Great build. Just a heads up, Maeda clan reduced defense on Grapple doesn't work in multiplayer. Don't ask me why. It seems enemies have their status resistances increased thus preventing you to trigger that status.

It’s sad because this build looks soo fun but I really do not want to save scum. Can I get a decent enough build for DotD just from picking up gear? I find forging confusing and laborious as hell. To spend an hour in menus per piece is just too much for me. I only have finite time and want to actually play the game. 😔

I am stuck at the fight with Minamoto no Youhitsune and I tried for like 10 times and I can't pass at all ...I am lvl 400 alrady and I am sure that my build is not going to be so good for dream of the wise. I can take a picture of my build and you can see how it is now. I really want to continue playing the game and I have 300 hours in it, I don't want to give up on it.

It's rough having to put so much into stamina, but I'm a huge fan of the tank and spank style of play. Having played quite a bit of DotD, ki damage and/or confusion are the two most effective things you can focus on and both of these weapon types offer that in spades.

I do not understand how you achieved this. I'm using way of the wise pieces and even on demon mode I can only achieve 40k grapple damage.

Im currently using this build in DotD. This is probably the best all-around build to handle multiple situations. I do some alterations by having Active Skill DMG as the primary stat instead of Ki DMG, because i think pure Ki DMG would be too much overkill with tonfas, and it is definitely easier to temper. I also use light armor for the head, so i invested a lot less points in Stamina and dump them on Magic for 500 Onmyou power, then on Skill for Dual Swords as an alternative. I do have some questions though. Does Melee vs Poisoned stack with Melee vs Zero-ki? addictively or multiplicatively? Diminishing return? From the tests i ran on Gozuki, using Nupeppo and Benzaiten as main dmg buffs, poison and confusion on Gozuki and Maeda crest. Grapple dmg seems to be the same 56k+ or around the same amount for both Zero-ki (37) + Poisoned (39) and only Zero Ki / Poisoned. If it really doesnt stack or having extreme diminishing return, I would change two Melee vs Poisoned for something else.

Bro u do dem best nioh 1 and 2 builds, can u do a katana build? I still use my lai quickdraw build with kingos 2 pieces malefactors with paralyze dmg. I dont want use graces builds cuz kingo was my fav set since nioh 1. I even play without confusion and still do good xd. I used your nippon steel build in nioh 1 only even when it got nerved i did all till way of wise nioh simple. Keep the good work bratan.

Way to hard to get a desired star effect and grace together. Hard enough to get a star effect in general Tried it out and not enought damage for the grind. I'll stick with Dual sword posion build

Why the Kiryoki Soul core instead of Namahage for more Melee vs Zero Ki Damage???

I’m not the biggest ninjitsu fan when it comes to poison damage so I’ll gonna focus on grapple damage. I got a god drop on a lightning Omari that gives a 18% buff to damage against electrified enemies and zero ki enemies I’ll have to reroll my yasakani for one of them. Probably wear the veterans helmet to replace the coiled snake and double specialize in constitution and courage for that beefy health. Currently farming divine gear for the long ass grind of melee ki damage on my veteran gear.

Amazing build again Pwar. In winds of ruin i can´t one shot them with leven sync. Made the same build. Only thing i do not have is on my magata is mêlee damage vs zero ki enemy. Is that the case of it you think? Please help.

I did the math on the chance of getting the star effect grace, and it came to 1/1200. 1/2 to get a divine (rounded) 1/10 to get the right grace (1/20chance) 1/10 chance to get a star effect (i think pwar said that in his grace video. Now a 1/200 chance) For medium armor graces like this build, you have a 1/6 chance to get the grace you want(1/1200).

Overall, I think your builds are the strongest I've come across. I do not stick to them exactly however they are a great starting point. Right now I'm always playing about with your grapple and Inari build. I really hope you make an odachi build. I use to find this weapon far too slow but it's quickly becoming one of my favourites. Thanks for sharing them. I really want to catch your stream next time you broadcast.

I don't know how you got both benz grace and melee ki damage on certain armour pieces and it only took you around an hour to do the whole set. Hours on a single piece and I have not managed to get to roll both skills. This must be the most maxed amour set I've seen so far.

Hey chief? I have watch this vid several times. I have grinded to get these parts. Stats. Everything except star active skill damage and my tonfa is +14 not +20. But I am not even half the damage? Grapple for me is like... 10% damage.

Got this build going minus some soul core optimization and it is a ton of fun. Beating the living crap out of revenants is hilarious and this build doesn't let anyone breath. I also love styling on enemies with the stance switching. It can be pretty tough to get as high of grapple damage as you show because you have to utilize basically every damage buff you have, but I've managed it a couple times.

I love your builds PWAR. Strange thing for me in calamity, when i deplete the ki of shuten and otakemaru, i never get the chance to grapple, because when their ki is depleted they go into dark realm. How is that?

Hey PWAR, loved your build for tonfas. So much so that I'm going to replace my own 6-piece Bens Grace and 5-piece Inari's Grace with Blue Dragon spirit with yours. But I have a question: since you've got those "Melee damage vs Poisoned enemy" perks on so much of your gear, wouldn't it also make sense to have poison on your weapon, so you can proc the damage buff more often, rather than relying on it in Winds farming only?

I've made a version of the build and I think it's the strongest build I have. However, I cannot clear winds or ruin like you can. Often the enemy jumps over the Paralysis bomb or is just not affected by it. When it works is is however a thing of beauty. Love it! :)

When copied your stats, Taira armor was requiring 17 stamina and 17 strength. How did you lower that to 8 and 8? Thanks
