End game farming. This video shows me farming Amrita. I use the three of the consumable item Saisetsu-shin's Sake. edit: this is on new game plus Nioh store.playstat...
Thanks for this video. Ended up getting to 750 yesterday morning, now I'm just working on getting everything to plus 10. All in all, once I had everything necessary, it took me about 9-ish hours to grind up to 750. Once you get past a certain point, the amount to get to the next level caps out at 10 million, so I'd average about 9 levels a run. Took maybe another hour to collect all the sake I needed using the "Three Angry Gods" mission. I know there's another grinding method out there now, too, but I found this one easier 'cause the route is pretty straightforward once you get it down.
6100 health, 197 Ki, 55.8 pounds of equipment weight (I can wear heavy equipment and still be green, though I can only stay blue with a couple pieces of medium). I had enough Samurai points to get everything with, like 400 left over. Only had 190 something ninja points and less than that for Omnyo, so I wasn't able to grab everything from those trees, but was able to get a lot. Basically maxed out what I wanted, got all the passives, then was able to get all of the 1-2 point things so I had options. I have 636 Ninja Power and 608 Omnyo power, though it honestly doesn't seem to affect much. My guardian spirit bond is at 2.8k right now, but some of that is from titles. I get about 1200 attack from an unupgraded spear. Get something like close combat damage up or change to attack (x) and it goes up even more. My defense is sitting at 1600-ish. A lot of this is stats without and pluses yet, so it'll like go up a ton more. I can already steamroll pretty much everything, including the double boss fights. I've been farming titles in Way of the Samurai right now and it's laughable.
Unfortunately, the game doesn't let you drop equipment for trading or anything. Best way anyone has figured out is purposefully dying in places so that people can fight your revenant and farm your gear, but none of the reforge stuff ever seems to pop up on the revenants and you have to be past a certain point in the game before you can start obtaining some of the better gear from revenants.
for kusarigama users, if you want to get a little more rapey use kato + fanatic armor set. hitting the bosses for like 10-20 K back damage with only carnage on (no weakness) using blade spin, per hit in the 3 hit combo. And this was in coop where they have more health. Fighting Oda + Yuki in coop you can do like 18K with carnage and I believe 24K with carnage + weakness on Oda (back damage, 10K if you do a frontal attack). Also, with my weapon at over 1600 attack, I can kill off tengu's with one blade spin.
First question- on what patch of the game u did this? Second question - why ur lvl up cost frozen on 10 millions amrita? And the third is how did u get 310 lvl on ng+?
Suzaku actually earns you more amrita if you stay in LW the entire time. It gets +30% during LW, while waifu only gets +20%, though that's everywhere. If you can't keep your living weapon up the whole time, then yeah, she's better.
get rid of spear, use kusarigama. use blade spin as your main skill. only need 2 sake per run and you get back 1 sake from the chest in this map. complete run under 6 minutes.
I just started so I'm unfamiliar with the game and the level - but I noticed a lot of people on youtube who post amrita farming videos always have someone helping them on the level. For instance, I saw one video where Sakata Kantoki was helping them beat an Oni...can someone fill me in?
That's awesome! I know you don't just get that right off the bat though. You need to get certain skills unlocked with the scrolls. I was told a good beginning guardian spirit is the shark because of the protective and healing factor. I just need to advance so I can be able to know more things. When your running through the stage and zipping here and there you make it look so easy. My play through seem to be slow and cautious. I have a job and other things to do so I don't get a chance to play as much as I like which means while I'm on the game I have to get specific things done. Really cool video!
If you're still looking for sake, the quickest farm I found was the "Three Angry Gods" mission. You literally just run from the spawn point, up the hill into the little shrine, then grab the chest in there, then himorogi fragment out and repeat. Much faster then actually completing the other missions or farming kappas.
Also the "Three Souls" much faster imo. its located right before the stairs right side of the stair, near the tengu. you can also get Himorogi Branch behind the gravestone just outside of the shrine. This is in NG+ btw.
nice, though you can do this much faster if you don't have a weak baby red demon build. there are a ton of other sets that offer a much greater damage boost face to face and if you want to see just crazy numbers you can use kingos set where with every weapons +5 and below you will see 10k+ damage ^.^ it works with any weapon you want but for best results use a sword or chain weapons.
Ooooh thank you! After rewatching the last part of the vid, the accessory your talking about is Yasakani Magatama. So thats what that special effect does. lol
Can anyone tell me what the green item are? I thought purple was the top? Obviously not lol! And how come the armour has familiarity? At the end of the third region
ivory7777 I think Jim and I might be on similar builds, I also use an "unlimited LW" build as part of my critical health build. the main key is suzaku (guardian) at level 30 it gains 31% amrita during LW so then roll amrita% on your gear and put on LW duration or durability charms and bam. idk his build tho, just giving you half of mine
Greg can you go into any more detail on your critical health build? Why is critical health important? Is it somehow crucial to keeping LW up indefinitely?
