Same, I would love a free roam mode to the game, when I play the sports, I would catch myself looking at the details of the game, like the city’s in the back, the plants, the small little places like library, coffee shop, etc, this game has amazing detail!

@@SoulessSinferno the addition of basketball (my fav sport) is enough to make me buy the game but the other sports would increase replay value

I would rather they just have a “switch sports resort” than cramming all the stuff in. I think this game was just a test to see if they should make a switch sports resort, like if it would do well.

I’m pretty sure Nintendo promised they’d include more inclusive marriages if they ever re-released or made a sequel to Tomadachi, they might not want to dabble with that kind of stuff especially since they dealt with the backlash of Vivian in TTYD. I don’t know what the regulations are about those types of things in Japan but that might be a reason why it hasn’t shown up yet

No, because then there wouldn't be any sports to add to reel more people in if they put all the sports in at once. Drip feeding is more effective than just dumping everything on there.

Theres NO excuse for this content to not be in the game when wii sports and especially sports resort released with more games and i can think of plenty of other sports that this game couldve added later if they really wanted to. I'd rather just be happy that they added the sport in general than complaining that said content was added later, but that's just my personal opinion

This trailer seems like it's marketed at people who have never heard of this game before, so my guess is that Nintendo considered this game to be a commercial failure and they're trying to increase its reach

@@SupportPikminXOXO Nice passive aggression. I’ll have you now I am a HUGE fan of Splatoon 2- but I played the game after the free updates and LOVED IT! Arms was a commercial failure in some regards (as in the new updates, since any Arms reviews I’ve seen have been critical of the new updates more than Splatoon 2 and now Splatoon 3) Animal Crossing: New Horizons got some bad rep from the free updates, and it was popular due to the time it released, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Pass DLC’s waves were mainly to test the waters of a DLC to such a well-selling, yet old game, that actually used the criticisms of the waves to improve the later ones. I don’t like how they went about things, but I’m staying optimistic for the future of actual releases and not games with “free” updates.

I did use sarcasm and i wanted to make it obvious to avoid confusion. i wanted to make it obvious there too many opinions on this for me to have a definitive i agree or disagree with so why not a yes no answer of sarcasm. i presented these example to bait you into seeing how your statement would apply to these games also know for and having critique on free update or... even paid dlc. hmm i should have tossed minecraft into the mix but on the matter at hand. you acknowledged the bad rep the others have free update have. from what i am understanding. though you didnt exactly say you hate their free update since you only mention Animal crossing has its complaints but by others and boosted by the issue at the time, arms was just a failure, and splatoon you only played it after all its free dlc came out and patches... So... but from your latter statement it seems you do have some resentment for this style... as well as the paid dlc. But is it enough for me to also tell people to stop buying splatoon, and mario kart etc etc like this sports game. i actually dont have an opinion on this matter and i was curious about yours.. i am also aware both splatoon and animal crossing faced this criticism on free update and being incomplete and was curious about your thoughs... i too am a splatoon addict and played all the mentioned games. i will i used sarcasm to bait you into responding as i really like to listen to opinion. Baseball is probably not coming. The joycon isn't substantial enough to feel like a bat compared to the Wiimote.

I'm neutral towards it. It's can be a fun game. It's not my cup of tea, but other people enjoy it, and that's all that matters.

Not a fan of this approach. It’s a year apart of updates too. Can’t even get 3-6 month interval.

That’s why they made the game incomplete at launch. This is their strategy.

Fr, I LOVED Basketball in Resort, and I’m just confused why it’s added a year after golf, I love the Wii Sports series, including NSS! But, it could’ve came out earlier ;-;

It should have been in the game at launch, just like Leg Strap support in Soccer, as well as Golf (added in the same update as the Leg Strap Soccer support).

​@Ziilus The Leg Strap support for Soccer was in the game at launch. The update you're talking about adding Leg Strap support to online play since before then, it was exclusive to offline. And I would know. I bought the physical version day one, and that included a Leg Strap.

I've played the game. It's fun but it doesn't make up for the insulting amount of content compared to Wii Sports Resort and the infuriating way cosmetics are unlocked.

Even if you don’t compare it to Wii Sports. Not having any Single player content is Disappointing.

Now, you NEED to play online to get better and more unique things to customize your fisher price toy, also known as “Sports Mate”. The online is just a sorry excuse for a lack of content in general.
