sucks ass, then you can compile for MAC. Then if you screw up any of the coding, you have to go reprovision the license key, recompile in XCode, and do it all over again. Until they make it more simple, itll never get much support.
Hey will, like how you watched dune 2, my wife and I just had our first kid a few weeks ago. I think a little after he was born, over the span of a weekend I watched dune 1 in like 10 different sittings, volume really low and subtitles on while he slept on my chest. I did the same with dune 2 another weekend. Just like director Denis Villeneuve intended for them to be watched.
The n64 had flick stick. It was called C buttons 😒 Jesus Christ, imagine spending decades shitting on the n64 controller only to end up trying to replicate it and not even realising or succeeding.
Gamepass on fire sticks go against what makes the latency good on these services, think of all the small windows of delay adding up: wireless bluetooth tends to have latency, wifi on top of that. At least with the idea of a dedicated mini console they could use the wireless protocal the xbox consoles use for minimal lag and then a wired connection, it's a shame they scrapped it for generic stuff.
The point of the Summer Sale is to buy games, throw them into your backlog and hopefully play it eventually 🫠 Treat yall self Kings. Also Will, go buy Witcher 3. You’ll play it eventually.
Part of the problem. When developing for Mac is mantle. Its the worst out of all the platforms api wise. Also, now we're adding Rosetta on top of it for cpu stuff. In addition apple wont answer questions about anything or update there driver if their is a bug.... Unlike everyone else, who will answer questions you might have or help point you in the right direction. You can see why all these things are a problem, now add to it the possible addressable market to it and their experience with game mechanics...
15:30 To anyone saying this lawsuit is good for the used game market, not it is not. Nintendo's software license prevents sales of phsyicsl games too. Nintendo will try to sue used game sellers if they ever think they can do it without the consumers revolting and boycotting them.
Club going up on a Tuesday!!!! (err...Wednesday morning) love your guy's stuff, keep up the amazing work ❤ They actually made the mig switch!?!...oh but not the dumper, whack. The tort thing is ridiculous, they already covered that in the lawsuit count covering the eula
As someone who has played most of the Assassin's Creed games, I would say only one needs a complete remake - the first one. It hasn't been re-released by Ubisoft (I think they are aware it has aged poorly) and now is pretty painful to go back to, but had a lot of promise and the story, world, character etc. was good. It is stuck on my PS3 now. Whenever I have seen comments, I have seen people asking for a remake of this, but then they choose to remake Black Flag of all things? 😂
2:00 Regarding automotive youtubers: There are a couple of large channels (Hoonigan and Donut being the main ones) that have had public-facing employees leave recently. Mostly it's because the channels' parent companies were sold to investor outfits (or in Hoonigan's case, a wheel company) that proceeded to gut the company's creative budget or refocus on cost cutting, or refocus the channel's content or formatting. The exodus is getting attention elsewhere on the web (as opposed to the near constant, and silent, turnover expected in media companies in general) because the people leaving are on-camera hosts with followings and soap boxes of their own. But they're not all under one company. Donut had 5 main hosts and lost 2. Hoonigan had... I don't even know how many hosts, but they lost almost all of them. If I were to pick one channel to represent car youtube, it would be Hoonigan, not Donut. Donut had a bad reputation from very early on for using other people's content without permission and without proper attribution. I also think their videos (with one or two exceptions) were aimed at a much younger audience. Up To Speed (one of their shows) was basically an excuse for the host to shout at the top of his lungs and drop pop culture shonen anime references, while ostensibly doing an educational video on a basic car topic or classic car model. Between the high-energy format and a NOS Energy sponsorship, the show directly led to the host (James Pumphrey) having a heart attack. SMH.
Hey Wulff bros! I was just wondering if you'd want to hang out with me and smoke weed and fill our bellies with diet soda and emulate burnout revenge for the ps2?
55:22 i blame xbox for gyro not beeing bigger, if we want to give them their credit for pc support of controller over the years, yes xinput beeing native on windows RULES is awesome. we need to also blame them for their lack or gyro on their controller, like come on man the xbox controller is 2 gens behind on gyro suport. last gen ok kinda understandable. only the wii had it during that gen development, and who knows if they knew sony would add it. this gen ok how is this acceptable. their rumble sucks i understand how old as gamers still think rumble is a gimmick. if their are xbox fanboys (im looking at you linus) the xbox controller rumble just makes noice and its 100% a gimmick. the swich and the ps5 rumble is awesome, and they all have had gyro for a couple gens at this point. tldr: get your shit together microsoft and and gyro to the xbox controller, and more importantly xinput on pc
