Coal and steam and nostalgia fuel this rail ride through the mountains of northern New Mexico. [NOTE: children no longer ride free, but rather have reduced fares.] The narrow gauge train itself is a thing of wonder as it chugs its way across the rugged terrain. The fact that the views are wondrous as well takes this train trip from special to unforgettable. A locomotive ride out of Chama is certainly #NewMexicoTRUE.
