I've played a lot of Nioh 2 and recently decided to go through with a Tonfa build. Following this as closely as I can. I don't have the purity tonfas, mine are corruption based. But I do have the One-Eyed Dragon set. I'm decimating content in Dream of the Strong. Just fought Tatarimokke and it was over in 30s. I remember things being pretty easy in DotS with both splitstaff and fists, but things getting much harder for me with those builds in DotD. We'll see if this is still as strong at that point. Hey Cowboy, nowadays where would you recommend farming Revenants? And more importantly, which missions would visit to farm Quality umbracites? Thanks in advance

Main missions are your best source of coop quality umbracite, the one with osakabe is good since it's loaded with bosses. As for revenants I'd suggest using the Nioh 2 discord and find folks to trade with directly vs. randomly farming and hoping for what you need.

@fightingcowboy how do you manage to find gloves with attack or wind storm on them. Farmed for hours and only 1 pair dropped. Definitely worse than the original nioh drop rates

Been having real issues getting attack increase heart A on my katana gah... Was getting everything else - courage, skill, magic at A and no heart. Finally found B or B - Heart so rolled that for now and when actually can get some more Umbracite will try again... 🙈🙈

I actually kinda like the child of the sun build i have. Its slightly weaker than my obsidian build I have but its stronger than the obsidian samurai build posted a while back. I'm gonna run it till its too hard and then maybe switch back to my obsidian build. I figure its great for farming till a dlc drops

I'm still struggling with combat in Nioh and I don't want to blame the game for my lack of understanding -- do you have any advice for someone who's tired of feeling lost and frustrating to other players when they try to co-op with others? I know the problem is on my end and I don't want to make excuses for that. Thanks for any help you can offer. (edit): I know how important it is to lock-in to the right clan and I've definitely done that with Honda. I guess my problem is that I don't understand all the stuff "under-the-hood" in Nioh and because of it, any success I have in the game seems totally random and accidental. How do I get from where I'm at, to where I need to be?

If you're having a hard time, you might try switching to a spear or axe build because the main damage stats also boost your health and allow you to wear heavy armour, with B agility, respectively and you will be able to take more damage and stay alive for longer. It will allow you to progress to NG+ more quickly, where you can play the real game and get more into the under the hood mechanics, as outlined in CB's build videos etc

Don't farm for those levels. Just progress through Ng+ as normal and you will level up fast to 200. When you hit 200 start grinding out the final mission

Im currently using Tonfa... red demon + yatagarasu .. west bow and yatagarasus matchlock and sword. Clan i go for red demon set bonus for melee damage... denon hord tonfa with added tonfa gun.. use tempers on everything to get bonuses and voila! Insane damage by doing square square square triangle triangle. I can go up to 7k on tonfa gun hit

Comparatively speaking, it's volumes weaker than any other dedicated build. It can "work", but it's behind even my starter builds in terms of damage potential.
