Another informative video guys 🤙. It’s weird how Nissan released different Navara engines in different countries. Here in Australia the D 22 was the 3 litre ZD up until 2008. I have a 2008 2.5 D22 yd 25 Navara and it looks a fair bit different to the one in ur video. Myne still has the aluminium timing chain cover like that one but the fuel pump is higher up and the bay is a lot more crowded. Myne was made in Japan (vin no. Starts with jpn.) I have replaced the exhaust manifold, the big end seal ,the suction control valve, the transfer case seal and the injectors. I have also blanked the egr, installed a catch can, a secondary 2 micron fuel filter and a 3 inch exhaust with cat delete. If nothing else having a Nissan Navara has taught me a lot about working on a diesel. Your videos help heaps cheers!🤙🤙🤙 happy new year.
Hi west yorkshire how do you fix an injector knock on a yd25 D40 Navara i changed all 4 injectors i got the injectors from a path finder but it now have a knocking sound
If you ever have problem like that again the filter inside of the high pressure pump is normally to blame, is an Alan key bolt on side of pump and is a mesh filter

Hi... I have Nissan frontier 2005 yd 25, electric diesel pump and normal injectors, when i start the engine is running normal after a while the check engine sign comes on and white smoke start coming, also lost the engine power, when turn the engine off and start it the check engine sign leave and the engine running back normally, and than the error will come back after a while, I have changed all filters , clean diesel tank, use original system cleaners still have the same problem. Is it fuel pump failure ? need to be replaced or there are any more reasons for this case, Your help please. My best regards....
hello, 2006 model yd25 engine was rebuilt except for the fuel pump, the crank sensor was broken during assembly and we replaced it with a new equivalent brand, the engine is working properly but after a while the fault light is lit with error code 0077 p07, what is your advice.
hey mate, fan of yours, you helped me out big time with my shitbox pathfinder rebuild, bloody transmission is playing up now, drives fine till it gets to 4th then sticks in fourth gear, turn it off start it up its fine drive again gets to fourth, stuck agian, its a 2006 2.5 pathfinder auto, any suggestions? not that clued up on autos mate, thinking solenoid valve bank? your thoughts, cheers, mark.
When i travel w/ approx distance of 80kms and stop and let my D40 idle for more than 40mins it losses power and emit excessive black smoke, so i have to shut off the engine and have it cool for about one hour to regain its usual power..what is the real source of the problem?

Hey guys, you seem to have a lot of experience with Nissan, I have a problem with a 2006 pathfinder diesel, automatic. When it's in auto/4*4 while driving, the engine dies if I take my foot off the gas to brake, doesn't happen in 2*4, happens while at speed so no servos anymore, really dangerous to drive, 2 mechanics don't know what's wrong. No error codes, had a busted turbine reconditioned, DPF changed(aftermarket), battery is new, fluids are checked. What could be wrong?

Hey mate just replaced my IP on a nissan caravan with a zd30di now its giving me a fault code 0702 tdc timing pulse but it runs beautifully I have replaced the fuel filter as it was full of slim. Could the pick up be block and give me this fault or is it a timing issue ? I'm quite confident that it is timed correctly
can i ask please i am striping down a nissan cabstar with yd25 engine, i set the cams at dtc but when i try to put the a 6mm locking pin in the fuel pump it does not seem to go in far not as deep as i see you push the screw driver in on the engine on the stand , should the locking pin go in a long way thanks
@@westyorkshireengineservice9160 Hi mate I think got the same problem in your video.when I put ignition on ive got like a crackling noise coming from pump but when started revs on idle might go up and down but driving wise no problem then when warm idles spot on Thanks for replying
luke cooper he used a scan tool. It plugs into the ecu and the ecu tells the scan tool exactly where the fault is. U can get cheap scan tools of eBay for like 30 bucks that Bluetooth to your phone ( need the app to) . They’re called obd scan tools.

I am currently working in all kind of cars brands and i dont like the way of famous brands making there products worst and worst in maintenence...while Chinese products improve day after day and there price are really challenging
