The only Cattle I hear is maybe just a little in the vocal tone, where he sorta sounds like Travis when doing the high nasally parts. Other than that, there’s not a whole lot sound wise that they share with Cattle.

oh I've been listening to this album for 3 days in a row. this is something incredible, I immediately advise anyone who might be shown “monotonous” for the first time, just listen several times and listen at every moment. it is a masterpiece.

Entire album was basically a front to back massive flex from Vitriol showcasing their true mastery of technical death metal. It’s difficult to see this album getting beaten in AOTY lists already, but I’m so excited for what’s to come if this how we’re starting off the year!

Dude, this album is fucking great. The number of oldheads talking shit about it is so wild to me, but they're all over the place. I suppose the attention is still good for them.... but I've seen so many comments like, "These dudes can't play", "Literally no substance", "This isn't death metal" and "Proof that expensive equipment doesn't equal talent"... I just don't get it.

I guess I'm an "oldhead" now, but I love Vitriol. I don't think it has to do with age, cause those same people would probably say the same sorts of things about Gorguts, Hate Eternal, Immolation and Cephalic Carnage back in the day. "There's no accounting for taste."

I always wished deathcore would lean in this direction. Imagine if we got more of this and not a bunch of stupid ass breakdowns lol. Death metal has been putting out way more bangers versus deathcore at least in recent memory.

Dissonant deathcore you mean? I wish, me and my band wrote a bunch of tracks on that vein last year, although they sound more like “Ulcerate-core” or “Portal-core”. The problem is, I only have a 6-string and I wrote those tracks for 8-string. So we'll probably put them on our sophomore instead of our debut. If you're into similar stuff, check out Blindfolded And Led To The Woods (Ulcerate-core from New Zealand) and Plebeian Grandstand (blackcore).

If it didn't have the breakdowns, it wouldn't be deathcore. It's cool if you're not a deathcore fan, but it's silly to say it needs to remove the main thing that separates it from death metal lol.

Then make your own music. Why are you complaining to someones music. If you hate the deathcore scene right now then make deathcore song that you like and stop whining about. Deathcore has been evolving and someone like you keep fucking gatekeeping everyone with this nonsense opinion. Here's the example : if the band stick to their style way to their early years you guys complain because they still sound the same, and then when band evolve yet again you guys complain. You people are the reason why bands doesn't get the recognition they deserve, we have to support every band not complaining and gatekeeping.

Whats weird is i have a friend saying this is average for death metal and gave it a 6/10 on our podcast(almost was a 5 for him but the technicality and the fact he cant play this increased the rating)... How? Death metal isnt like this usually. Death metal is normally really really simplistic... i dont get it... i could also be malding but... this doesnt sound like a 6

Vitriol have a legitimately savage tone. Everything is just evil. Brutal guitar tone, unrelenting drums and absolute shredding vocals. This is the musical representation of bloodlust. 11/10

As much as I appreciate and respect this album, I don't know if I can put it at AOTY for me bc it's not something I can listen to whenever. It's so skillful and technical that I need to pay full attention to each song to grasp each track in its entirety.
