Thanks alot I've had my misfire on and off for months Everybody is telling me to switch to OEM coil pack but its $1100 for them at the dealership And the mechanic shop I hang out at got that scan tool but I guess they didn't know about that setting

Finding a misfire can be tricky, depending on the tools and knowledge you have. Cylinder drop testing isn't always easy, especially if more than one is misfiring or if it's caused by a lean condition... Nice example Eric!

Nice video. I have a 2016 Rogue 2.5L with P0300 right now first I had P0301 & P0300 with high vibration and hefty misfires. Swapped coils 1 & 2 but no change in codes. Swapping 1 & 2 plugs gave P0302. Changed the plug and one day later got a P0303. Changed all plugs and now getting P0300. Car is running much better with new plugs but has rough idle and will throw ck engine light at idle. Seems to have plenty of power. After seeing your video I found my handheld Autel scanner can monitor misfires. Cylinders 1 & 2 show none but both cylinders 3 & 4 have ever increasing misfires as I go in and out of the charts. This car has only 4,500 miles on it so wondering if that is some clue? Any idea where to look next? Thanks-Mike

looking at a 2007 xterra right now with a snap-on Verus, the generic obd2 codes are all different than shown here and none show misfire counts. Nissan is obnoxious.

General question, on a 2015 pathfinder Iam getting all cylinders misfires, up to around 6 each one, no codes whatsoever, but these are very hard jerks, u would think the tranny about to fall out, only at low rpms , otherwise fine, I could drive cross country np, Only 51,000, miles, I would assume plugs first? , any experienced Nissan guys comments, greatly appreciated

Can you do this with an Autel mx808?

It might be useful if you were to walk to the engine and point out which cylinder is number one and which one was number four

The snap-on modis ultra scan tool doesn't have that option it doesn't do it this the only future is missing misfire counts

What kind of scan tool do I need in order to obtain that kind of info?

Couldn't you just unplug the coils to figure which cylinder it is you know a power balance test

The main cause to vehicle problems is because of lack of maintenance and when there are problems no one wants to pay any money to fix a problem.
