The truth to the matters is that most of today's Seattle residents are on medical marijuana and that they prefer sniffing that crap than nitromethane...Hence the lack of spectators!
Re; lack of fans, truth be told Seattle Raceway, nearby cities and surrounding comunities do a lousy, terrible job of promoting these races. We NEVER hear about them on TV and radio, if you're not looking for promo placards in your autoparts stores you'll never see anthing about the races. The lack of fans rests 100% on the shoulders of the race promoters and this drag strip. If these racers don't boycott this drag strip in the future I would be surprised. Yes, they race for a purse BUT they as well want to give their fans a show and that's not gonna happen in Seattle. Seattle should be ashamed because this is a wonderfully beautiful setting and the sound is awesome as it is being jostled around between the tall pines. It'sd just too damn bad.
Seattle is to "green" for racing in any capacity, its a shame, we could have had new Nascar track few years back and you should of heard the howling.......
You have nitro funny cars running and probably less than a hundred people in the left grandstand. This may be early qualification and not the Northwest Nationals, but damn, there is some serious action here. Maybe Seattle is dead for drag racing. You'd have thousands in the stands if this took place in California.
WHERE THE HECK ARE THE SPECTATORS !!!! This was a good funny car race !!!! 50 people watching!!! It would be embarrassing to run in this environment!!!
@@cooperbrosracing Here in Europe we have a total of, what, 6 top fuel events? Every year I go visit the NITROLYMPX at Hockenheim. A 485km tripp. In Northern America there's a dragstrip in every corner of every state ,I guess, that makes them like spoiled brats................
These are old-school 5,000 HP nitro funny cars from the 70's & 80's which are still running today. A far cry from today's 8,000-10,000 HP monsters like John Force compete with.
People asking why the stands are empty look at the clouds I work at a speedway and a couple of races didn’t matter who it was racing the clouds keep people away
It is Nostalgia Nitro. 240 to 250 mph is average, These run VINTAGE RULES. times are more like the 1970s to 1980s. 6 seconds is common. 5 seconds is wicked. FYI
I found that most of the teams I film appreciate what we do and work with us, not so much with the Bardahl team, they see us filming and will stand right in front of the camera blocking the shot and have seen them hit on my 15 yr. old daughter while she was standing right beside me
