Originally reserved the Passion Red. Been waiting almost a year and half. Nissan called mid March saying if I still wanted red I would have to wait even longer, end of year or next. Had to switch colors. That was a week before they sent the fleet of Passion Red to that press event in CA as a giant F U to everyone they just called.

Thanks guys! I test drove a Model Y Performance a few months ago and I got to say the seats are comfortable but not very supportive. One just moves too much side to side when getting on it. Seats are just too slippery for my liking.

For that big of a Car, I would think it would have a Frunk like the MY. I don't use it a lot but when I do it really saves the day.

@Tom_O I have had to help family members move and the rear hatch was packed with a bookcase and other items to the point where I didn't want to open the hatch for fear things would fall out. So I was able to put our luggage in the Frunk, and when we stopped at hotels, I could just get luggage out of the Frunk without disturbing anything else. I also put valuables in it and not risk someone seeing them in the back and smashing the windows to get them.

no one uses the frunk, so instead Nissan used that space for drive train, and left the space in between the driver and passenger open.

No it doesn’t need a frunk it doesn’t need to copy Tesla . I would never use the frunk.

@@alejandromoreno5056 given that it is not a bench front seat, you can only have 2 people so what are you using the foot space for, to put items that can get tangled up with the drivers foot?

Cloth seats are great during the summer and winter. Leather/vinyl seats are unforgiving during the hot and cold months.

When you guys are old and stiff and have an aching back, you will appreciate sitting higher! Low slung cars are miserable to ride in, and to try to get in and out of! 😂

I drove an ID4 for a few days, plastics were garbage, there was a serious window trim alignment issue and the screens just looked awful. Also very bad placement of the phone charger which only has one inductive place... I can't imagine Nissan being much worse, though Nissan is typically cheaper materials than vw....

My family own these 3 cars(sort of). Still waiting on the reserved ariya platinum and the model Y is the performance version. Out of the 3 cars the one I personally dislike is the tesla. The front is too bland like the designer took a spatula and smacked the front of the car and called a day. Interior is much the same. One big center screen and nothing else. And to make it worse you cant work on the car or buy parts for it if you want to fix it yourself which is a no no for me. In terms of power it is fast I have to admit but I appreciate a car that looks like a car inside and out. Also the 7500k tax credit doesnt apply to everyone. It is based on income. The ariya top trim if reserved will be 59k not 63k.

@@sourcherryplum Both are good cars. The ariya now has 10k on it without any issues. Id4 has 5k. One of the main difference is the interior. Ariya interior regarding material is nicer than the id4. id4 has plastic pieces and ariya has a lot of alcantera stitching. Ariya windows are thicker and is quieter.

I just traded my Kia E Niro for a Model Y Performance, with the Tesla price cut, and the great trade in on the Kia it was a no brainer. Tesla was $55,000 and I can’t imagine paying more for the Nissan, VW, or even the Kia. After a week driving it, it’s just better than the rest. Yes the interior is bare bones, economy car, but it’s my everyday commuter car. If I want more I take out my Porsche GT4.

These car reviews are becoming more like cell phone reviews only comparing tech specs without actual knowledge of the product. Great example is the focus on the 130kw max charge rate. What they don't say or worse know is the area under the curve is very impressive. The Ariya will hold 90+kw all the way to 90%. My new Evolve+ awd crushes my old Model Y 4680. I just drove from Minneapolis to Kanas City without any issues, I was able to get 255 miles before my first charge. This was from 98% to 15% when I stopped, 26 minutes later I had added 48kw. This is far superior to my old Tesla in all areas. Go drive one and don't listen to these RU-vid spec monkeys.

Owning both a Model S and a 3, I can tell you Tesla’s UI isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Before instating the defroster, wiper buttons, they Willy nilly removed these buttons in favor of games, and other nonsense. Finally it dawned on them that people really hated not having access to critical features that might endanger safety. They brought them back. They have this huge, totally unnecessary animation of the car on the road. Within a single display that you have to turn your head to see what you are doing, taking your eyes off the road. My S feels much better with two screens. Next, the right steering wheel button in the 3 that 99% of the time is not used. It simply adjusts the follow distance when your AP is engaged. They could have done what the S scroll wheel does - allows you to customize activity like volume, fan speed, temp, etc etc. when you press it. Nope.👎👎👎 Lastly, they should have provided at least an optional heads up display. CHEAP TESLA. 😕

100% agree. Even without tax incentives factored, while ID4 is solid, I personally would go Tesla, ID4, then Ariya. With tax incentives factored, the Ariya is not even close for most people 😂

After having a M3, a MY, and an ID4 now, I laugh at people cruising their Teslas with new temp plates wondering how long it’ll take them to become annoyed of the scam that is Tesla.

