On September 22-23, Travis Pastrana unveiled his vision for the future of rallycross at the Nitro World Games. The Pastrana-designed track was unlike anything that had been seen before, featuring banked corners, multiple line choices and a massive 100+ foot jump. This inaugural Nitro Rallycross event drew some of the top drivers from across the United States, and even some from beyond, as renowned drivers Mattias Ekström and Timmy Hansen made the trip to the USA to compete. The drivers’ consensus across the board was that track was about the most fun they’d ever had in a car, with most describing it like being inside a real-life video game. Not even just the Legend factor but the guy is genuine. I saw him multiple times go way out of his way to stop and say hi to fans, give out high fives or pose for pictures. Dude is a class act and you couldn't ask for a better ambassador for any sport.

We brought the whole family, we were absolutely astonished at what we saw. We smiled all day, even months later, just the memories and our pictures give us big goofy smiles. Just incredible! PLEASE come back next year. The grandkids have already planned the best spots to watch each competition. I couldn't even pick a favorite event. What Travis has created is indescribable!!!

No,the Sedan sti is much better,it means that Subaru is winning/competing the way they want,not going to the preferred and competitive choice of the hatchback.

This Nitro Track it remind me of X-Games with Colin McRae, or like that amazing Race of Champions.. For sure it is what all expect that rally-cross should evolve in to but we will see if FIA will approve as a Top Global rally-cross championship or something.. So until then yeah i'm excited it looks very cool ! (*_* )

Loving this. The jumps and banks look awesome. The video though, hard to hear the drivers talk over the music. Too loud, too much.

Seems like fun, but I sure hope no big accident happens that causes a bunch of drama and the eventual closure/shutdown of the track. Especially on that big jump, a bad bump could cause some serious issue.

@@christiannorwik ye they race in redbull sponsored rallycross, which is in America. But you are right maybe its more because Volkswagen didnt want to come or maybe redbull wanted a redbull sponsored car to win. FIA wrx has the faster cars with around 1-2 seconds avg. at the same track. And the people you listed there wouldn't be close to Hansen or Ekstrøm in their peugot and audi respectivly

Norways Dunno about Red Bull sponsoring ARX, but they for sure did that with Red Bull Global Rallycross 😉 I’m aware that ARX cars are slower, in Austin TX they were 3sec slower than WRX... but cars are the same, I don’t know how much ARX & WRX cars weighs but rest are the same... And at last I don’t mind this event being a more showcase of RedBull cars because TS made a great job... and adding two of the top WRX competitors in the mix is just 👍