Vik Shtrum the health for me fuels guardian, and has major damage multipliers here's a build guide, www.reddit.com/r/Nioh/comments/5v0yb0/critical_health_build_room_for_improvement_and/
Vik Shtrum also vik, keep weapon indefinitely is all about amrita gain, the Phoenix gains 30% during living weapon, so stack that with amrita gear and on kill you get so much your bar jumps back to full
I think he just got lucky. I stumbled on mine during "Trail of the Master." Unfortunately, using this guy's method, I cap out around 65 million amrita. He super lucked out with the amrita during living weapon skill on the Yasakani Magatama. It's already rare enough is just to get the thing, let alone get it with the skill you want.
I actually took the time to farm out a Yasakani Magatama with Amrita Boost (while using living weapon. It took roughly two hours using the "Trail of the Master" triple loot method. I'm glad I did, with the full bonuses, now, along with joining Tokugawa for the amrita bonus, I usually end up right around 90 million a run.
BelphDies Alot not necessarily since people post old videos. Nevertheless, I tried it last night and, for my items, I managed to maintain it as long as I am killing something. Just hitting them did not do it, I assume because of the nerf. Thanks Belph for the response.
agusis01 he had talismans that he was using to make it a lot better... he could have at least shown the build... all it takes is a lot of Amrita earned or Amrita earned from yokai, if it's a divine item it's so much better since that attribute is being levelled up
I'm pretty sure he goes through all of his equipment at the end of the video. You can also just look at his hotbars on the equip screen to see what talismans he has equipped. Other bonuses should be somewhat obvious (increased amrita/living weapon increase/anything that increases damage/anything in critical state).
Took me about 9 hours to reach level 750. Accounting for load times and sake farming, as well as needing to offload a bunch of equipment to the blacksmith every few runs.
Justin Olds yeah fuck it I'll be doing this later on before they start patching stuff up but I would love to have his build cause it seems his LW is off the hook
Whenever you gain Amrita the LW recharges to full, so just kill a enemy an boom, back to full. you can also use any size of the crushable amrita thingies to regenerate it to full. His build is top notch though, i still dont have that charm yet for my build. & i'm only 275
Only 275? lmao im 160 :D and i already got the yasakani makatama x4 still farming them cuz havent got one with Amrita earned from LW , how come you havent got one yet ? o.o
yoko yokome its a random divine drop. I farmed Trail of the Master for about 2 hours and got one. There's a body that spawns an accessory that you can hit three times in one run to up your chances.
am level 320 and i only get 65 million using the sake and other those stuff but i just wanna know how the fk did he kept the living weapon stay longer and secound how the fk dose he do that damage am using a sword i changed to spear after this bought everything about spear and guess what nothing happen every time i hit a yokai i only deal 1000 only tell me tell me how
I couldn't get this to work until I respecced to about 60 spirit and the rest in skill (my spear scales with skill). After that, I just farmed up pretty much all of the gear pieces he had. The trick is in two things, the first being that the sets he wears have a lot of Boost X (Critical), where his attack/defense goes way up when you have less than 30% health, which is constant if you make sure you're under 30% health before you trigger living weapon. He gets multiple set bonuses from the Yasakani Magatama. The second trick is that he has amrita boosts in his armor, but his accessories have Amrita Gained while using Living Weapon, which with the two of them, gets a good 50-60 percent extra amrita all on their own. Between the massive amount of amrita you'll be getting with that and the Sake bonus, the only time LW drops is on the elevator ride up to Nobunaga. As a side note, having power pills and carnage talismans for the boss rush portion makes that go a lot smoother.
For the damages, I think its because he put his life in critical before transforming to living weapons (at the end, he shows a set bonus that boost his damage +30% when his life is low). For the living weapon, I'm also wondering, I don't see any bonus on his stuff that can keep it up for so long
I put a few points into "Living Weapon Duration" in the Omnyo tree, which helps initially. Other than that, I just had spirit about 60 and Suzaku maxed out at 30. Between those two, I was able to keep it up for pretty much the entire run, though the first few I did I had to pop a soulstone halfway 'cause I didn't have the route down. My first few runs, I maxed out spirit and things became quite a bit easier.
I also think it is because of the marita fill bonus with Suzaku when you are critical, that explain why he goes in critical before goiing into living weapon, plus the 30% dmg bonus with his set
you got some weak gear for that level. Throw on some more luck and grab some luck talismans so you can at least farm more +4/5 divines from this mission as well.
the "Three Souls". its located right before the stairs right side of the stair, near the tengu. you can also get Himorogi Branch behind the gravestone just outside of the shrine. This is in NG+ btw.
nice vid but i dont like those noob modes. playing like this makes the game looking like a walk in the park. so never using the living weapon is much more fun
It does, but you end up with far less amrita (I think 8-9 million or so?). It can boost you a few levels to help in NG+, but in general it's better to wait to do the farm until NG+ since it's way more efficient.
NG definitely gives green drops, so that doesn't automatically make this NG+, however at the end when he shows equipment you can see the recommended level is 310, so definitely NG+
