In this Video I go through the process of showing how to reprogram a Nissan ecu from start to finish.

No problem matt, its not easy when you first start programming.. and even nerve racking when you first perform a ecu update.. but alls well thhat ends when.:)

Interesting, never really thought reprogramming a car would become a necessity to remove a check engine light. Glad you got the teaching job.

yah there are time when you get erroneous dtcs that just pop up lol.. it happens quite often on newer vehicles, but you normally don't see it after in dealers after the warranty periods are done. thanks for watching chris.

thanks for the video, i do not get the unpack application when i download the file. has the other 3 files that you have in your folder but not the unpack. have you ran into that issue

Thank you so much for this information, I have a 2015 Nissan urvan nv350, 2.5 turbo diesel. I have a issue where the ecm lost memory of injector codes. I took it to the dealer they put them back in but 2 wks later they are gone again. So I am going to purchase a new ecm but it needs to be programmed. So I am thinking about the program, but thank you so much for tutorials

Hey great video. I wanted to know what is the benefits of using either Ners or consult 3 r2r. over each other? And which would be the preferred choice when doing a reflash. Thank you

the r2r can only be used with a cardaq mongoose or the cardaq 3 so for basic tcm/pcm programming you need the ners software. thanks for watching

awesome video!! few questions what application are you using to unzip the program files ex: (winrar) i believe its called ? also lets say we finished programming a ecu for a nissan do i delete the old files DAT CSV FILES before i do another nissan or infiniti ecu or tcm module? or will the new files overide what was previously in nissan software. thank you so much keep up the great work!

keep the files so you dont have to purchase them again.. copy and and paste when needed.

First off congratulations on the going full time on your own and of course the teaching. From my point of view that can only mean good things for future videos. One question. In some other videos I've seen for reprogramming they talk about partitioning their laptops for different manufacturers. Has that been your experience?

I've seen that also but I have yet to have any issues, I even use the fords fjds and Mazda's j2534 software on the same laptop with no issues(yet lol). I was just thinking of having external hdd's for each, keeps it cleaner, and les partitions will keep your computer running smother as it does not need to look in other drives in order to operate properly.

Got a question for you. I have a used Nissan ECU that has a lock on it. I tried to reprogram the VIN with my Maxisys Elite to no avail. Will the Nissan Tool help me with this?

it might.. but im not 100% certain. the vin should beable to be changed but if the aftermarket cannot do it I would try the oem software first.

Do you know if you can calibrate a distance sensor for a pathfinder with this? Can you erase any trouble codes too?

this program is only for programming and can not erase dtcs. as for programming distance sensors, which do you mean, The ultrasonic sensors in the bumper?

@@JLsAutoSolution Yea, I went in to a small ditch and that got damaged. So I replaced the sensor but I think the DTC needs to be cleared first. Does that sound right?

I have a 2010 Infiniti M35X. It looks like most of the vin was erased and the key fob wasn't properly programed. It's doesn't start or crank. I just ordered a new Autel Im508. Any suggestions or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

make sure you have the proper key for the vehicle, as Nissans are temperamental. also make sure there is no other issues on the vehicle

Thank you very much for the video. Wanted to ask, is this procedure used also to sync a used ECU to a diffrent car which had a faulty ECU? I think that also ECU cloning is sometimes used for that instead of programming with OEM software, and is done tuning software like KESS or KTag, but I'm researching both as I'm not sure if cloning won't pass over the problems of the faulty ECU to the new one. Very much appriciated if anyone can throw a bone, a bit of a newbie to programming, since our locksmiths focus on Immo only, but we had many request to fix a car that won't start due to an ECU replacement, and obviously it's not to do with the immobilizer, thanks again.

I have another video coming out doing exact what you are asking. As for kess a ktag ktag is used for on bench programming with a bdm and kess is used with the obd2 port, now from my knowledge if you use kess to copy the data there is a possibility that the checksum will no be performed which then you will need to use ktag in order to perform the checksum on the file befor installation. As for immo issues- it really depends on the vehicle. some can be relearned very easily while others are a little more complicated. thanks for watching

Hey mate. I deal with Nissan patrols and use Nissan Data Scan to adjust timing and do work support ect. I really want full functionality of the propper Consult program. Is there Anything out there, software or scan tool that does what consult 3 does?

Buy the mongoose for nissan from drew (500$ cad) and then purchase the consult3 r2r- its not perfect but it still works(

yes, but only on certain models, you need to verify if the vehicles ecu is a (otp) One time Programming.

You can not do it with consult 3 plus? You have to pay $350 then/$450 now to download NERS and program a blank ECM for Nissan? Today I paid $40 for 24 hours access consult 3 plus 2r2 to program a 2018 Altima ECM and didn't give the option for programming or reprogramming. Do you know why? Thank you.

As long as it's a j2534 yes. But it has limited functionality with the OEM software but ok for the reprogramming software

did you download it if so check your downloads file and also check the downloads section of the the web browser you should be able to locate it in one of those places.

Can I just use a regular cable or do I specifically need the J2354? I was wondering if I can just program it from the software from my laptop once I get it but I’m having trouble finding my ECU # when I type in the first 5 or the last 5 vice versa no options popping up. I’m stuck!

@@JLsAutoSolution I bought a refurbished valve body and when hooked up to my scanner I get the ecu part number but when I put it in to the Nissan tech page to get the files nothing shows up
