just an fyi, I've read somewhere a guide that recommended a 68k resistor. I put it in and got codes after a few miles with it. 100k resistor seems to be working better.
You reference two different Ohms in the video, 100 Ohms, and 100k Ohms. There is a difference as 100k Ohms = 100,000 ohms. Just for clarifications, which one do you mean?
How did you remove the original egr tube from the original manifold? I have a 97 hardbody and I can't get that stupid tube off to replace the head gasket.
Will this idea take away the rough sounding engine noise and the" no power "symptom? My code came back as EGR but not sure to replace with new EGR?? Dam. That part is expensive.
Maybe I"m not familiar with those years . You need to find out if the EGR system uses a temp sensor to gauge exhaust flow. If it does unplug the wiring from the sensor and install the resistor. If it pops an engine code then it won't work.
yeah exhaust headers. When i bought it the exhaust manifold was cracked so i bought the headers from my buddies kid. don't know where he got them from.
truthfully I couldn't tell you. the exhaust manifold was crack when i bought the truck and the tranny only had fourth gear. Had the tranny rebuilt and replaced the exhaust manifold with the headers. I didn't have any drive time with the stock manifolds before i put the headers on. i can say you need to get the rpm's up above 3,000(really closer to 4,000) before you feel any power.
@@wickedspray7475 i cut off the line connecting to the oem headersi have aftermarket header i am going to delete the vavlve just wasnt sure if it would affect anything
