These vans can be VERY effectively quieted. Remove the interior panels, and stuff Loft Insulation into every nook & cranny you possibly can. Then on the bare metal of the interior walls, stick on reflectex Insulation. The noise will be SUBSTANTIALLY reduced!
Do you think that this van is good for HVAC / Duct cleaning to run an air compressor out of it .? It looks like there just might be enough room for a small operation
A good friend of ours has one. He let us both drive it a few days ago. It has a unique "driving" feel to it, but I was not bothered by it. After about 15-20 Minutes driving, you get used to it and its no big deal. I felt very safe in the Van, and we pan to buy one in the next 4 Months.
It's a shame the US didn't get the 1.5 diesel engine and either the auto or manual like we do in Europe. Although the engine is smaller, it's much more economical and can haul the same weight limit as the US variant with the 2.0 petrol.
I agree with your assessment of the mirrors. I would like to see these about 1.5 inches wider, and DOUBLE their height. This would do WONDERS for rear visibility!
The reason for the 60/40 split rear doors is that you want the smaller door on the curb side of the vehicle. This van was designed for Japan, where they drive on the left side of the road. The set it up for export by switching the cockpit to the left hand side, but the rear doors stayed the same. This is actually a detriment, not a benefit. Look at the ProMaster City, which is the Fiat Doblo. They have the 60/40 split the correct way for left hand drive (Italy.)
619 OG I was commenting on the rear doors and how the vehicle was designed for right hand drive (Japan market.). But as for warranty, consider that the NV200 has a CVT transmission. It will probably last for 100k miles, but is much more problematic than a traditional transmission. Nissan CVTs are not known for reliability.
I like the way he says the design is simple and what he’s really trying to say is it’s cheap. Crappy hard plastics everywhere and cheap materials. That being said I just traded my 2015 in for a 2020 model and for the kind of business that we run, it’s the perfect vehicle
Late to the conversation but does the 2020 model comes with 4 windows on the side? Im planning to buy one but it comes with the 4 windows instead of the 2 windows that i see like on this video
Still to expensive for a brand new bare bones shell. The problem is people are using it to camp and that brings the price up. If it was just a work van the price would come down drastically.
I noticed there are no logo badges on the rear door of this van. Does nissan sell some this way, or are the badges removed for company advertisement wraps?
There ARE some reports of this. However, one thing you can do is put slightly wider profile tires on it. This DOES improve braking efficiency. Nissan is aware of this, but has failed to address this matter.
Hello guys, I'm doing a survey about nissan CVTs, I wanna know the locations(countries/states/cities) of every nissan CVT haters and Nissan CVT lovers as well.
My little 2017 NV just got wrote off by insurance (rear ended). It had 215,000km(134,000miles) on the original trans. The only issue we had was wheel bearings that started to fail at about 180,000kms. The fourth bearing was scheduled for replacement when it got wrecked. The CVT was annoying but worked fine...it is a gutless little wagon and the CVT doesn't really help. You always feel like you are beating the snot out of it just keeping up with traffic. Otherwise I found it to be the most reliable vehicle in the fleet. The small fuel tank sucks too..had to fill up at least once a day. The very tiny wheels are easily damaged by large potholes. I had to replace two sets of rims and tires on mine over the winters. In Canada btw. That said, they actually handle well in the snow...I was shocked and was expecting tow truck fees on the regular...but never really got stuck with it.
Neftali Rosado some people doesn't have any complains about nissan CVTs and there are also complaining against nissan CVTs.
