Gracias Señor for posting this DIY and doing the leg work. Super easy. The only thing different I did was slightly pull the instrument panel bezel ever so slightly as not to crack it and ignition ring not to pop off. Thank you again 👍
No problem. I’m always out in the garage doing something. My kids suggested I do a channel in whatever I’m doing so there’s a lot of different kind of content here but I’m happy when it helps someone.
Much appreciated Quincy Squid. I followed your instructions, code said the speaker above the gauges was bad, installed a new one and IT WORKED. My backup alarm is functioning again. 2006 Titan 4x4 ex-cab Majestic Blue tow package 185k miles.
The impedance for that little speaker( basically what it is) Is too high. I researched it and found thats the reason they burn out or blow out. On my 04 Quest, I used a 10k resister in the positive wire to reduce the voltage. It's not as loud, but works fine. I just picked up a 2010 Titan with the same exact issue. Your video shows me where it is, I can order a replacement and will add a resister same as on the Quest. Good video.
Did you have the same issue I do which is the light is on and stays on once the vehicle is started and is put into reverse? Thanks for posting the codes as well. Great help!
Hi thanks for the question. I have only had that on cold days where I’ve had formed over the sensors interfering with the signal. If your alarm is going off constantly your sensors could be dirty or you could have a bad sensor.
C ur n okla too..will washing mud from under bumper cause the sensors to quit working. Or could I possibly got them to wet and have to give them time to dry out
Washing underneath shouldn’t stop them from working as the connectors have a rubber gasket to prevent water intrusion. Unless you were washing with 4000 PSI or something. Did you try the codes and see if you have an individual sensor out?
I’ve thought about that myself I’m sure it would be too difficult. Buy the sensors and wire them into your fuse box with the small speaker. Maybe I’ll do it on the old school Datsun truck and make a video.
After turning key to on and pressing sonar button 15 times my sonar light stays on solid and will not go off so I can't get any code just a solid light that won't go off. What's up with that?
