You read that correctly! We we're driving the Nissan 350z HR and experienced something pretty bad. I'm still unsure if there is any further damage, but I'll be diving into it in the next video. Stay tuned for the update!
Also, an update on the Mx5 Miata is coming soon! We had to take it in for extensive maintenance and I am hoping it's not going to cost too much! fingers crossed

I heard that depending on the infraction, in your case you paid $202.00, The complaint stays on record for the life of the car. It does not go away! If you should get pulled over for the same offense, The fine doubles!! Again, someone gets pulled over, gets state reffed and the fine would be $500.00, you pay it rather than correct it, You get pulled over again for the same reason, it's a $1000.00 the next time! Regarding the miata, i had a vague rattle, turned out to be the timing belt being completely saturated with oil from a leaky main seal. Mechanics told me they didnt even have to loosen the tensioner and could just take the belt right off..... Might wanna get that checked :D regarding the squeal, sounds like a stuck pully maybe? Not hearing any lifter tick on yours though, thats great :)

No 4 wheel car has blind spots you may think you do is because your mirrors aren’t moved over enough. Side mirrors isn’t for you to see what’s behind you that’s what the rear view mirror is for you should have a full panorama view of what’s behind

Lifter tick on the Miata. Very common. Just re-shimmed a buddies Miata recently. The valves aren’t sealing and that could be why it’s struggling to idle.

Part of just living in California unfortunately. I live in OC and my Z has ART pipes and an Invidia Gemini. Just waiting for my day where a cop decides it’s my time to get a state ref.

It sounds like the tappets could be going out on the miata, If you put some thicker oil in it the sound should be gone, l would say it could also be an ecu problem as you say, There are a lot of things it could be As the mech said it could be a bearing most likely, Miata engines are built pretty tough so I doubt it's anything serious

Looks like a cover near the catalytic converter, I’d say you’re fine, but you might want to get it checked out by a trusted shop.

hey johnny im looking into buying a z roadster and i found 2 good options that im stuck between one has 50k miles in black completely stock but i also found other with 30k miles and its silver also stock but this one is about 3500 more dollars do you think i should save more money and wait a bit longer and buy this one

Honestly, in my honest opinion I would say to check out the black one. The DE engines are pretty good and reliable, but Nissan did little tweaks with the DE over the years to fix tiny issues with earlier models and it’s the last year of DE before they made the HR engine for 07-08. Plus, 50k miles is nothing on these engines. Good maintenance and care will last 200k-250k. Just get it looked over to double check everything is in good working order. Finally, with that extra 3,500 you can save, you could use for any mods or upgrades you want for your Z journey.
