I think it's the same no matter whether it's a game spot or a corp cable internet company. This is corp America at it's finest. Every second is micro managed and all numbers are pushed in a sickening way
I've started to lean back towards a physical curated magazine for gaming news specifically (promise I'm not lying lmao) because of how low quality clickbaity and ai slop infested gaming journalism has become even more so over journalism covering other topics. I can still get important breaking news online direct from companies and enjoy discussions like this podcast where you curate the news and cut most the clickbait and baseless speculation/rumours. Then I can pick up a physical copy of a magazine and know the articles inside will be high quality, interesting and well written unlike basically any gaming news website overall. So I'm super bummed at the game informer news, I wouldn't blame them stopping future publication but erasing the back catalogue was such a shitty move and I hope they reverse it.
I love Wulff Den but him shitting on a classic game like Mystery Dungeon was a bad take. Definitely not for everyone but saying the game is just not good at all and people only like it for nostalgia was so weird to see him say.
can we get a handheld that makes the consoles obsolete meaning performance capabilities, not outperforming the strongest most expensive pc's but up to par with the current gen consoles with the same capabilities not everyone wants to sit at a desk or have to be glued to a monitor or tv, some gamers like to lounge laydown etc. plus the fact it can go practically anywhere with you is the biggest selling point people seem to look past, it can cost more then the console fine but it will sell that's for sure.
I no longer read magazines for news related stuff. By the time the thing is printed and arrives either at a retailer or my house, the news is old. What I do like magazines for is reading opinion pieces and longform content. I'd read a gaming magazine that has interviews with important people that isn't just an add for their upcoming game. Articles about gaming history. Well thought out lists with good information, not just buzzfeed listicles. It also doesn't need to come out super often. I would pay decent money for a quarterly publication that looks and feels nice in my hands.
Mystery Dungeon is absolutely fantastic! There’s a reason why there are so many games in the series and so many fans. Try the Shiren Mystery Dungeon games if you want to see the best use of Mystery Dungeon formula.
The GameStop by me actually sells us gpg’s and then when a new game comes out if we bring back the game with the gpg they take it as a return and gives me my money back. I’ve been getting new games of the same 65$ and it’s great
If GS would change their mentality from a “coffee is for closers” to a customer/employee friendly one, the world would be a better place with them in it. They are the only one of those kind left. Tons of non-gamers still think about them first and still trade their old games to them. I’ve picked up SNES, N64, Gameboy, GameCube, and other retro games from there recently.
Some of the driver s update through the discover store. (Specifically mesa) So it might be worth will going to the desktop and updating that stuff? Otherwise, yeah battery storage mode sounds about right. I think I've even heard about this before and that was the fix.
Hey guys, I’ve been following Bob for a while and have been keeping up with the podcast weekly for about three years now. Honestly, look forward to hearing it every week. Like Bob, I really like my coffee. I’m originally from Queens, but I’ve been living in Nassau County. Bob, do you have any good local coffee shops that you would recommend? Thanks guys!
That diet is just a clear liquids fast. It includes broth, water, and sports drinks and it good if your stomach is messed up. Gaterade/most sports drinks have electrolytes in them and help hydration in the body
Wulff Bros mention 2 farts in the first 12 minutes of the stream lol: Five Nights at Freddys creator farting out 5 titles in the series in quick succession, Nintendo farting (porting) over Pokemon Mystery Dungeon onto the Switch.
Will, have you ever been to Silver Age Comics in Astoria up in the N train station on Ditmars Blvd? I used to live over there and it was pretty cool. I just moved to North Carolina and now I can afford to buy myself fun things and wish we had as cool of a local comic shop I can spend money at. Also Bob, it’s a bit of a travesty you’ve never played hat in time. It’s actually very good, no odyssey but very good
Doesn’t seem like many people even know that you didn’t get game informers with your power up subscription anymore. You actually had to pay separately on the game informer website it was like 35 bucks for 2 years worth of magazines.
