Spot on and very helpful. I like the way you didn’t use fancy expensive tools ordinary people don’t have at home but those we do! 😀 perhaps you could have given the torque setting for the bearing nut but it seems right is good.
Great video! Diy friendly, great sound and visual, I'm doing the wife's tomorrow and will be keeping you near bye for any points of reference I may need, thankyou!
Finally!! Please do more videos on this type of Micra! I had this issues last year and I had to take it to the garage. On a different subject, How to reduce the wind noise inside the Micra. on the motorway it can be really load and noisy, I can hear wheel, wind, engine noise. Also to know that on 70 Mile per Hour I get 3500 RPM which is really load! I always get a headache after a long day trip. Please help!
Interesting video & a job well done considering all of the various appropriate tools were not utilised for home instructional purposes!! (fine) However & of some concern was the fact that "NO SAFETY GLASSES" were worn, "NO NOSE/MOUTH FILTER"was used against the "POISONOUS" dust that was floating around in the atmosphere when the drum was initially removed??? Also as a new bearing was being fitted there was no hand/finger protection (gloves) from possible dirt/dust contamination etc, etc.!! I'm currently learning this stuff at a training institution & with respect, if my tutor had of caught me implementing this level of wokmanship he would have booted my arse forthwith & given me low marks & rightfully so!! Sure these aspects I've pointed out (& with respect) may not be absolutely necessary but they duly display a good & totally professional level of competence!! Might not have been the way Grandad used to do it but in line with modern vehicle servicing methods & practices, they are without a doubt the right & proper way to do this type of work!! Safety is "PARAMOUNT" & it doesn't matter if it is in the home or the workshop as it makes no difference to any resulting accident!! As we all have to learn whatever please accept this critique with grace!!! As a side issue, we also put wheel bearings that are to be inserted into a vehicle & try & leave them overnight (or even a few hours) into a fridge/freezer to cool the bearings & therefore make their insertion so much easier!! (it surely works as the buggers simply fly in) 😀😁😋😛👌👌
Good still you could have used plastic hammer while hammering bearing or some flat plate over the hammering area to insert the bearing perfectly in the position Still your job is good
can the abs ring fall off during replacement ? how easy can the abs ring be moved the wife had hers done but come back with an abs fault code but the person who did it dosnt recall seeing the ring ? thanks for any info
Howzit man , doing my bearing change, what size is that socket that you used to remove old sleeve and does the socket sit on a flat surface or in the sleeve tappered part ( the curved inside) Hope to hear back soon and thank you for such a useful video 💪💪💪
I have a Micra 03 plate i have a noise coming from the front passenger wheel but it only appears in around 30-40mpd and in excess of this speed but its not a humming it sounds like a card does in the spokes of a bycicle wheel but get louder when i turn to the right would this also be a similar issue if it is the wheel bearing??
@ Peters Schlagerbox. Thank you Peters, very useful information about which way to turn the bearing. 'The bearing has two sides, the lettering must face outwards'. Sehr geschätzt, vielen Dank und die besten Grüße und Grüße aus Irland
Did I just see you removed the rear brake drum whilst the car was held up Only on the jack???? That's not a very good way to show your subscribers the correct way to do this or any other repair that entails lifting the vehicle. You must know this???
in some ways the bearing change good but no attension paid to cleaness and the blowing of brake dust is not on by any ones standards thanks any way but profesionlism is important.
