No Audio Output Device Is Installed in Windows 10 Fix [Working]
Users running into the “No Audio Output Device Is Installed” error find their PCs completely mute after upgrading to Microsoft’s latest version of Windows 10.
The issue appears to be the wrong audio driver being installed, with fortunately only a small number of users affected. Fortunately, the solution is relatively simple.
Issues addressed in this tutorial:
no audio output device enabled windows 8.1
no audio output device enabled windows 10
no audio output device enabled dell
no audio output device is enabled windows 8
no audio output device found windows 10
no audio output device found
no audio output device found windows 7

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

I know this video is old, but when I tried to install the driver it just said “Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device… the drivers were found but an error was encountered while trying to install - this device cannot start. (Code 10)”. Is there any fix?

I have an HP Spectre 360 Windows 10. I opened the Device manager and under Sound Video and Game Controllers there was the Realtek HW Audio Codec with an error code 10 (this device cannot start). So I was trying to watch this video without audio, I put CC but in my System Devices folder there was not one file with the name audio on it. So what I did was DISABLE the Realtek HW Audio Codec and then ENABLE it again. And that's it. It worked. Prior to this I had rebooted the laptop several times, one time it worked but then audio stopped working again. Not sure what the problem is, but this fixed it for me. Hope it helps.

I also had a problem with my Asus Vivobook and it showed like no audio input/output. I installed this driver and it works well. I think this will work for you since we have the same model and same laptop.

What??? I'm subscribing immediately. I've been on this for approximately 2hrs 40mins... Following every instruction online from tech communities. Where yours differs is checking system devices in device manager. Whereas everyone else says to check sound, video and game controllers. SMH. Thank you so much for this!