I remember always playing the java Assassin's Creed games on my Nokia. It was only until Assassin's Creed 3 that I realised it was actually a bigger series on PC and console.
I had the same issue on my deck. Solution I found was: 1. Completely turn off the Deck and disconnect the charger 2. Hold Volume + and the power button to boot 3. Go to “Setup Utility” 4. Go to the power options menu 5. Enable battery storage mode Power LED should flash a couple times. After it’s done flashing, power on the Deck. If it worked, it should not power on since it’s in battery storage mode. Plug in the charger and press the power button and it should boot and work normally.
Hate to go with a "Um...actually" but seems like someone needs to say something. About the first Assassin's Creed... I agree with the general consensus. As a first installment in a new franchise it showed incredible promise. A lot of interesting concepts, research material, mechanics. What held it down and made it worse was the constant repeating of the same missions over and over. That was the worst part. However...a few notes: 1.In the Desmond parts in the present...You could actually do a lot more than go to sleep. I can understand why you don't remember, as that is completely missable and very subtle...if you stick around Lucy or Vidic you could overhear more dialogue about what was going on outside of the animus room. Also if you found the code left by someone (probably Lucy) you could exit your room, read emails and get a deeper idea of what was actually going on. You could even be clued in about some plot points that would emerge a bit later (like Lucy being an undercover agent). And funnily enough those errands are completely canon, since they are referenced in AC2. 2.I understand why many people feel Altair was a dull protagonist, especially if you compare him to the complete story we got from Ezio. However if you actually analyze his character journey in this single game, a very interesting and nuanced story is hidden between all those dull repetitive missions. Linked to that, there is some interest in the slow realization by Altair, after each target, that what he is somehow doing something wrong. I'm not saying that this first installment is better than the others, I just wanted to point out that we should give it much more credit than we do as of now.
I had an interview and the manager handed me a bricked offline game and said to sell it to a customer, I said “If you want to have the case for some reason we sell it, but it’s not a playable game and just a paperweight after the servers shut down.” He said they are there to get as much money as possible, not to help the customers and I was not hired. He said I would be the type of person to tell them Fortnite BR is free instead of selling them the physical.
@@Virang807I agree and the big problem is GameStop is just a greedy corporation that doesn’t care about games or geek culture. Now they have a $20 sticker on a game but it will ring up $45 and they will hope you don’t see it until you already swipe the card. Then they get all mad saying they “we have rules, but we will do you a favor and price match the case.” I haven’t been back since. Also selling a game online with no guarantee to get anything or even the game is trash. Bought Pokémon yellow and they sent be the rom in a blue gb cartridge on one of my old unboxings.
Started playing original Assassins Creed this week on the deck and then you guys get to talk about it on backlog that's so funny Keep up the good work guys
I just started watching the video, and I don't know if you actually solve the problem with the steam deck during it. I actually experienced the same bug. If I remember correctly all you have to do is: 1.turn it off 2.Access the bios (hold volume + and press power button). 3.Browse to "Power" section, there should be an option named "Battery Storage Mode", 4.Don't panic, Now the console will turn off and not react to any button. All you have to do is plug it in to the charger an press the power button. It will take a few extra seconds to turn on. 5.The problem should be solved. If I remember correctly it's a simple bug that happens while updating
I loved the magazine, but I stopped getting it when I stopped shopping at gamestop. I would still like the GI Magazine. This reeks of a tax write off to kill GI like studios do with movies. They should have sold GI to someone who would keep it going.
Such a shame what they did with destiny 2. Removing rollable perks, 6v6 multiplayer, and shotguns as primaries were all terrible fucking decisions. Played 1000 hours of destiny in a year. Absolutely enthralled with it. Barely played d2
Can we get Will a new job as a QA tester at these PC handheld places please? I would feel much better about buying these things knowing he has tried his best to break them 😂
I got the Mario & Sonic 2020, and was really upset that there wasn't a 2022 (or 2018). I prefer Winter Olymics and the fact that they weren't made at all for the Switch was frustrating.
