Wytchwood is also very cozy! You’re a witch in the woods set to collect souls and you craft lots of potions from items in the woods :)

I don't know how much it can be described as a cozy game but I absolutely loved Gris, the music is absolutely gorgeous and before I knew it 5 hours had passed

Sky is soooo good! I love that they expand the game all the time with new maps, new spirits, new seasons, new clothing, new music instruments (yes, you can play music inside the game). Absolutely love it. And basically all micro-transactions are only cosmetics.

I'm currently playing Bugsnax. You can't die, there are puzzles, and the story is deeper and sweeter than I ever expected. It's really been addictive fun.

Cozy Grove, yes!! I spend several hours playing the game (later levels)! It all started on my iPad, then it ported over to the Switch. Love it!

Sky is really good as a social game tbh! I love making friends in sky and it’s also one of the main things that keeps me playing. It also has daily tasks when you get a bit far in the game.

You earned my sub when you said “there’s nothing cozy about Minecraft.” All my friends considered Minecraft relaxing and mindless. I really wanted to love the game and spent 100 hours on it but the darn creepers kept blowing up house and the dungeons were to stressful for my taste lol. Your reviews of the underrated cozy games were informative. I’ve only heard of Children of the Light and Cozy Grove. CotL is an Indie game that also made Journey. My friend tried on mobile when it came out years ago and he really got into it. There are micro transactions in the game but he said they were only for aesthetics. He spent money on it because he wanted to support the developer but it’s totally unnecessary for the game progression.

Just finished playing Spiritfarer and it is absolutely gorgeous. You and your maskot are charged to lead spirits into "the other side" by helping them with last requests and tasks. Really a soul warmer, super recomend!

Little Wood is a very cozy game even the sounds are chill.

I like cozy gaming and a podcast. True crime is my fave thing to listen to, but I love historical stuff as well. A chill game where you don't have to worry about dying or missing important plot details lets you just relax with the game while focusing on the story you are hearing.

So glad the list doesn't include all the obvious choices like AC. Always good to find out about awesome games from smaller and or less well known developers. There are so many beautiful and cool games that often get overlooked because the are not from the same old developers that produce the same franchise time and time again.

I always thought in my opinion, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker was an absolute cozy game for me! I love puzzle games and the atmospshere of the game and the music and graphics just make you wanna curl up in bed and play for hours, its amazing! Highly reccomend

Ditto on Spiritfarer. Finished it prior to the DLC dropping (maybe around a month after release) and that ending still pops in my head occasionally to ruin my day 😭 It is a fantastic experience but it's just too heart wrenching for me to go back to.

I'd say moonlighter is another good one. Running and expanding your cozy shop, the dungeon combat is simple and easy, great music and interesting story too

Summer in Mara is a great cozy switch game. It’s a quest based game, with huge farming and exploration aspects. It’s takes quite a long time to finish the game, I’ve been playing for 8 hours and barely have my island started. Also you can have a bunch of animals to take care of, and the art and story are beautiful.

Abzu and Sky actually both a heartbreakingly beautiful stories if you take the time to decypher with Abzu being about the dangers of technology and resource extraction and becoming more than what we were born for and Sky being about self sacrifice and the cycle of rebirth. Also they are both developed by simular teams and a lot of the developers from Journey a likewise exploratory game with a very moving story.

You get my like for Let's Go Pikachu! I was into Pokemon back in gen 1 and the original Blue one of my favorite "relaxing" games to play now. Let's Go is now my favorite way to play through Gen 1 and to do it in a SUPER casual way. Everyone levels up quickly, there are way less battles, the catching mechanic has been way dumbed down, but it all ends up being a great way for me to unwind at night. My only issue with it is the removal of the bikes, but I always have my Arcanine with me, so I can just cruise around on his back.

Well I haven’t played it myself, I think Calico is a great cozy game! You are a cat cafe owner in that game as well, like one you mentioned. I think the storytelling and art style and game play all looks super fun!

