Grass Daddy i saw that! I bet soil temps and daylight hours aren't coinciding so you're seeing funky performance from your turf. you're on the money with a lack of chlorophyll production. iron, N, and magnesium will help it catch up. Throw some Epsom salt to your lawn!

Seems like your training was mine. I finished studies in the 90's (having elected to go to work right away). Then '96, one of your gals discovered glomalin ..... and that blew all our 80yrs old science acid extraction training out the window. '96 is nearly 30yrs ago. If it weren't for the parallels between the soil microbiome & the human microbiome, then we wouldn't be where we are. I was entrenched in the 80/90yr old agronomy & resisted during my max prod phase ..... but it was a teen enjoyment of permaculture & a Canturf pty ltd bias toward organic, that steered me. If it ain't permanent, you need more inputs. That works well for the npk advisor.

D'ya know that those dreadlocks around roots in a functioning soil can be +/- 2 in pH, compared to the soil mass ? Have you ever seen one of those graphs of nutrient availability in organic soils ? They tend to be wider distribution. My total phos is 81 ppm, my acid extraction/soil solution available is 6 ppm, yet my plants on tissue test are at adequate levels, (actually beyond adequate considering I'm measuring native grasses & the stats are on improved species in average conditions .... while I'm on a light soil). The regenerative ag concept is to return 30% of production to soil. If I do that in my grazing environment, then I'm spreading more than the agronomic prescribed amount of single super phosphate ..... it's nice not to have the cost of planes. One thing we have in our favour here in Australia is kikuyu lawns. A vigorous summer grower, so we return masses of carbon. In 10ac irrigated garden/hort environment, the soil has changed from 1 inch of pale top soil, to two shovel heads deep of rich black soil in 26yrs ..... that's an improvement from pale to dark, then from 1 inch to 20 inches in 26yrs, when the old soil science that you & I learned said 13 iches was max.

@@ploughboy6356 interesting you seem like you have a ton of experience. You mentioned 4 inch roots vs 30 feet grass roots. In the humic acid video do you believe humics have benefits ir is it just all about NPK ?

@@anth115 NPK is a human creation ..... it's the best our little brains had been able to comprehend ..... but nature is a system ..... so we require systems thinking ie - mineral, structure & biology. Humic acid assists in all 3. Did you know humic acid can bond both negatively and positively charged minerals ?

@ploughboy6356 so what would you do roughly for a perfect grass using humic etc? If you wanted the greenest grass on the block no weeds
