@@Jason75913 For some reason I was expecting a shorter video and the longer videos come later in the season so I was surprised when I saw this video was over 90 minutes long
This is the funniest comment I've seen because i saw a plainrock vlogs video and it said he uploads weekly...... Yeah I'm pretty sure 3 months is equal to a week.
A lot of Scott’s opinions feel like “yeah this game is good, but I put it down after 2 hours” and “yeah this game is shit but I still played it for like 50 hours”
@@PlaystationFreak719 why do you need to trust it? I think you're missing the whole point of the channel. Scott isn't a reviewer, he's just giving his thoughts about games. You don't get to say they're invalid just because you disagree with them.
As a big AC fan, Sims fan and Pokémon fan I must inform you that asking for a good game isn't something bad and that shaming people for it is not nice. A thing that the three games I've mentioned have in common is downgrading their content and "reselling" the missing pieces as new incredible bonuses (sea diving update, Pokémon dlc, my first pet stuff for the sims). The communities have a right to be a mad and ask for the games to meet the standards WHEN the games come out, without having to pay or wait months or years to get back what we had previously. Remember, these are not small indie studios that deserve our compassion, but big companies that mainly care about their profits and we, as their clients (because that's what fans are, clients. Many people forget that) have the right to demand for a better product and the duty to call these companies out when they do not deliver. Especially considering their profits.
That's true of any franchise, because non fans don't care enough to click on articles or videos to complain a new gimmick or what was taken away from the previous game.
"I assume more pricing plans will become available like a $30 a year one where you get more retro systems like Nintendo 64" - Scott predicting the switches future again.
@@hotsauce1543 What kind of a bad fanboy argument is this? Look at what Microsoft offers, and look what Nintendo offers. It's a little bit cheaper, but offers magnitudes of possibilities less. It's an overpriced bullshit thing.
@@DylanAlpegiani I feel like the Gamecube was still more successful than the Wii U, because practically no one bought the Wii U cause the advertising was bad and the title made people think it was just a better version of the Wii, instead of a whole new console.
@@agentcallisto I keep reading it as "absinthe" which is confusing the shit out of me cos in what world would Scott make an iDKHOW reference, lmfao (the answer is "a perfect one")
@@TheHouinMark Yeah I’m not sure what he’s going for by commenting on everything. The amount of people that watch Scott that would also like to watch Valski is minimal to none. Same with most other videos I see him comment in, although there is a skewed bias as I don’t watch videos that do have people that would also like to watch Valski. Maybe he already watches these RU-vidrs and comments casually. If it’s anything other then that, he should spend his time making original content instead of commenting each time someone breaths.

see, so this is why i like scott: he's gone for 3 whole months, comes back with a one and a half hour 'video' (it can be called a movie at this point) and just acts like nothing happens.
@@JeremySheer well i just mentioned it in general, not for scott to see it :) you can’t say anything without people getting mad in these times can you?
“Nintendo hates Mario, and to a greater extent, us.” Truer words were never spoken, except for the “Nintendo does stupid shit no one ever understands every week”. Goddamn.
You know this is a Scott video when you hear him gushing excited yet honestly over Clubhouse Games, a random compilation of simple casual games, for five minutes straight as a highlight of the year. Plainly wholesome stuff from an oddly specific but common kind of 2000's kid.
well, he tries to avoid talking about world events and politics because both those things are a mess, so it’s appreciated... but covid really impacted EVERYTHING, so it had to be at least touched on some.
@@javaman3403 I originally named mine Waffle Hosue but i've never ever even seen the inside of a waffle house. They might not even sell waffles for all i know.
Man, I can’t believe that it’s almost been a year since this came out and I found it on Reddit especially since it was my first Scott video and when he became one of my favorite RU-vid channels and now we are approaching the follow up to this is most likely coming in under a month
1:23:38 OK, honestly who's here after finding out that the next Smash Bros character ended up being the pointy hair key man instead of the Raisin Brand Sun.....dammit
45:20 "Satori Iwata made them feel like they were showing up to your living room" I will never forget the time you said that Scott, that's fricking awesome. I had a glimpse of nostalgia when you said that. Thank you
I won't lie, I feel like Nintendo lost a lot of soul and became more commercial when Iwata died. Nintendo directs started feeling more cold and commercial(Iwata and game devs used to be in the directs), Nintendo online subscription were introduced(Satoru Iwata was against online subscriptions), and their decisions around how they release games and do things sometimes make me feel like satoru iwata will be rolling in his grave. I get Nintendo is a business and all, but still satoru iwata always made it feel like Nintendo was a friend rather than commercial entity.
Nah, he won’t. He’s already dabbled in hour long videos and refuses to take sponsors. The only way he makes money off of this is Adsense, and I think it will stay that way
i know this is a joke, but im worried too. scott starts a subscription service called ScottNintendoMax and it costs the same as switch online 20 dollars a year
@@Luke-zx4nx don’t blame you lol. I never had a Wii U so I got the switch at launch. The games still relatively new to me, but I know many Wii U owners would like to see a new game or at least some dlc.
