Yuki-onna. "Snow woman". Stories on Yuki-onna vary on her morality. The spirit of a woman who perished in a snowstorm, she has been said to freeze travelers into statues of ice, or bury them under snow. Another story states that she once let a small boy go because of his youth, in exchange that he never tell anyone about her. Later in life, he told his wife about the lady who save him from the cold, only for his wife to reveal that she was Yuki-onna.
Another myth is that she will appear to random stranger and ask you to hold her child. But its a trap or should i say a test, because the child is a wrapped bundle of snow but if you put it down she will kill you.But if you don't hold on the burden she will give you strength and bless you.
Titanium Ursa I remember watching an episode of this Japanese show called "100 Tales of Horror" about the Yuki-Onna and this Yōkai's pretty interesting.
Now playing Nioh 2 and getting to see Princess Noh & Nobunaga before they died(and getting to the mission where they do..) damn it adds so much context to this & her closing scene. Yuki onnas definitely one of my all time favorite bosses
@@DRKLRD-kv4cm Yeah. Its a prequel, your character aids Nobunaga while hes alive, whose long dead in Nioh 1(before hes revived at least for William to fight)
Acording to Japanese mythology, Yuki-Onna is the most beatiful woman in history of human kind and she apears in cold winter windflares to misguide or kill the travelers....
And then of course every time I fight her she is literally constantly on top of me to the point where I can't even heal. I noticed she also didn't do her spinning sickle attack, that usually one shots me. I notice she hardly did her ice projectile attack, which of course also always seems to always kill me in one cast. Not to take anything away from your video but I just love watching other people fight bosses I'm stuck on because it always seems like when I fight them it's a totally different encounter
omg so funney comment hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah like how everything else ties in as well. They definitely mastered consistency lol only difference I find very confusing is how different hideyoshi looks from the first game to tokichiro (who's supposed to be hideyoshi) lol
Lady No, also known as Kicho, was the wife of Oda Nobunaga, a major daimyo during the Sengoku period of Japanese history. Her proper name was Kichō, but since she came from Mino Province, she is most commonly referred to as Nōhime ("Lady of Mino"; hime means "lady, princess, woman of noble family"). She was renowned for her beauty and cleverness. Nōhime's father was the daimyo Saito Dosan and her mother was known as Omi no Kata. Nō herself appears very little in any historical record, and there is not a lot of information on the dates of her birth or death; however, proposed dates for her birth fall in 1533-1535. It says that Because Lady No cannot give birth a child so when Lady Kitsuno, concubine of Oda Nobunaga give birth to Oda Nobutada the child was given to Lady No to be raised as Nobunaga's Heir.
@@curtismehana4231 lady noh was born to the official wife of Saito Dosan Omi no Kata. Hide and Yoshitatsu were born to Miyoshino, his concubine/lover. Im not really sure.
@@Minamoto_1 Noh: if only I had hides power Hide: b***h get your own powers Fast forward to nioh 1 Noh: I did what you said brother William: yeah....not for long 🤣🤣
Yuki is absolutely one of my favorite bosses in this game, and in the Soulsbourne/Nioh style of games in general. The music, the emotion, her varied attacks, definitely a memorable boss battle
No, I guess he just has other stats. I focus on damage more so things can be more interesting while he seems to focus more on defense. He doesn't do so much damage, keep an eye on her health bar
she's one of those bosses that can still rock your world even if you're experienced in the game, you can't just rush her down, Hino Enma is like that too
Hino Emma was a complete nightmare for me 🤣🤣 so now at every 10th level I go back to destroy her for personal satisfaction 🤣 it took me 2 attempts on yuki onna but it took me like all of 1 day for hino Emma 🤣
@@curtismehana4231 yeah, i recently fought hino enma again in ng+ and couldn't help but wonder how tf did i beat her in my first playthrough without dying like 50 times
I cheesed the boss fight after dying like 12 times. What I did was use sloth, lowered her defense with a talisman (forgot what it was called), and used fire amulet. I dropped her down to like 70% health and cheesed the remaining health with my last Sloth and kept on throwing shit at her till she dies.
for once, Nohime isn't a thot. Also, her dual boss battle with Nobunaga confirmed this specific Yuki-Onna's true identity is indeed Nohime, he said "Come, Lady No" before the battle
Neptune/Purple Heart in Neptunia; Ciel in Mega Man Zero; Lisa in the Japanese dub of Genshin Impact; Sesshouin Kiara in Fate/EXTRA CCC and Fate/Grand Order; Rosetta/Rose Queen in Granblue Fantasy; Murata Himeko in the Japanese dub of Honkai Impact 3rd; Duke of York and Neptune/Purple Heart in Azur Lane; Kirijou Mitsuru in Persona 3, Persona 4 Arena and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle; and Yuki-onna and Nouhime in Nioh and Nioh 2 ... yup, that's Tanaka Rie.
the key to winning this fight- ki management. look at your ki bar if you have to for most of the fight, especially after combo-ing and dodging. your ki has to be on its full potential to execute ki pulse perfectly. then the other thing to win on this fight... DISTANCE DISTANCE DISTANCE on 2nd phase. only hit her after she fails at stabbing you, just like the video. then dodge and/or block the projectiles while in the 2nd phase also. the problem with me and her was that I was so used to playing bloodborne (I played it again on NG+6 in my skill build right before playing nioh... so I naturally just don't block. I had to get in the habit of blocking, especially with this boss. you don't block= you die
Help. Please! Been stuck on this for 2 days. No joke. Having trouble with 2 attacks. First when she lunges at you from a distance. The second one is the projectile attack where she shoots 3 at a time in 3 or four successive bursts.
Had huge problems with this boss died like 20+ times... Then i realized you can parry the ice projectiles and it takes like no Stamina/Ki to parry them... She becomes a joke after you realize that
You need to helpful info of her weaknesses, not just hey look I beat her. Anyway that would be helpful, is she weak to fire? probable. is there a good set of armour to wear? a certain charm to put on? weak to a certain weapon or boost?
What do you mean switchglaive lol ? Thats naginata. You can see her using naginata in the cutscene where she burns with Oda, the fact that you get her switchglave is just because that was the closest to naginata in the game. She also used naginata in real life. If im correct switchglaive wasnt even a thing in Japan, game just included it as the weapon used by Sohaya clan to hunt yokai.
that's to "what" . Yukionna is a species of the yokai. As for "who" she is specifically she is actually Kicho, more known as Nohime, Nobunaga's wife. The butterfly in her death scene implies her real name, "cho" from kicho means butterfly.
I like oyuki from this classic manga urusei yatsura (it's in her name) and this Yuki onna kind of looks her but she gives me the chills (no pun intended) cuz it's like oyuki went from total cartoony 2d to hyper realistic 3D.(I know video game graphics have evolved but looking more realistic just gives me the creeps.(no offense to guys here who thinks she's hot)
