I showed this video to my Grandpa back in September last year. He had horrible Alzheimer’s. His dad and Grandpa worked on the NKP and N&W out of Brewster. He got a real kick out of it despite not knowing me or anyone else in my family or have little knowledge of what was going on. This would be the last video I showed him. He passed away last night. I just wanted to say thanks for helping my Grandpa get the feeling I haven’t gotten to see since 2018.
I went on the first weekend she was in Cuyahoga Valley and her Nathan 6 Chime sounded like it had a sore throat 🤧 wish I got to hear that Hancock 3 chime lol. Either way, it was a blast and I was not disappointed whatsoever. Amazing video!
I actually managed to catch it on Sunday and was deeply impressed. One of the Historical Society staffers even got me footage of the interior of one of the _California Zephyr_ cars they brought along.
As excellent video as always. Loved the variety of whistles used this season. Would have liked to have heard 760's whistle again. Those ALCO FA's are looking good as well. Thanks for another great steam video.
As of five minutes ago, NKP 765 came through Fostoria Ohio at the Iron Triangle. I heard the deep whistle, but didn't see her. Hope she comes back through soon.
That isn't a 6 chime. It's a custom 3 chime, similar to the hancock 3 chime on 4014. The whistle 765 is using is actually Nashville 576's whistle. This is what 576 will sound like once fully operational after the restoration is complete.
Awesome footage as always! We just got home from riding the train today. I always like seeing your footage of steam in the valley. Any updates on the model railroad?
Great job man! I went last Saturday and Sunday, but Sunday was a disaster. They stopped south of Peninsula. They usually go much farther north. It basically ruined all my shots. Your shots were great.