I can't wait for this year's one. 2021 was a much better year for nintendo as opposed to 2020, although I understand why that is with all that was going on with the world so I don't blame them.
oh my god! swsh bad??? such an original joke!!!!!!!!!! i am screaming with laughter so hard my mother shot me in the head for bothering her!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate how Scott was able to acknowledge that Covid seriously messed with Nintendo this year without mentioning it by name or going in-depth with it, it's nice to have a temporary escape from real life chaos
This is why I subbed to you. Everywhere I go, you’re in the corner of my eye. The same shadows that have scared my dog into becoming a racist (if you catch my drift). You make my sleep paralysis demon look like a conjugal visit. Fitting how that analogy works. Cause in both cases, I feel nothing but guilt. Guilt for both all the sins I’ve committed, and guilt for knowing that I could’ve done better. Better for the one in front of me. Funny this. In my family, love is such a huge, complicated feeling that got stuck in the well due to it not aligning to any form of “party” that they want to be in. And why do they want to be in such a group? Especially when they feel that it overpowers any and all forms of cookie-comforts and kisses? It is simple. We all want to belong to something, out of fear of being an outcast. The fear that the things you value will look down on you due to how you treat yourself in juxtaposition of what is normally accepted, what is the majority. And while some say that they prefer solitude, they still have to understand the majority. They have to understand that being accepted by the majority is what you’d prefer when you want the feel of the big-wig’s old tender hands wrap around your shoulders as if you proved something. Something important in life. Then there’s the minority. Though at first, it seems like a nice getaway from the “norm.” These little oddities that most people would gloss over as just really offensive funny business is what makes them tick. Heck, the fact that they oppose what the vast majority deems acceptable is what gives them life. But sometimes, the niche of it can just cause the most unwanted people to paint over the wood grain of this guitar-like community. And eventually when that minority is seen as the majority for when the former is seen as outdated and lacking, what else is there to call a minority? So why not solitude? There’s just so much in so little. You don’t have to listen to anybody, you don’t have to live up to anyone’s standards, and independence is but a joyride. One that leads to the heavens as it is a gift of God. Even in our loneliest state, company is still needed. It takes over the want, consciously or unconsciously. You tell yourself that everything’s fine, dependence is the Devil’s work, and getting yourself involved with these complex and seemingly pointless emotions is just too much to bear. That is until you realize that you are still talking to someone in the end. And once you remove the last person in your life I find you. The very person I hate. I loath that you breathe what I breathe, think what I think, and walk where I walk. Your mere soul wraps around me like a slime. Just when I think that I’m free from everyone and free to myself, you’re here. But I stopped to care for it. Cause in it, i found one thing. Happiness. I’m happy that you breathe what I breathe, that you think what I think, and that you walk where I walk. Cause in the end, these shadows are just boastful kings defeated by a measly peasant with a drip of light. Cause why bother to live in the clouds when you know what the sun is capable of? And that’s where we are. Being happy with each other. Cause what my family fails to understand is that you find your acceptance through love. The obvious answer is only seen as the wiser one when you strip the question of its armor and reveal its false defenses. So I feel saddened when you can’t look me in the eyes without seeing the apple halfway in my mouth and the tears coming from my throat. Because we may be clouds, but we’re near the sun. And that’s why I feel that you need the support. After all, what better way to find it than on a Scott The Woz video? So anyway, why Chara as a profile pic?
There are two types of people in this world: people who get bored of ACNH after some time and then never get back into it And people who can't bear to leave the game for two seconds
I have played AHNH every single day single launch and still continue to do so and there is basically nothing to do on there after after 2-3 months of playing. Aside from random updates, there’s nothing to come back to unless you like to collect fish, bugs, fossils and art
@@cf9822 It has some great ones but they seemed to have released in the first two years of the switch. The newest released game I have on mine from Nintendo is from 2018 with Smash Bros. There have been no titles since then that have caught my interest (besides a couple of the re releases but I am not paying $60 for something I already own)
The way Scott yells “Chibi-Robo Six is coming” is so unbelievably unnatural to hear yet it’s so hilarious EDIT: back to say that the “Switch Pro” is really just the regular Switch, but now with an OLED screen
Dear Scott, I like your videos very much, they are fun! BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, what you have been doing for gaming history is so valuable I can not even find the words to describe it. Thanks for documenting all these.
1:29:13 Everyone seems to be pointing out how Splatoon 3 is post-apocalyptic which is funny because Splatoon has always been post-apocalyptic. Splatoon 1 had references to humans in the same way we talk about dinosaurs.
Next year we're gonna have a full length movie on our hands, holy shit. These retrospectives get longer and longer every time. Not that I'm complaining. An hour and 30 minutes of Scott after nearly 4 months is bliss.
The animal crossing Switch actually kinda pissed me off, when I finally saved up for a switch my local walmart had 1 in stock and so I went to go buy it, I was like perfect it's an animal crossing switch and it comes with animal crossing which besides breath of the wild was the other main game I wanted for my switch, guess I should have done some more research because when I got home and unboxed it I was sorely disappointed that I had a console with no games. Had to wait another week to go get my first game, it was agony having the console with nothing but some free titles to play.
@@kirin1230 No it didn't suggest it came with a game but the way they advertise it seems like it does, there is very small print that states the game in not included
@@R3lentlessXgM None of the marketing or the box says in contains the game, very few special editions contain games, and if they do it's proudly presented on the box that it's included
i found the worst thing about New Horizons was Isabelle's daily news. What I enjoyed so much about the older installments was just wandering around and finding new things on my own (or even villagers giving you hints in their dialogue). It actually felt like a cool discovery. Now isabelle just immediately tells you "hey if you shake trees ornaments come out and you can use it for crafting" and it just kills the fun of an exploration/sandbox game. Imagine if something like the sims or minecraft did this, and told you all the possible things you could discover when you launched the game. It would be overwhelming and you'd moreso feel obligated to do those things rather than find them yourself and be interested in it.
