Someone notified me that if you remove the cap over the nut it allows you to pull the arm back far enough to replace the wiper without removing the arm.
I will delete my comment because I also tried it on mine and it didn't work. The person who told me that was wrong. This is why you can't trust everything you read on the internet lol . The way I did it is correct
Came across your video when trying to figure out how to replace our Nissan's rear wiper. Thank you very much! We appreciate youtubers like you showing us how to do things that really should be in the manual.
Fantastic video. Thanks for posting because sometimes the simplest things seem hard until you see it done. This was easy but seemed impossible at first.
Great video, thanks. When the motor shaft is not seized on the wiper arm, that is simple operation, though well explained on your video. In my case, I was at the point of using the only puller I own, a big pitman arm puller. Looked again before on RU-vid and found another method performed on a Nissan Rogue's rear wiper. It consist in flipping over gently the wiper's blade. Done safely in a cinch (Versa Note 2014)
I made it easier way. I bought a cheap 12" wiper for $12 + tax with the same width of the rubber part. I pulled out the rubber parts with their 2 metal stripes from the new wiper and the old wiper without dismounting the old wiper, and swapped the rubber parts. It took me some five minutes. Tested - working well.
That video will help more people than you think. Customers at the Zone get pissed when we tell them that we can't replace the rear wiper blades for them due to the risk of breakage & the extra time it takes to remove the arm on most cars.
The tech at my auto supply store didn't know how to replace it. I certainly didn't know how. And your video explanation is the only one I've found so far that addresses the particular design! Thank you!!!
Great video budy. It did help as I need the replace it on my spouse car and I wasn't quite sure how to do it without breaking everything along the way. Thanks.
Aww, man...I thought you'd given me the solution to not being able to prise the arm off mine...but mine won't unscrew either. It seems to be stuck on there forever! 😭
@@themechanic6117 that was going to be my next step...but...and I hate to say this...I found another video that shows how to remove the blade without removing the arm at all and it was so simple that I almost died of shame. Just remove the cap over the nut, to give a little more flexibility, and pull the blade arm away from the glass with one hand. Put the fingers of your other hand between the blade and arm and push it away. The blade literally just pops straight off the arm. 🙈🙊😳
Nice one dude,I like these videos honestly. Wipers can make you look dumb as hell in your driveway when you're trying to remember how that thing clicked on so it doesn't come flying off on the highway.
I have tried without removing it and although I didn't break my wiper arm, I did scratch my glass haha. So glad to see how to really do it from now on.
Can you show the EASIEST way to replace the blower motor, since it's on the freakin drivers side? What a beast! I'd like to just detach the gas and brake pedals, move them out of the way without disconnecting wiring I can't see!

Great video, mines needing to be swapped out. I do have a question about this vehicle though. The radiator fluid in mine is getting old and it’s low, so I’m going to drain it and fill. Am ai able to just fill through the radiator cap like a regular car or do I have to find one of those specialty tools to fill it? Kinda annoying how many specialty tools you need for this car. I have the manual and I’m stubborn and don’t want to hunt somebody down with said tool or buy it myself, as it’s $400.
I see , i already have one of those tools. Its a universal tool that you can use on almost any car. It pulls a vacuum on the system so it only sucks in coolant when you open the valve and you dont have to bleed the air out the cooling system. I almost never use mine. I just bleed air out the old fashioned way.that tool isnt necessary
2017: "How to replace the wiper blade a on a vehicle?" "EASY! Just remove the bolt using a wrench and then buy a tie rod puller and remove the entire wiper arm."
