How to install ''Push Start Button'. Very easy step by step guide on how to install a push start into 'Nissan Micra K12' Thank you for all your support stay safe & stay blessed.
Very helpful Video. Was wondering what type of wire you spliced into the starter wire? I have the same issue and need to bypass the relay, have the same kit but I'm worries if I use to thin a wire it will burn out.
Hi thank you for your positive response, we are glad that this video was informative to you. I used 14 gauge wire which is 20amp, As your right I didn’t want the wire to burn out 👍
I had the same problem with my key I could not continue does the key work for all other things like the door lock and all other things. My solution was as happened under the steering wheel loosen the hood and mount a pressure switch then connect the correct wires of the starter lock then make contact with the key but do not turn but press the button and the engine starts. Everything just stays there so no headlight loose or anything. But without starter key it does not work. Suc6
Fantastic video! I think I have the exact same problem and this would solve it. Just a question about the spliced additional wire: is it 14 gauge AWG or British (i.e 0.08in thick) and is it literally just an insulated copper wire cut to length, nothing fancy? Sorry, I've little experience with this stuff in general.
Good morning, sorry about the late reply… I would recommend 18 gauge wire (when buying this just mention that it is to power up your starter motor via push start) 👍 All the best.. Ps we used a wire that we had spare (I can’t remember the exact wire as it’s been so long but it was nothing fancy 👍)
@@zabzproject1416 Thanks for replying, I know it's been a good while since you uploaded the vid! Any advice on insulating the spliced connection? Much appreciated
@@ollierusk hi, no worries at all… just make sure you get a decent connection & it’s well protected for the future.. Any other help please let us know 👍
Where in the country are you guys ??? I have the same prob , I’m scared to take to mechanics in case they charge me too much . I’d love bring my car to you guys for a cost of course.
Is there any way to do this without using the ignition barrel like having a push start ignition system I'm guessing that you would need the transponder chip aswell to over the immobilizer situation aswell 🤔
Salaam, might be a bit of a rubbish question. But the red wire that was going to the starter motor, did you have to disconnect it from something or anything to feed it to the glove box?
Wa laykum as salaam, I added an additional wire that ran into the interior and connected to the red wire from fuse box, so pls make sure you splice that wire rather then cutting it, JZK
It’s too bypass the fuse box & the benefit of having the key is too make sure that no one is able to start the car just by pushing the start button. So the key acts as an immobiliser.... this is obviously just a cheaper option but you can always spend more money & buy a complete kit which will illuminate having a key 👍
Hello mate. I’ve just landed on your video and I have two questions please if you can help. With the box that come with the button it has 2 blue cables, a red and black you connected one blue cable to the red starter extension cable where does the other blue go? And with the cigarette positive and negative just to confirm the green is the pos and black is negative? Thanks
Hi one blue wire connects from the starter relay behind the fuse box to push start wire (we used the red wire shown in the video to blue wire on the push start box), which is the signal sender. Red & blue (together) is positive feed & black is negative feed. Please check your own push start instructions as they will be different coloured wires for different purposes. Hope this helps
@@zabzproject1416good day bro they have 4 wire in box. They have 2 blue wire and 1 red and black. Which 1 bridge into the fuse box which in the 2 blue?
Luckily I had a spare push start kit but you should be able to buy one under £20 from eBay and wiring isn’t that bad. Unless your looking at a trading prospective then you’ll have to do some number crunching & see if it’s worth doing it to your car or not 👍
@@eazilyunreal2701 I wouldn’t do that if I were you lol, that could burn the motor (hence the relay in between)... if you can get a fusible wire to give it a 12v that would be safer. I.e. a wire with fuse in between to be safer 👍
Hi there , i need help The engine just stop running itself and i try to change the all sensors but the car can start for 1 to 2 minutes than goes off itself Please what can i do ? Help
@@zabzproject1416 the diagnostic come up with P0223 and P0123 I replaced the crank sensor and camshaft sensor , but the engine still checking for few minutes and stop itself
@@zabzproject1416 and I tried to change an oxygène sensor with maf sensor, but the engine run for 1 or 2 minutes than stop itself again So I tried even to check the timing chain nothing at all but the engine keep swinging and doesn't run Please help me and thanks in advance
Hi it depends on what kind of push start you get, we got the basic push start and yes this one you start when the key is in second position,. If you purchase a complete push kit, this would allow you to stop/switch the engine off by pushing the button but you’ll have to get it installed by a professional unless your good with electrical work 👍
Good video but on my k12 diesel I think that the bcm is u/s. If I crank it via a feed to the starter and ignition on it doesn't fire. Key(immobiliser) light goes out with ignition but no crank with key. Relays all ok. Tested individually. Any repair for the bcm under the headlight? Otherwise replace and program. Annoying. Thanks.
Does the starter motor turn when you give it a direct 12v feed? If it doesn’t it could be your starter motor that needs replacing otherwise I would say new BCM & program
@@zabzproject1416 hi, yes it turns fine. Plenty of bcm's around but I need to find someone to program a replacement , without involving a dealership before I get one. Thanks for the reply, nothing like a second opinion. Great info you guys give out. Dave.
Just another thing you could try if it’s a manual is try to bump start the car and see if it starts as the starter motor maybe weak, if it doesn’t start then it could possibly be your BCM
@@zabzproject1416 gooday bro i have diagram on my box , what wire bridge into the back fuse box? The blue wire in (in) how and the other blue wire in my box where can i connect? This is my diagram in my black box 2 blue wire 1 is (in) and 1 blue wire is (out) and black wire is (grnd) and red is (12v)
@@zabzproject1416check this bro. If got the right bridge. The 1 blue wire in my black box. is connect to back fuse box(red) then the other blue wire in my box together in black wire bridge into negative rigth and the last wire red is into postive? ij total of 4wires 2 blue and 1red 1black this is right?
Hi, sorry about the delayed reply.. If your on about the blue wires from the push start module box, ours was the first blue wire attached to the relay box of the car or single blue wire.. but every push start wiring would be different… please look at the instructions or send us a pic of the box and instructions 👍🏼
@@zabzproject1416 Hey bro, since your micra is a 2003, is it possible for you to send me a picture of the interior fuse box underneath the steering wheel? I need to match mine up since they are in the wrong order. Thank you
i want to connect an esp32 to a micra k12, than to do everything I want with micra, cruise control, distance assistant....Iam still waiting for the parts from aliexpress, probably in 2weeks I will start my project, total cost of the project around 100 (esp32, a laser, a keypad with 3 buttons, a microphone, a camera for voice and face recognition, a tft display for water temperature, probably a gps sensor), just to say "micra 150km/hour, please" and the micra "vrrrrruuuum"
Could anyone explain what is the point of using "start engine" button together with the key? For me, this idea is completely pointless. It's like using a solar flashlight.
Hi Tiago, there are different type of push start button kits which you can buy from your local car parts stores or eBay Amazon. I bought my one of eBay for £20, so all depends on what your budget is. Hope that helped.
You can always choose your own preferred place, I only put it there as it was a perfect fit, if you choose somewhere else you just have to cut it for the push start button to fit 👍