A game i really, really enjoyed not only story-wise but also for its gameplay and the beautiful, mesmerizing and chilling music was "Fe". It doesnt really provide much dialogue, you rather have to learn and interpret the Story in your own way which i absolutely loved. My mom really likes it too, the artstyle is just gorgeous. Plus, you play not only as a Fox-pup, but you can also learn different techniques from other animals including flying! And yes, when you unlock everything you can infinitely fly around the World and gaining height by howling! Its so adorable

I would definitely recommend a short hike! It's pretty short, finished it in two evenings, but it was so relaxing and fun to play!! Im surprised i haven't seen anyone recommend it in the comments

Great video, some good suggestions that I'll have to try out. One game I haven't played yet (just bought it), is Chicory , and I think it's probably a great cozy game (at least it seems like it). Also Frostpunk, as grim as it is, has become one of my go-to relaxing cozy games :)

My brother showed me Abzu when he first got his switch and I played through the whole thing on my own switch rather quickly. It was super relaxing XD

A game I’d recommend is A Short Hike. It’s well a short game but it’s beautiful. You play as a bird name Claire and you have to reach the top of a mountain. I enjoyed it a lot

Hello, i love your list and i have 2 more cozy games coming in 2022 in my point of view along to what you suggested, you have Coral Island (it's a Stardew Valley like but it has some Disney vibes), Super Zoo Story (it's an other Stardew Valley like and you take care of a zoo with animals). And i really wish Nintendo could bring Tomodachi Life :< it's a wierd game but i can consider it cozy too since you manage lovely characters and dramas.

I'm currently playing Cereza and the Lost Demon and it is a surprisingly cozy game! Venturing out in a mythical forest, battling enemies, as a fan of Bayonetta it is extremely lighthearted!

Besides Cozy Grove (which I have) & Pkmn Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu (which is an AAA game) I haven't heard of any of these!!! They look absolutely delightful, though, and I can't wait to dive into some of them!!!

Ooblets!!! Yes! This is a really great game. It has tons of unique features. I found it by watching this video and easily became addicted. It is sooooo underrated. The shop, you can decorate and put things right next to each other, tons of cute items, the storyline held my attention throughout, the plants, the verbiage, ooblets, dancing, I could go on and on. I like Animal Crossing but man there is just something so satisfying about having your own shop, decorating it, stocking it, and ringing the cash register. I love playing cosy games before sleeping, mostly ACNH, Stardew Valley, Sky and Unpacking (and Minecraft on easy too sometimes X) ). I’ll try to download all the others you presented, I really need something new X) mostly I hope that one day we will have sort of a Unpacking 2. Unpacking relaxed me so much, The things that the protagonist and her friend like are similar to mine, I had a great time zooming on the books, video games and CD covers to guess the references, sorting books by size, video games by color, and searching for all the stickers and hidden details (when you shake her little pigbank, you hear the money inside, when you put down her duck plushie, it does a little quack, you can turn on the lava lamp, change the pose of the tiny wooden mannequin, turn on the console, fush the toilet, etc…). I played Spiritfarer too and I’m glad you presented Cosy Grove. Because I wasn’t ready about how much Spiritfarer can emotionally destroy you. I love the gameplay, the design, the music, everything is so sweet and cozy. But then you have everything about the souls. I had to stop playing it because I’m currently going through the grief of someone who was close to me. Having to see the souls leaving and saying goodbye was too hard. I’ll definitely try Cosy Grove first, I really like the design and you presented it well ! Thank you for your video !

I’d also suggest Cattails! It’s a really cute game, I’ve been told it’s visually similar to Stardew Valley (but not sure how similar the gameplay is because I don’t play Stardew). It involves playing as a cat, hunting, accomplishing tasks and finding a mate. There’s no stress at getting things done in time etc, really fun comfort game.

Sky and Abzu are absolutely must-play games, especially since they're developed by thatgamecompany (responsible for flOw, Flower, and Journey), and ex-thatgamecompany staff (Giant Squid, who also made Pathless) respectively. Both studios are well worth watching.
