This is why I have a deep respect for Nissan. They could create legendary beasts such as this and show the world how it's done in the extreme edge of the motorsport. That, and the fact that the car is sponsored by both CALSONIC and NISMO, my favourite Nissan tuners of all time. Red + Blue FTW!!!
@twinturboteen18 True...The calsonic r32 in group A was such a dam beast!! and yea back then you were basically driving your horsepower...today it's aaall about electronics and luxury...that's why racing sports are losing fans these days...you're not watching at the edge of your seat anymore like you used to...
off the topic of nissan and i know i might get alot of hate comments but i have love and passion for the nissan skyline, related on lemans i wish they still had the mazda 787b but they said it was unfair, this car and that car are BEAST
The problem with F1 is, the teams that are running in the front, have been racing in F1 for decades now. Honda did build McLaren engines in the 80's but that was when they were still somewhat crude design. Ferrari, Sauber, Mclaren, and Renault Have been racing so long, I feel any new company coming in, no matter how deep their pockets, wont be able to contend with those teams unless using their parts.
@tilemaxx That car also has a MUCH better turning radius than the other cars, which is why I used it so much in GT4(shit in GT3!!). The Minolta and Sauber were monstrously powerful in GT4 they started with about near 1000 HP when you got em too, whereas the 787B only had about 768 Max(without tuning) even if you did it only got barely 900 HP but that 830 kg made up for it in the corners though, its in my top 2 with the GT-One. Matter a fact the Furai shoulda been premium with it. I'll hit you up
@WarpPal Don't mess shit up. I never claimed that the R89C was faster than the R92CP in real life, it obviously isn't. But it is in game. It's much smoother and accelerates faster. That's just a fact. And in game it's not that hard to beat real life times because things simply aren't the same.
@tilemaxx you will find it in used cars, all standard cars can be found there sooner or later I think (but it's quite rare so it might take a long time till it shows up...)
@TheOneAndOnlyGamer1 -i miss Group C and Group A ,these 2 were true racing, but they eliminated these and now we have stupid boring nascar and super gt that i liked it but i wish that these 2 come out again for true adredaline racing :(
Fail, Brawn had 15 months more testing then everyone else, they did their homework, while everyone else was semi involved in testing for the 2009 season, but were still focused on finishing the 2008 season. Because they had 15 months, they were able to develop their budget and cars around the 2009 rules, that's what gave them the advantage.
@DRIFTcvdf You are sooo right my friend...Today's racing has lost its glory...not to mention interest from the audience as well...I mean what's special about watching 16 cars racing around a circular ring? At least we have the LeMans series left to enjoy! :)
@tilemaxx Do you mean the 1991 LM race? The 787b was actually slow compared to the Jaguars, Mercedes and Peugeots. Those cars ate a lot of fuel, while the 787b kept on with the pace. It was consistency that lead to the 787b's victory in the 1991 Le Mans. It was not as fast as the other race cars.
Yes, but that will only be running at most the GT1 class against the Corvette, or GT2 against the Porsches, according to the weight limits and engine capacity limits they intend to go on. I wanna see these manufacturesr I listed, contend for the Overall win again.
@tilemaxx Really? I heard from several source that the reason the 787B won was because the car was much more reliable than the others, as in not so prone to engine problems and the fuel consumption was low, and that those were the reasons why it won, because it was slower than it's opponents.
I think the Formula GT is better, but I have this car in GT4 and I drove it in the Driving Missions (3 lap battle-Shart Circuit 2) and it's a very good car, great braking and fast reactions, very fast.
true but eather way its good if they can win in this class maby they will run with the big boys cause honda got into f1 and they sucked at that so they dropped out but in indy racing they are doing pretty well but i hope they can pull it off and break a few records while they at it
@tilemaxx You think so? probably because its premium, thats been my favorite from the beginning. in GT4 the two fastest Group C cars were the Minolta and the Sauber, but the 787B was right behind em, it was only underpowered I always used to try to catch em the the 787B. They seem to have rectified the low power issue in GT5, im gettin chills thinking about racin that on the The Ring. Its funny because I was arguing about that very thing on GT4 with somebody else...the irony.
@DroXDarkFire Do you mean fastest LMP/Group C car? The X2010, F2007, F10 and FGT are all much quicker, though the 2 Ferraris lack the top speed if that is what you meant. Even in terms of Group C/LMP, the Minolta Toyota is probably the best (which is stupid, it was slow in reality and you dont even need to buy it on GT5)
@VrOOm1337 what am I messin up if their is no clarification?? Thats just a fact!?!? LOL(well see about that). Since Gran Turismo is a SIMULATION, the cars should be the same as they are in reality, and I dont think since Polyphony has the closest ties to Nissan than anybody, they would incorrectly represent these cars, Particularly by your own private analysis. Things arent the same you say, MAKE EM THE SAME....with all due respect
@VrOOm1337 Well excuse you. Thats not an intent to insult, thats a compliment buddy, like a joke thats what we do over in my part of the world, Adult or not. Like I said before get on the Fuji n beat that time we see here.. THEN we can talk about which is better, im gonna try myself and see if I can get close to that time with either car, Particularly the R92.
Give who a chance? Nissan never won at Le Mans, Infact the only Japanese manufactureer to ever win was Mazda. Its a shame that they didnt put enough effort into the R390 project. the car was built by TWP for gods sake, they should of been contending, but they always lacked speed. Hopefully one day we'll see the likes of Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Porsche and Ferrari all back competing for the Overall win, now a days its so bland with Audi winning everything
