Edd fixes this awesome Nissan Skyline and hopes he can get it back to the racing game where it belongs. For more car clips from Wheeler Dealers just head to: / wheelerdealerstv Subscribe to Wheeler Dealers TV: ru-vid.com_c...
Also a "wing" that is mounted to the middle of the trunk lid cannot possibly actually put any downforce into the car since if it did, the skin of the trunk lid would deform under the load. So fitting this "high performance wing" is just a lot of fakery.
Hey it could be worse. Once they did an fd rx7 and they put on a snake skin patern wrap on it and also hydro diped the wheels and wing in the snake skin patern as well. It looked horible
Harith's I’m a welder and also a skyline owner and I know that it’s possible for the hot weld spatter to easily penetrate the rubber fuel lines that have fuel vapour in them. All it takes is one tiny amount and then before you know the car is ash. All he needed to do was get a piece of thick cardboard etc and run it from the strut tower across to the inlet plenum and the lines are covered.
I nearly died when he mentioned removing the original spoiler. Grinding my teeth as he drilled the boot lid to mount that ridiculous yoke! And nearly throwing up seening the finished product.
I love wheeler dealers but when it comes to JDM cars they just go terrible, the wing and wheels on this skyline and don't forget the terrible snakeskin on the FD Rx7.
That car was demolished after filming the episode. What makes this even more sad, is that no one ever realized it had the full and original Tommykaira M25 bodykit.....
@@tommyriordan870 There was (and still there is, i guess) an UK forum where people shared information about the fate of WD cars. I believe they checked the license plates and stuff like that! Unfortunately, i cannot find the website right now, should i find it, i'll post it!
I checked the licence plate using this: vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleFound?locale=en No mot and not taxed. Also cool spot on the Tommykaira M25 kit.
Watching edd as a kid working on cars made me go to college and get into mechanics! I would of loved for him to be the tutor! Still a car enthusiast 10 years on
So they repaired one rusty area, added an engine strut and a shitty spoiler. Why even bother? What's the point of all this? Might as well just ran it stock without wasting time.
I saw this on TV when it aired originally but never noticed that 1) there is corrosion on both strut tops but only one was repaired 2) spray over strut top and nuts without masking them off 3) welding right over a clean engine bay 4) the crap rear wing being added 5) said wing is going to do nothing if that boot skin flexes as much as it did when drilling! Some parts of the show are very good but some are just cringe worthy.
Too many people who know what they're doing opining on this thread. What it needs is somebody like me: I like watching Edd and don't know s**t about working in a garage!
Let's fix up the rust near strut tower and paint her nice.............. then remove the very tasty standard wing, put some rubber grommets in the holes....... instead of welding them in. Then throw that abortion on it! Edd bro as a former R33 owner I was heartbroken to see that!
What's an absolute joke, these two really do wind me, so-called bringing classics back to life, yeah right, I surely can't be the only one that sees all the mistakes they make on all the cars they work on....
Never, you hear me, NEVER use a wire brush to clean rusted panels. Wire in a brush are much stronger than a panel steel and it slightly moves panel steel, sealing some of the rust inside of steel surface. Only sandblasting or abrasive cleaning!
