It is a well known and liked landmark Nicky. I do hope it gets sympathetically refurbished very soon. There is a planning application to make it into flats but I am unsure if that is the right thing to do with it.
New? that signal was erected in November 2011! It was supposed to be a replacement for the one in front of it but now that in-cab digital signalling on the southern section of the ECML is about to take place I very much doubt that it will ever be used. Thank you for watching and commenting.