Ariya has way more features, way nicer styling, in and out, and up to 390 hp and 400 + lbs/ft of torque. you can charge up to 80% in 40 mins. People who drive the Tesla say it has a super stiff suspension, plus not every one is a fan of their boring, bland interiors

@@alejandromoreno5056 Agreed. I can't speak to ID.4 because I haven't looked into it very much, but high trim level Ariya is a better value than model Y. The Ariya likely is more durable and has higher build quality, and has strong driving quality, speed, and tech that comes standard (compared to Tesla where you need to pay up for more robust autopilot). I'm not a Tesla-basher. I think the Model 3 is a great car, but the Y feels like a grift.

I received Model Y recently everything is excellent but I feel that the accelerator pedal is too hard to press. This is not the case when I did a test drive on the Demo vehicle. Do any settings need to change to smoothen the pedal? Any suggestions or Do need to raise a service request or this is the expected behavior?

Review summary: The new Nissan Leaf. I knew the engineering on this car was poor, but had assumed the quality would be better. Disappointed that it is in line with my cousin’s Murano. Why people buy Nissan is beyond me.

I’d take the Model Y with ID4 suspension. I have a MY, test drove an ID4. I prefer the MY interior. Cleaner, nicer materials for me. Ariya trumps them both for interior quality.

I own an Ariya Engage the least expensive trim. As for the cabin noise, ID4 and MY have no idea how quiet it is in Ariya. To me, it shows the build quality.

1 nissan ariya looks better 2 its wery quiet, it has laminated glass around. Seat are more confotable than id4 and tesla. Back seat are realy conf for 3 adults. Instead id 4 no place for 3 people , the climate controls in the back is idiotic, on the floor😂😂 Climate seats in ariya much better than id4 Seats in ariya are perforatet, of natural leather,wenn you don't like them you can choose parth lether and velvet seats with memory foam, you dont sweat in this seats . Other two have artificial leather seats. You have a panoramic roof that opens In nissan arya you have in base head up display ,werry good one, option in id 4 , no chance in tesla. Back doors in id 4 are of the cheapest plastic i've ever seen. Buttons are idiotic, slides for clima and sound , idiotic. Gearchanger in id 4 - a strap on in nissan is a normal one, tesla hmm ... tentation is queit bizare.sond in nissan is a performant Bose, tesla a regular one And the last. Id 4 in full option, as nissan here in Switzerland is 74 000 francs, extreme expensive. Arya -56 with awd and 400 horse power Actualy id 4 is a regular garbage that vw are trying to push on them that they are seating in a golf II . Is not , ... looks bad, hideous interior, dumb comands... as all the time they spent more on adwertising and marketing as on engeneers and developers.wenn you don't like nissan , buy Tesla, much better, or bmw ix3, ,wonderfull choice sxkoda enyaq, but id 4 .... lets say.... Nice try VW.

I love all EVs, so take this where’s its coming from. Just watch yourselves in that ID4, the Ariya is worth more. That tiny screen, with the poor tech and subpar interior. You don’t believe me, why did he already need to cover it up with that cheap material? Also, you can’t even buy that top trim Ariya, the ones for sale are around $44k. As for the Y, it doesn’t even have an interior. It’s empty. Someone that’s interested in a Teslas isn’t the same buyer as an Ariya. Ariya buyers want traditional car stuff. Door handles, buttons and comfort. The government can keep the EV welfare check too. If you can’t afford an EV you shouldn’t buy one. Those welfare checks are giving EVs a stigma and ICE hate.

I don't disagree with most of this, but I'm not sure a traditional car buyer wants the Ariya. It replaced most of it's buttons either with the screen or with the capacitive touchpoints that are fake buttons that don't feel like buttons lol. People don't really love those in the ID.4, not sure they'll love them in the Ariya.

Plus it kills me when Kyle complains about the Aryia charge speed when he had rave reviews when he drove the id 4 from Florida to Colorado with 125 kw speed. It was designed 2 years ago it is inline .

1st. You bias to German cars is showing. The VW has the stupid windows buttons, the stupid climate controls...but you gush over it like it the best car ever. 2nd You really hate Japanese cars, which is a shame, my 2014 Lexus IS felt better quality than 2014 BMW, better plastics, better leather, better headliner... you do a lot of generalizations. I owned a few Infinitis and a few Lexus, fitst the all felt different. My FX50 felt much better than the QX60, which was very disappointing, I drove several Lexus, and again a CT200 is nothing like the IS let alone the GS or LS.
