I checked this product out while looking for sensitive skin shave creams. Always had an issue with every other one I have tried and there have been many. This one doesn't irritate my skin at all and the best I found so far... can't beat the price on it for the results!
I've been off and on with DE shaving for years now and one of the things I struggle with is a good lather. Grabbed some of this today at a local Wal-Mart here in Canada and did a sample session. WOW! You're absolutely right. This stuff lather's up effortlessly and produces a VERY generous amount in comparison to what I usually get out of my Proraso Red cream and for under $4 CAD you just can't beat it. Thanks for the video and I look forward to giving it a try.
I find this to be one of the best values for the money in shaving creams. It's not fancy nor does have the amazing scents of some of the expensive brands but it does it's job very well and is all you really need to get a decent shave.
Yeah I also use the Nivea Men post Balm cream to replenish my skin after I've shaved as well and it does have a nice cooling feeling plus I also use moisturizer cream from Nivea for men as well to combat skin dryness
Hi Nick - you are right: that ingredient list for a mass produced non-artisanal product is amazing. I do not know if they carry it locally, but Drugstore.com lists it. We shavers should go out of our way to purchase things like this when a company tries to "Do the right thing" by producing a decent product line that caters to us.... I will be looking to buy a tube here and there. Thank you for making us aware of this interesting shave cream! 👍🆒
nick shaves I picked up a tube of this at a grocery store just to give it a try, hey $3.00 why not. WOW very close comfortable shave, and excellent lather. One of my favorites. Keep up the good reviews Nick.
I'm in the process of converting and wanted to thank you for your reviews. I will be getting this cream tomorrow. It's very hard to find in my local stores. Online has you just have to pay for shipping. I did get the post balm n like it a lot. I'm currently using the sample unscented kit from the art of shaving with a cartridge razor. I'm learning the growth direction while I wait for my de handle n blades. I'm very sensitive in my neck area n get bumps around chin n upper lip area. I find it most noticeable when trying to achieve bbs. I may have to cut back on that. But excited n looking forward to my new journey. Thanks again.
Nice! I prefer to use their shaving gel, however. Nivea for men has awesome products for men's face care. I also use their aftershave balm, face wash and moisturizer :-)
I picked this up as well some weeks ago and get results with it. I really like it on it's on as well. As a note I just got my first puck of Synergy (coconut bay) after seeing your videos on their soap.. So excited to try that out.
been using this last few weeks. found it for $3 at my local drug mart .. giving me great shaves .. decided to try it after watching one of your daily shave videos using it with a pre shave as well
I picked some up at a local Wegmans in upstate NY and I agree it is good cream for the price. I was surprised to see a shave product like this produced by Nivea because everything else from them is very mainstream. Nice review! Can you do a review on Mr. Fines aftershave next?
Totally agree with your review. Was $4.19 at my local CVS. I would highly recommend you also try "The Real Shaving Co." shave cream. $5.99 at Rite Aid. I think the lather from that will really impress you. Keep up the good work Nick. Great videos.
Going a little back in time here, but as I'm looking forward to try this for myself now (finally), I'm having a little trouble finding it here in Austria/Germany. The irony is striking.. As you mentioned Nivea is a German brand - but this product seems to be US only for now. Here we only have the blue/classic cream and the ingredients are far more inferior. Let's hope they release this product here as well... Cheers!
Woot! had the best shave ever today! I'm new to DE shaving, been working on my technique. I went straight for the Merkur 39c. Slowly been getting better and after 3 weeks getting better and better shaves! using the personna red blades at the moment as they came in my blades pack from MensBiz.com.au. Interested to know how the Blue personna are. are they better sharper etc. also love your videos. would really like to try this shave cream but it hasn't arrived in Australia yet.
Nick, where did you find this. I'm in the Chicago south suburbs. Can't find it anywhere. Also, just curious, are you back in the Chicago area? What hospital? Hope all is well.
There is also a new nivea shaving foam in a can it say is also the new formula with. No alcohol and for sensitive skin and its the only caned foam. I like it doesn't. Feel cheap works great but haven't. Seen it anywhere else i mean nowhere at all only at one of the safeway stores im sure is cause is fairly new and i think works as good as this cream well they actually look exactly. The same and the store started to sell it at the same time i really recomend it also. That and the proraso caned are.the only two. I can recommend
i´ve seen the Nivea products in South America Brasil, over 10 years ago so funny it wasint in the USA before oh i´m Danish and there are products i cant get as they make products for different countries probably due to the weather condition wether is humid or not
I have a Maggard synthetic brush, how would you suggest I wet that brush? Most people say not to soak it, just get it wet, shake out the excess water, and go. I bought this stuff a couple of days ago and after about 10 attempts, my lathers are still coming out like garbage, nothing close to what you just did here.
Hi Nick, nice video thanks. It's crazy, German company, but this cream is not yet available here in Germany! Unfortunately, this cream contains silicone (dimethicone) and is therefore an absolute no-go for me. Dimethicone clogs the pores of the skin and coates the bristles of the brush, so that it becomes nearly waterproof with the time. That's not what you wanna have with a 200 $ silvertip, right? Cheers, Dan.
I had never seen it before until just recently. They opened up half an isle of just Nivea products. I am actually planning on grabbing this shaving cream tonight. Since I discovered this line of products, I have used some of their other products for an aftershave and have liked them a lot so I will be checking the shaving cream out also
